I’m leaving this review to let potential buys know that the “up next” feature has been fixed if you purchase this set. Love the show and I’m glad they fixed the issue.

Despite numerous comments of mentioning the show not working properly in “Up Next” and being difficult to find where you left off in the season, I decided to purchase this show because I just love this show too much! And HBO max is just not for me... I can confirm “Up Next” works on my MacBook, iPad, iPhone and Apple TV, and you can also easily browse through the list of all seasons and all episodes and find what you want to play next.

Maybe Apple finally decided to fix the issues other comments mentioned?

Now, if you do click on individual season or episode in iTunes Store, it won’t go directly to your purchase but rather ask you to pay again. But as long as you watch the show in the TV app, you are fine.

BTW, great show and great quality. Worth every penny of its 100 dollar price... but of course if you can find better deals, go for it. (I’ve heard people got all 12 seasons for 50-75 dollars during sales)

Please, if your going to buy the WHOLE show, it would be great if it was organized into seasons. Maybe I’m asking too much, but honestly AM I?

After every episode it doesn’t auto play and when you press up next it send you to the episode page where they want you to pay $2.99. Issues been around awhile and no fixes. Edit: Seems like they’ve fixed the issue so I’m updating my review accordingly

There’s something buggy about this one - it pauses during the show a A lot & up next doesn’t work - it’s a constant “battle” to find out where you were if u switch TVs or devices

I got this series when it was on sale for fifty bucks, which was a steal. The up next wasn’t working for a couple of weeks but as of yesterday, it works perfectly and auto plays. Before yesterday, you had to manually press play to start the next episode in your iTunes library. Minor inconvenience but now everything works PERFECT.

The Big Bang Theory Complete Series is not broken out by seasons. Instead, you get one long list of 318 episodes. Want to see episode 297, get ready to scroll and scroll. It is terrible.

People giving it one star, don’t even know what to say.

Not only will it not show in Up Next without prompting to buy again, it starts freezing in nearly every episode starting in Season Six. Tech Support can't fix it and Billing won't help if the series was purchased more than 60 days prior. Do yourself a favor and get it on a different streaming service for the same price, if not cheaper. It actually works on other services.

The bug everyone reported is still true as of this review. I returned my purchase and went with another playform instead. For a company that makes so much off digital purchases, the user experience is extremely disappointing.

Let me get this straight.... y’all are giving this a low rating simply because you’re too lazy to grab the remote (which is right next to you) and manually select the next episode. >_> grow up.

iTunes has the worst organization of TV series of all services and they don’t care to fix it. You buy the entire collection and you expect that this gives you ownership of every episode - right? Well, according to Tunes - wrong. This only gives you ownership of the entire collection, whatever that means, because searching in iTunes library for any episode brings you to prompt to pay Apple for every episode. You only have one way of watching the show you paid for - to browse your library of TV shows, then browse through very very long list of all episodes until you find the episode you were looking for. Only at that screen would iTunes allow you to start playing episode. This is anti-consumer behavior that only Apple does, every other streaming service recognizes the fact that if you bought the entire collection, it means you own every episode and you are entitled to play them in order they were created.

Terrific show! Not sure what others are complaining about if you just push play on Lock Screen it plays the next episode...

Love the show but like everybody else says doesn’t work with Watch Now and it’s a pain scrolling thru to find any episode you’re looking for or to continue on from a previous episode you were watching.

Up next from carousel not supported with this purchase. If you start en episode and pause it, the episode shows up in “up next” in the apply tv carousel and shows your progress, but when you choose it, it asks for you to pay for it. However, if you launch Apple TV app and go to watch now you can resume the episode no issues. Also looks like this bundle is just considered “1 season” containing all episodes for all seasons and you can’t sort and choose episodes based on season. I have reported this to Apple.

Love this show to death but there’s no going to the next episode automatically like all other shows. Very disappointing.

Loved the show since season 1

Have several seasons bought through iTunes and they work well. This one doesn’t support the play next feature. Each time you try clicking on it it wants you to purchase the episode. Only way to play it is through the library and shows. Gets annoying as it doesn’t save the last episode watched.

I was planning on buying this but, I think it went up $100 wasn’t it at 99.99?

This does not work through Apple TV watch now. After going back and forth with apple for six months, they stated that because it works through your library, there will be no refund.

For a series with 20+ episodes per season, once you get past season five, you'll need to scroll past hundreds of episodes just to get to the last one you were on.

Itunes customer support is an absolute joke. I went through 5 different representatives because after 3-4 weeks, each one would ghost me and stop responding.

This is their final response after six months.

The final and very thorough investigation of your previous history with this case and refund request has now been completed and finalized.

It was found and agreed upon by all appropriate Apple departments that while this particular series doesn’t play like the other series, you can still watch them and they do still play as formatted and as they were made to do. All series, subscriptions and apps do not work the same way. Therefore, Apple will not be refunding that series. There is no other escalation path. That is Apple’s final answer.

This " thorough" investigation was one day, no input from me and no insight into anything. They know the series is broken and are actively roadblocking refunds.

It’s ridiculous and really annoying to have to scroll for 5 minutes to get to an episode and not have the next episode auto play. I bought the Cheers series and it’s a completely different experience. I have no idea why they can’t fix this. Buyer beware

In order to work to choose the episode, you need to go into library and pick out the specific library which is a hassle... especially on Apple TV. I have many other Complete Series and they work completely fine from the Search and with up next. Avoid this one. Terrible Implementation

Please configure this show to automatically play the next episodes. The show will not always have the next episode lined up to play. Instead you have to scroll to the next episode.

The complete series does not support up next on all devices. When selecting the episode from up next, I’m asked to pay for it. There’s not fix and Apple doesn’t care.

My Favorite Comedy show in years all of the characters including Sheldon Cooper, Howard Wolowitz, Raj and Leonard Hofstauder were all likable and funny this show is my favorite thank you I-tunes🧠❤️

Love the show, but the way Apple sold this is complete garbage. I’ll be requesting a refund and going with Vudu instead. Cant believe how much Apple has fallen the past few years. Profits over quality seems to be the direction they’ve headed

Like every other 1 star review, you can’t play continuously.. if you open up the TV app on and browse to watch now, the “up next” is the next episode and when you do click it, it asks you to buy it.. I’m guessing you have to scroll though to find your last episode.. like most have said, it’ll be bumped to 5 star once fixed

This show is very funny and the cast has great chemistry. The comedy is a bit over used but never enough to make you want to turn the show off. Now to address the problem everyone is having. Yes this box set is broken and you cannot simply jump to the next episode. However the series is on sale now for $19 a season. At 12 seasons that’s $240 and this box set is $100. At more than a 50% savings if you can’t take a few seconds to scroll through a list and find the episode you left off on that’s just lazy. I’m not excusing Apple for the way this is set up and I hope it does eventually get fixed. If it ever does my review will jump to 5 stars. However, if it bothers you then you can always pay the full price for individual seasons

Apple DOES NOT split up this collection by season. It’s one continuous season and there was no continuous play.

Just like almost all the other 1* Reviews, this is broken and only as one long season that won’t remember where you left off. Every time you log back into it, you have to waste your time scrolling through all the episodes until you find your bookmark. THIS IS BROKEN and Apple doesn’t care to fix it. It has been this way for about a year or so.

Looks like Apple greed is larger than their desire to satisfy customers :-(. Fix this Apple or just lose more business....SMH.

Vudu has it for $79.99 and will play correctly. No need to go through your collection to get the next episode. I requested a refund. Who would think a Walmart based company would have a better streaming service then Apple. Is this just the start of the fall of Apple?

The series is sold as one big season. It shows up in up next but attempts to watch the next episode are directed to the individual seasons which have not been purchased. Furthermore, navigating to the purchased, bundled season in the tv app reverts back to S1E1 so you have to scroll through all previously viewed episodes to find the next episode. Can’t wait until I’m on season 12 and have to scroll through a couple hundred episodes each time I want to watch. This is horrible Apple! Please fix this!!

Paid $119.99 and Apple is saying I have to repurchase them on every episode I watch!! Come on Apple! GET IT TOGETHER!!

Apple, you are slowly fixing the issues. The episode shows up in next up, it even knows which one I’m watching..... But.... like everyone else is saying, Apple wants you to repurchase the episode. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Almost there apple... so you have to go into your own tv purchases to watch it. Outside of that, the quality is good and it at least keeps track of which episodes I have watched.

Can this be cheaper? I love BBT but gosh it is expensive, do a discount on Black Friday

Changing my review AGAIN back to one star. They fixed the show showing up in “Up Next” but when you click the thumbnail to play the episode, it takes you to the store with a price tag for the episode.

Chiming in with other reviews here and stating beware that this series will NOT show up in your Up Next queue through the Apple TV application. I have not had this happen with other digital box sets that I have purchased, and maybe Apple/iTunes can find a way to fix this. Due to this, I'm not totally happy with this purchase and dropping a 1-star review at this time.

I miss this show and had to buy the complete season.

Not happy with the way it's laid out but hey at least i have all the episodes and some extras as well.

This is sold like a separate season, a single season.... therefore when you buy you own just a box set not seasons 1-12 but a single season of all episodes. This is told to me by Apple that is what they did.... therefore if you buy this and then go to search in their new Apple TV app for the Big Bang theory any season and any episode (expecting to be able to watch ANY as you bought all the seasons right?!?, wrong!!!! It shows like you don’t own any of it, why because you don’t own each individual season but a separate season made by them as an alternate season one which has all episodes assigned but does not connect or correlate with the rest of the iTunes system. Horrible!! I feel cheated!!! Lied to and unable to fully enjoy my purchase!!! Any other streaming eg. VUDU does not due this as bundles include each individual items within the bundle, iTunes does not!!! Would have went through VUDU instead had I known as this was my first iTunes tv box set purchase... never again Apple.
