DON’T BUY - GET the DVD’s if you can!!! I’m sorry to tell you that these episodes have been edited down from their original versions. Standard air length for these episodes was originally about 23 minutes,.. but these have been edited down to an almost unwatchable 18 minutes which is the current average for television. Some of the best jokes have been removed and scenes edited down. In syndication, this would happen to make room for commercials, but since this is a digital copy that I purchased so that I could watch it any time I wanted without commercials, this is a pointless and infuriating change to an otherwise classic tv series. Shame on all involved.

This review is about the price, or dare I say, overpricing of the F.R.I.E.N.D.S. collection.

I’ve seen it go on sale several times elsewhere.

(Currently $69.99 at certain other stores for 2-3 weeks)

Yet the price here often remains the same @$99.99 & up.

Majority opinion have shared their thoughts on this in the reviews; which is damaging to the product itself.

It considered one of the most successful & beloved sitcoms of all time. The reviews here only show 4/5 stars. The reason ?

A large number of complaints that the purchase price is by many, considered too high.

At one time,you could buy the series for $29.99.

Now it is at $70-$100 higher. $99-$129.99

Perhaps sales would increase at a lower price.

$49.99 would be a perfectly reasonable price.

In my opinion, and I’m sure i am not alone,

$99.99 is too much to pay for a show most can watch for free.

I know it would definitely influence my decision to purchase, as well as many others. Thank you.

Friends is my favorite sitcom ever. Probably one of the best ever. BUT I give this a 3 star rating because these are not the extended episodes and there are now extras like you'd get on the DVDs of old. When those are available I'll make my purchase. Until then watching it off NickAtNight which shows the extended episodes.

I am a huge fan of friends and purchased this entire series thinking I was getting 10 seasons. Technically you do get 10 seasons, but it comes as 1 giant 234 episode season! It’s totally a pain and if you’re like me and know you like a specific season and special episodes in that season, you’re out of luck. You have to scroll and scroll and know the episode name to find it. Horrible experience for the money. What I want is 10 separate seasons. That’s it. Apple hasn’t been helpful either. If you know you like a specific season, buy them all separately.

Finally gave in and bought the entire series!

I wasn’t sure to buy through Apple or Vudu but I bought through Apple since I’m always on Apple TV!

Haven’t noticed any scenes taken out like most people have mentioned, $59.99 looks like the lowest it’s going for a good while not until their next anniversary or something. I just knew I didn’t wanna pay $99.99 or $139.99

Now to wait for the next sale of The Office!

The Blu-rays cost around this much and come with bonus features that aren’t included in this digital boxset so this is not worth paying more money for! I’m SO happy I now own the complete series in high definition! Well worth the money!

This review is not in the actual show itself but on iTunes. They keep raising the price and lowering it and it’s pretty annoying. It is not worth it if it’s $100 or more. I absolutely love friends and this review is not about the actual show. The review is more about the watching experience. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong or if it has to do with settings or the fact that I’m watching it on a Roku TV with the Apple TV app. But the complete series isn’t split up by season and you have to scroll every time you want to watch a specific episode. Also, there isn’t a feature to skip the intro or to auto play the next episode. I mean I bought the complete series so I still watch it of course but it could be more convenient to watch.

The comedy is stale, the acting is just miserable, the unnecessary drama between Ross and Rachel is so unbelievably ridiculous. I hate fake “aawwwws” and the fake “hahhahahhahahas”
