I just watched one episode and I bought the whole series an hour later. It’s been a while since I have been this into a Star Trek series. The last one was good but I feel like this one is way better.

Not impressed

…as I remember it from childhood. Star Trek as I fell in love with it. Star Trek in its purest, most authentic form. This series brought me back to Trek.

Not sure what all the fuss is about regarding this series not being good, because it is actually great in my humble opinion. Just finished episode 4, and absolutely no disappointments at all. As a hard core fan of the genre, I am happy to have this refreshing new edition to the journey. Glad I decided to make the purchase, and I am hopeful that additional seasons will be future offerings.

The only honest rating... is 5/5

It is that good. As a Trek fan, this is the best series made to date. For more casual fans and for first time trekkies, this is still world class television and would warrant a 4.5/5.

All the yes.

It’s a Star Trek that actually feels like Star Trek… unlike, Pika-Card and Disc-Recovery.

The REAL StarTrek is back!

Thanks so much for bringing back a truly Roddenberry infused gem. Not since TNG, DS9 and Voyager has there been that good old trekkie feel show. I watched all seasons of Discovery and really enjoyed them, but as a 50 year trekkie, they weren’t really Star Trek to me. I really liked the new Picard show as well, but still—not the same. This show feels so much like a return to old school Star Trek. The actors are wonderful. They have inhabited their roles so well, that we can really empathize with their characters. And its not just us baby boomers, my kid—in his 30s—likes it better than all recent trek shows as well. I hope they’ll have a lot of seasons, as the characters these amazing actors have brought to life will be cherished as much as Data, 7, No. 1, etc. And the stories are great! The planet that requires a child to run the power was deeply disturbing as well as thought provoking. I love that good ole Roddenberry philosophy that offers the viewer more than mere entertainment and explosions. Well done, congratulations and thank you :)

a great cast, solid writing and just a whole lot of fun for everyone except maybe for people who never got the point of Star Trek in the first place.

Excellent.

Excellent in every way; script, acting, story telling. It has that classic Trekkie feel... looking forward to season 2.

This series is so much better than Discovery. It is S good as Season 3 of Star Trek Picard. This series goes back to what is truly is to be Star Trek such as TOS, The Next Generation, Voyager, and Deep Space Nine.

To the average Star Trek fan, there is nothing exceptionally unique about Strange New Worlds as it compares to the Trek series of the 1990s. Its unoriginal premise is used here to refreshing effect. As most Star Trek shows in this era lean heavily into serialization, Strange New Worlds keeps it simple by fully embracing an episodic format.
Additionally, the cast and characters are just delightful. Anson Mount breathes new life into Captain Christopher Pike and portrays him as the ideal Starfleet captain. He’s backed up with a fantastic supporting cast who almost-always have something to contribute in each episode.
Unlike its older sibling Star Trek: Discovery, Strange New Worlds’ plot lines work in service of its characters. Things about them are revealed through the stories in interesting, compelling, and joyful ways. When each episode concludes, you feel you’ve learned more about the characters who were primarily featured.
Overall, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is the best of the new Star Trek lineup and shows great potential to be one of the brightest spots in the franchise.
