I love Avatar because of well, everything. The only thing that was wrong with this episode was that Katara was heartless in this episode by not only making Aang feel like her mother is more important that his nation, but that she confronted Sokka saying ‘Well you didn’t love mom the way I did.’ Now that is my least favorite part of it, but besides that it is a good episode with decent character development for Katara.

This is my ALL TIME FAVORITE SHOW EVER!!! I love it more then any other show!

This has been my favorite show of all time, even now as an adult. I could try to explain and or tell you how and what makes this show so amazing. But you really need to experience it to really know. I recommend The Dragon Prince on Netflix if you love ATLA. Hopefully Netflix doesn’t cancel the show but they are in season three, you need to hang on because some people think it’s slow in the first and kinda the second season, but I personally enjoyed all of it. It does have near perfect reviews by the third season. Anyways ATLA is still my fav but Dragon prince fills the void left by ATLA in the way no show has been able to

I just love this show and I don't care that it was intended for kids because I'm pretty sure most little kids don't even understand the whole storyline & lessons you can learn from the show. & I love the fact that Zuko is a dynamic character! Anyways, it is WAY better than the crappy cartoons now like Breadwinners and Sanjay & Craig. Some people need to stop waisting their time with that crap and watch this! :D

I like the show, although with some minor imperfections, such as a slight picture - sound delay in the first 5 episodes, and other glitches with the internets (internet timed out, never downloads again. Ever. I've tried). But overall, excellent show, i love it, and have loved it for many years!

It has a great way to end the show and has many cliff hangers.

This is without a doubt in my mind the greatest show in the history of mankind. The plot is thorough and intriguing, the character development is unlike any other and i get goosebumps every time I watch it. This show made my childhood 100 time better and to this day I still aspire to be an airbender. Everybody in my family adores the show even my brother who is in college. Buying this show will be the greatest 30 dollars you will ever spend. I have seen every episode so many times to the point where i can narrate it beginning to end. BUY THIS NOW.

Okay words cant even express my love for this show! Its is by far the best animation out there and probably the best tv too. I watched it on Nickelodeon when i was in elementary school with my family and we all loved it! To this day i still watch episodes (and I'm in High school now) its that good. You can never out grow this show unlike most children's shows. Everything about this show is amazing there is absolutely nothing i would change except for the fact that it was on nickelodeon i feel like that just down grades it as a show. Seriously purchase this show and watch it over and over and over it is completely worth the money.

Great show

Words cannot adequately express my love of this series. It's an absolutely perfect story, full of truth about relationships, people and life. The final episode is a thing of beauty, a work of art in no uncertain terms. I am a devotee of television and video media, and this show is the best of them.

I love this show. I love aang. I seen the show over and over again and read all the comic books. And just what I'm 15 and I still watch with the same passion from when I watched it the first time. I'm one of those people that are still praying that when there done with THE LEGEND OF KORRA that they will finish this series. People who don't know THE AVATAR THE LAST AIRBENDER won't understand the concept of the legend of KORRA. Many people are upset that they won't finish this series and I guess I'm one of those people. I'm begging you don't finish this series like this. This has a great plot to move on, don't just end the show like that. It one of the best shows I have ever seen.

This is the best show i have ever seen on the planet! I love how in the last one there is all this suspense and how aang looks, he is so hot in the last on acting all seriouse and stuff! It was a super great storyline (but the movie sucked). I cried myself to sleep the night i saw the last episode! Thats how much im going to miss it and thats how good it was! New hopes are rising up though, like with the legend of korra series the pre-quil to A:TLA i have seen the fist season of leggend of korra and i do say this one might just make it, but nothing can ever take the rightful place of aang!

People, this is one of those shows that everyone can love. My dad absolutely loves the show just like me. It has a great storyline, has interesting characters, and isn't always serious of always funny. It's funny though how a show so amazing can be made into a movie so terrible that I can RANT on and on about it.

I remember tuning in to Book 1: Episode 1: The Boy in the Iceberg with high hopes. It did not disappoint. The characters mature as the series continues and with every episode comes a trial they must face full of suspense and action. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone out there wishing for a good wholesome story involving an amazing journey.

Omg!: Ty Lee was super hot and that's why I watched the beach episode over and over again!, to watch her sexiness!! This show is great, which is the reason I'm so impatient. Come on now, they're already out on DVD...

This season is definitely the best one yet. With an even more vamped up plot line and unforgettable characters, there's never a dull moment. As the journey of Aang concludes, every Avatar fan clutches the edge of their seat in anticipation of what is to come. Perhaps the greatest Nickelodeon show ever aired, Avatar stands as one of the greatest shows ever created!

A side note:

For those concerned with why the new episodes (episodes 11-15) have not been uploaded to iTunes for download, it most likely has to do with the fact that these episodes have not as this date been aired in America. My guess is that as soon as the next DVD is released (May 6, 2008...the day after this post) the people of iTunes will be allowed to have these new episodes ready for download. Otherwise, the episodes will not likely be available until the "new" episodes premiere in America in mid July (Nickelodeon said July 14th on the Avatar page on their site, but then took it down about a week later, but look for the finale in July...possibly August but it will most likely not come down to being that late).

Let me be clear -- Avatar is fantastic...but iTunes has really let us down. I purchased a season pass so as not to be beholden to Nicktoon's sporadic episode release dates, and instead I am 5 episodes behind. The season pass is turning out to be a complete and utter waste. Next time I will wait and buy the dvd's when they come out. What a disappointment.

does anybody know when the next 5 (or all) episodes come out for sale on here? cant get enough of the show, and i hate cliffhangers lol, and lets face it, day of the black sun was the biggest cliffhanger EVER!

i LOVE this series, but i wish they would let us download the recent episodes. there's about 3 or 4 new episodes that are out on the web, yet haven't shown up here. Once that happens again i know i'll be satisfied =)

The show is awesome and my whole family loves watching it together but when I purchased a season pass I thought the episodes would be available on a more regular basis. The last release was on DECEMBER 4th! That was 2 months ago. It might be more tolerable if iTunes would communicate what is going on...in the mean time we all are waiting.

Bought the seasons past since it's one of the only shows on tv a care to see on a regular basis but the apple doesn't seems to release the shows on time anymore. Episode 11 aired December 14, 2007 and 12 on Jan 4th. Are they trying to encourage people to download the shows in not such legal ways?

I really like this show but there are three of the episodes missing I paid for a season pass and im not getting the episode you promised it would make me very happy to have all the episode!!!!

It has amazing character developments, beautiful animation, and a plot line that keeps you hAanging on! I can't wait for the rest of the season, I'm in College and I watch this religiously. Along with all of my friends... Its an amazing show.

Hi... I can't believe this is the last season of the show (shared in podcasts and confirmed by the head writer), and I'm completely in love with this show!! I don't see how Aang is supposed to learn Fire bending, master them all, and win over the hearts of the fire nation in 18 more episodes. I hate knowing this is coming to a close, and I love this show. How does everyone else feel???

I say that these 3 first episodes are really cool and wonderful and great and many other good adjectives. I just can't wait for the next one to be available. If I could give more than five stars, I'll give them seven. My friends turned green when I told them that I bought the season pass. I'm a grown woman who can't get enough of this show! A fan of animation, I became entangled by the story and the creativity of it all. The show teaches both consideration and empathy while also encouraging activity and a variety of martial arts. It's still a kid's cartoon, but the best kind - entertainment with a lesson!

One of Avatar's leading problems is that the story has the stigma of being an 'American' anime attached to it. This assessment, however, falls far short of the actual nature of the show. The creators have blended the stereotypical anime-based 'hero's journey,' which involves an unlikely hero and a group of friends on a journey with a time-limit (the eclipse, in Avatar's case); and a very American style of storyboarding and cartooning that blows most other cartoons on television out of the box. Combine that with strong voice-acting and a brilliant plot and you’ve got the most anticipated animated-television release of the year.

Avatar's plot has grown in leaps and bounds since the rather poor first season of the show, but it is this season's opener and the season two episode, 'City of Walls and Secrets' that really spell out that Avatar is a show written for several different levels of understanding. There is the children's level of the story, which the light comedy of Aang, Sokka and Momo's antics and brilliant one-liners, that ignores the far deeper implications of many of the situations the characters find themselves in. The adult storyline has reference to great works of literature, such as George Orwell's 1984, and a great many historical analogies that make the situation of the central cast seem all the more dire.

The consequences of war, the barriers of poverty, and the misinterpretation of history are all prevalent themes of this story; along with the continual theme of how war can destroy families. Sokka and Katara’s father has been missing-in-action since the first season and his leaving for war and the psychological effect it had on his children is a very prevalent theme throughout the story.

The plot of the third season deals with Aang and the Gang's adventures behind enemy lines within the Fire Nation itself - but I strongly urge people to catch up on last season before they start on this one - as it won't make much sense if you don't. Too much happened in the last season for one to be able to just jump into the story at 'The Awakening'.

This is so far the BEST show nickelodeon has ever made. avatar is like, me and my sister's favorite show. we record it on tivo when we can but iTunes makes it even better. You guys have improved. before you guys took forever to get these shows on here, and i never expected to have both of the newest shows on here. good job, and as for aang, he's improved too... WITH HAIR!!! he looked really weird at first, then when he put a headband on in his second show, my sister went gaga over him. all i can say is, LEARN FIRE AANG!!!

I Honestly remember seeing the first preview of the pilot. I thought to myself, "This is bound to be an interesting show." What an understatement that was. Avatar is full of adventure, with such twists that cause my heart to be with the characters. This is definately a must have. I own the dvd series, and I know that Avatar will be something I'll treasure throughout my life.

i fell in love with this cartoon the first season it came out. nick did something right for once.

Let me start off by saying that I'm 42, I have a PhD, and I love Avatar. Not just because my son also loves it, but because it is an incredibly well done show.

The plots, character development, the interwovenness of the stories with one another; all make the show excellent. As time as gone on in the Avatar universe, we've seen the incipient romance between Aang and Katara develop, the mistrustful and competitve relationship between Aang and Sokka grow into brotherhood, and Aang learn to accept his duty with determination and honor. We've also gotten to see how Zuko has matured from a hot headed teenager into a thoughtful young man, how Azula has gone from a merely malicious kid to a truly devious and evil Machiavellian witch. These are not the kinds of things you see in some cheap kids show just made to bilk advertisers for their money by wasting Saturday morning air-time.

What's more, we repeatedly see the characters tackle complex and difficult decisions, choices between love and hate, acceptance vs judgment, things that are easy but wrong agains those that are difficult but right... I don't ever remember seeing a kid's show that tackles these kinds of issues with its characters, and still leaves them with the complexity and reality they truly have. In Avatar, no character is purely good, no character is purely evil (except maybe Azula). We get to see the full range of their motivations, hopes, and fears.

The animation is excellent as well. Not pure anime, but not simple cartoons either. It blends three dimensional effects, anime, and traditionally storyboarded animation into a unique whole that distinctintly sets it apart.

Avatar: The Last Airbender is one of those rare gems that comes along only once in a great while. I cannot recommend it enough, for both kids, and adults.

I've got to say, this is my favorite TV series, and I'm, well, probably too old to be watching it. But who cares? All of my friends love it, and I've even heard other kids saying it's good. For some reason, it's just addicting. Nick said it was going to release in March. Fans were highly dissapointed, and I have been researching the release date ever since. Finally, this summer, avatarspirit.net (ASN) relesed the piolot date for september 21st, the first day of fall. I wonder what the whole season will be like.

I am so happy that the third season finally came out, i cant wait to see the rest of the new episodes. this episode is so worth your money.

Avatar season three will definitely be getting better and better after each passing episode. The storyline is absolutely phenominal and the characters in Avatar seem to have personalities of their own. I expect that many people, including myself, will anxiously be awaiting the next episode of Avatar. Avatar The Last Airbender is a show that in my mind will keep on becoming more popular with each passing generation of kids.

This show has been absolutely great. The plot, the characters, but the only problem i think it has, is that it took forever to make the new season! But, you should start to watch it because you'll get hooked. It's also appropriate for everyone, which is a great bonus. You can see how the characters become closer, better at bending their element (novices to masters), they also become more reveleald such as in the beginning, many thought Zuko was pure evil, it turned out to be Azula but still, he was just troubled. It has many funny, sad happy and anything else oriented moments, trust me, you'll love this show and wait every frida for new episodes.

After 10 long and hard months of waiting, it has arrived. Season 3, Fire! I was so happy to see that iTunes had finally gotten "The Awakening". It was a little slow though seeing that it took till Tuesday to get an episode that was aired only last Friday. But hey, glad that you guys got it. :) Can't wait to see "The Headband"!

Bought the first and second season using season pass, and finally the third season is here.

No complain for this lovely animation, just upset because the preview provided by Apple is not really a preview, just the same opening scene and couple second of previous season 2 scene. Hopefully the editor/webmaster will kindly enough to do more effort to provide better preview for following episode.

Finally, we have been graced by the return of television's most anticipated animated program. It was long in coming, but I'm sure all of the Avatar fans out there are rejoicing. I remember watching seasons one and two all throughout middle school, and now that I've begun high school, I have to admit that I'm even more excited than I ever was in the past. Season three picks up just where season two left off, and almost immediately it sets the stage for what will most likely be the most thrilliing (and potentially last) season yet.

Avatar is in many ways an ideal show. It contains several of the traits that make a program very enjoyable to watch: a phenomenal plot, deep and fascinating characters, beautiful animation, and a viewer-friendly sense of action and humor. So whether you're a high school athelete, a middle-aged soccer mom, or an energetic kid, Avatar has something for you.

Bravo, Nickelodeon. Bravo.

A good friend (who has kids) gave this show a glowing review...so reluctantly (I am in my mid-twenties and so a bit snobbish about watching a 'cartoon') I watched the first couple of episodes of the first season and I was more than pleasantly surprised at how good this show is. It is, quite simply, a brilliant bit of storytelling... it has an endearing characters, an engaging plotline and even spiritual/moral elements. This is a great show for kids (and for adults). I highly recommend it.
