This critic has nothing to do with the content or actors, but has everithing to do with the language.
In the real world, Gianni, Donatella and Antonio have probably spoken italin with each others, but it is understandable that for logic reason in the TV series they speak English, but please at least give them an Italian accent and not a Spanish one, even the stereotypical one of every mafia boss on the screen. I know that is difficult to understand, but Italian and Spanish are two very different languages with two very different accents.
The horror for me was when in the second episode Gianni pronounced wrong the name of his sister…. PLEEEEASE. Italian is a quite easy language to pronounce, there are few exceptions, "double consonants" is one of them (Donate-ll-a). The idea that Gianni is not able to pronounce "Donatella" is very depressing.
In a very expensive production like this one, where you have the fortune to use native Spanish speakers that probably would have learned the pronunciation quite quickly, you don’t have at least an Italian native speaker to help you not to sound like a cheap telenovela? Particularly in a super elegant and polished setting, like the life of a important fashion designer.
