Description
Life imitates art for 30-something writer Carrie Bradshaw, whose firsthand experiences on the New York singles scene serve as the inspiration for her newspaper column: Sex and the City. In the first season of HBO's hit comedy series, the struggles of finding a mate are seen through the eyes of Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and her three best friends — Samantha (Kim Cattrall), a public-relations executive who's seen (and done) it all in the bedroom; Charlotte (Kristin Davis), a hard-luck art dealer who still believes that love will conquer all; and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), a cynical corporate lawyer who may (or may not) be a pushover for romance. Chris Noth co-stars as one of Carrie's lovers, the notorious Mr. Big.

As a young woman myself, this has become that tv series that is reliably perfect and never grows boring with time. It’s dependable and its an instant feel good. It makes the city attractive and gives you hopes that love can always be new and never ends.

I became addicted to SATC instantly! Over the years my friends have been trying to get me into various shows like Lost, Heroes, Gossip Girl etc...and I would watch a season or two and just get completely bored. Then one lazy Sunday I was watching reruns on E! and I fell in love. I just became completely mesmerized with the show. I absolutely love the personalities of every character, the acting is very good (which is absolutely key!) and you can relate to everything (most things) and fantasize about having their lives too. It is so much fun...definitely not a guilty pleasure show it is sophisticated, funny, sexy and unique.

This is a show for all types: man, women, white, black, its for everyone. If your in a relationship or have ever been in one, you can relate. The topics seen on the show are those that all types of people can relate to. The writing is exceptional. The show portrays relationships in such a fun, light-hearted manner you're sure to be hooked by the end of it! In essence, Sex and the City has just enough of comedy with the right amount of drama to make anyone a fan.

This is the best show EVER! I LOVE IT! IT'S AMAZING! IT'S LOVEABLE! YOU'LL FALL IN LOVE! I just love this show! I've been here with the girls all up to season six part 2! And the movie is just the cutiest EVER! My favorite is Charlotte! She's just so outgoing and funny! She's the one who wants a family the most!

IM SORRY BUT IM JUST GOING TO HAVE TO SAY SOMETHING SIMPLE LIKE THIS
This is just one of the best shows you will ever watch. It has the perfect blend of comedy and drama. you'll grow to love the characters and appreaciate them for them. eventually you appriciate the quality of the storylines even if some run a bit flat because yo care about them. overall this is a fun ride about life and the humor in it. and with a great setting like New York who doesn't love it?

It is hilarious and heart warming as it deals with relationship woes we all go through. I definately recommend it to all 20, 30, 40, (etc) something women, and the men to! You will laugh and you will cry and fall in love with the characters immediately. Give it a try.

Carrie's "family" includes Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda. Though various men (and some women) may flit in and out of their lives, the four women always have each other, and that's a joy to watch onscreen. Never have friendships been rendered so completely as in Sex and the City. And sometimes it seem that it is rescued by witty writing and intelligent acting. This Show is a must see, even if you have to wait a few years to appreciate it.

i love this whole series. even though it can get nasty, and it's unrealistic most of the time, the characters are really fun, and it makes the sexual situation more comfortable through their conversations. i just love these girls!
