Description

What does ‘season only’ mean in the complete series set? Very confusing. I’m ready to buy but need to know first. Thanks in advance.

Season 2 Episodes Not Full HD

At this current sale price, I'd love to buy this series, but I noticed that the Season 2 episodes are only marked as 720p, not 1080p like the rest of the series. Please fix this and I'd be happy to buy it.

As noted by other ST fans & consumers. This release is missing the first pilot ‘The Cage’.
Massively frustrating and incomplete.
I would have otherwise given it 5 Stars.
This remaster is conscientious and concise.
It’s modern(ish) without denigrating the original.
Crisp Clean with no Caffeine.

There's a mild glitch I'd like to report. Season 2, Episode 17 at 3:40, when the camera zooms in to the man with the gun, the screen freezes for a brief moment. This error occurs on my laptop and on my iPhone. Please fix this. Aside from that, this version of the series is great! To the people looking to buy this, it's fantastic! Ignore the guy from 2018 who wants to see The Cage. That episode didn't even air until the 80's, and nearly the entire episode aired within the Original Series in an epiosde called "The Menagerie," which is in this digital set. This collection is complete. And the picture quality is great! I also love the new visual effects for the space shots. It's a great upgrade.

Remastered is right. The shots of space and the Enterprise are so much better. 21st. century graphics do so much more than 20th to portray 23rd. Original pilot not withstanding, it is the original in all its glory but sharper and cleaner.
I own the complete DVD set but this is so much better. I only wish the Animated Series was available.

This release does NOT contain the original pilot episode, The Cage. Every physical release of the series has included it and all the streaming services do, too. To my knowledge it has never been available on iTunes. This is false advertising, no two ways about it. Also, iTunes has never offered The Animated Series either, so it’s impossible to own all the filmed Star Trek content through them.

2nd time I had to re purchase the HD series

I originally owned the SD version back as my 1st purchase with my Apple TV (1st Gen) 160GB model. Fast forward to Apple TV (3rd Gen) and the series was remastered with HD. Purchase individually $10 each season. Fast forward again to current time and it shows my library shows owing only remastered but NOT the HD version!?... the STTOS remastered was in HD, just like SW the Clone Wars. 1080p release then rebranded HD version and I don’t own the set either. 1 star for changing SKU that shows customer don’t own that version. It’s digital industry way of Double dibbing it’s releases. Adding CC option to newer version that previous didn’t have. Therefore not showing customer owns it.
