Season 7 opening episode is about the only good episode. The rest of the episodes start repeating themselves. Followed by new annoying characters and plenty of lame monologues that are there to actually waste time. And the writers and producers pour on the cheap cliches to try to bring a buildup to season 8. New dumb fans will love it.. Those who started from season 1 will notice the difference of how bad it starts to go.

The worst season yet! So corny, so over the top acting. Neegan is absolutely terrible as a character. Whether it goes along with the graphic novel or not, it's difficult to watch. Many fast-forwards occurred throughout the season. Not worth the $.

I watched the first episode but had to turn away several times. There's no believable storyline anymore, just violence! I skimmed the next two episodes before jumping to last to at least see if someone killed negan but miraculously, they were all saved! I'm done with this show....

This season is embarrassingly bad. Don't waste your money. It's pathetic how bad this show has become. Terrible acting, even worse writing, more time on characters we don't care about. This show has lost its way.

The Walking Dead executives mysteriously fired the main writers after season 2. Why? I have no idea. Season 2 was, by far, the best season. Perhaps in an attempt to have more dramatic, universal appeal, AMC thought new writers would help. Um, no. The show has been in a spiraling free fall since season 2. In their greed for money and ratings, AMC has destroyed the show. Ratings have dramatically dropped, and with good reason. Seasons 1 and 2 had a GREAT CONCEPT.. Let the ZOMBIES be the bad guys. Seasons 3-7 seem to forget the zombies. They focus on other BORING bad guys like the Governor, Terminus, rogue police officers and now Negan. It seems like the zombies take a back seat and are a nuisance to the writers now. I can't wait to see the ratings drop even more for season 8. AMC will DRAG OUT Negan, no doubt. When do you think the AMC executives will listen to reason and hire back the ORIGINAL writers of the show? Oh, and Maggie needs to go.

Fortunately, a season's pass at a reduced price in SD. Last season.

True fans of this series realize that this tv show is based upon a comic book. Furthermore, people fail to realize that nobody is safe in the world of the walking dead. Glenn gets no special treatment as do none of the rest of the characters in a world such as the walking dead. This series is as great as it's always been! I still support this show 100%! Come on season 8!

I'm a huge TWD fan, but this is the worst season yet. Each episode is boring and slow and most do not make any kind of impact. I don't care about the "villain" this season at all. If they defeat him, great. If not, oh well. No zombies. Turned into a huge disappointment. I think they killed off the wrong characters. This season has spent most of its time on B or C level characters. You hardly see the A ones, and when you do, it's just boring!!!! I'm not sure if I'll be tuning into a season 8. Most of my friends have quit watching. I wish they would quit these one character episodes and get the gang back together - doing what they do best!! Fighting zombies!!

Ignore all the saying that the season 7 premiere was too dark. Yes it was pretty gory, but they tend to forget that this is based off of a comic book. They did what was in the comics. This show is about characters who are going through unthinkable situations. This show is about humans losing their humanity while going through a living hell.

This show has action, drama, & very very good actors!! Each episode is treated as a season finale and the story line will have you bitting your nails until the end. At times it can get gory but it all ties in with the story nicely, to submerge you deeper into the plot. If you are looking for an interesting show to watch, this is your show!!

It's been all downhill this season, turning into "The Boring Dead." Filler episodes that don't progress the story have become the norm. Forget the characters, I'm not going to make it to the end!

This show is great! Season 7 episode 1 was amazing. Yeah, I'll miss Glenn too, but at least it wasn't Daryl or Rick. I think those that are complaining are little kids and/or the elderly.

For a season that's a shell of the greatness of previous seasons, TWD sure isn't putting in any effort to get these episodes out in a timely fashion. Seems to me the show needs to do all it can to retain viewers right now, which would include a prompt rollout of each episode. It's 2:30 a.m. on a Monday morning and no episode, yet other series can actually get each episode out nearly concurrently with the time it airs. Fire Scott Gimple immediately and get these episodes out on time for a change!

Gore and shock for the sake of ratings. I'm not squeamish just bored with it all. Just set of a nuke and vaporize the whole lot, including the writers.

My wife and I have been avid TWD watchers from the very beginning and this season was a big let down from the beginning. From executing Glenn to Negan hogging up each episode, it became dry and boring.

I purchased standard definition of The Walking Dead: Season7... after waiting for the mid-season break To end... and GREATLY anticipating and waiting for the latest episode... I am now being asked to REPAY for the newest episode: rock island... I bought the whole season all ready!!! Please fix this glitch. I'd rather not have to demand a refund and wait for NETFLIX to catch up. I paid for a product. Please deliver.

I have never watched this show, but was bored and wanted to see what everyone was talking about how great this show is, so I went and watched every season every episode all the way to the end, didn't pay to watch them, only like 5 I had to, the rest you can find online for free no commercials. I was shocked when they killed Glenn & Abraham off, Glenn was such a great character, people aren't going to like this, I liked Abraham too! Don't get why they acted like they killed Glenn and then he's found alive to just turn around and really kill him.... watching the beatings, it was a bit much, I watch horror movies all that stuff, I could see if you normally don't watch stuff like that this episode of the beating will be a bit much to handle. But over all.. all the seasons, it's a great show. I just hope they get rid of neagon quick! Hopefully they all get together and kill all the saviors...I love the actor, loved him in super natural and played in Greys Anatomy, he was a sweet guy in them, not liking him as a psycho maniac.....so far I think this is a great show... love when I find a show that has been on for like 5-8 seasons so I can watch back to back, not have to wait a week or for next season lol.. now I'm caught up! But it's on tonight! Season 7 episode 9 "Rock in the road" I heard it was going to go for 20 seasons but you never know.

This show is one nothing short of great, they follow the comics to a certain extent and anyone with half a mine to look into what actually happens in the graphic novels prior to watching the show would know Glenn died exactly how he was supposed to, kudos to the writers and directors for following the comics when it comes to big moments like that. You guys know being in a zombie apocalypse is taken accountable right? Just because a character is important doesn't mean they can't die. Rick will die one day, michonne will die one day, Maggie will die one day, they all will. Its life. No matter what they do, (keep everyone alive or not) people will hate. If they keep characters alive people will say it's unrealistic, if they kill characters people will say it's too much and they can't watch. I mean what do you expect from a tv show where the setting is in a zombie apocalypse? People say Glenn only died for the gore. Yeah because more people threw up than cried while watching Glenn die? I love the gore in this tv series, which is why it's my favorite. I also love crying when a very important character dies. It gives that realism. And if you're angry that the humans are more of a threat than the zombies, they said it themselves. They fight the dead, and fear the living. When the living attack, they attack. They will lose people. Just like in any war, people die. No side of the war will win if no one dies, that's just unrealistic. So why don't some of you get your fists out your asses and grow a pair.

So I will start off by saying I'm late to the party on this show and just started watching it last October. With that being said, this is the best written show I've ever watched and I've enjoyed following these characters. I've read some of the reviews regarding the current season and obviously a lot of people were upset about Glen's death and the level of violence. I was too, but going into watching a show about a post-apocalyptic world, you have to expect that you may lose some characters you grow to love. I have to admit that the season opener was extremely intense and difficult to watch. I did briefly question if I would continue watching, but decided to stay with it. I agree that the remaining episodes of season 7a have been slow, but I feel they have been necessary and I have a feeling that 7b will pick up pace now that our survivors are in a position that they are ready to fight. I also feel that this is good writing in that the creators of the show had to put our survivors into their lowest low and now (hopefully) we will see them fight back with a renewed resolve. I for one am looking forward to it! As far as the complaints about the price on iTunes, the standard version is more than $10 cheaper. I've also enjoyed the commentaries and actor interviews that supplement each episode and the other bonus material.

You can't expect the characters to live forever people who are made about it, it was bound to happen sooner or later it's a zombie show people are going to die and they aren't going to not kill a character because people love them I loved Glenn and Abraham but it was bound to happen true fans will keep watching

Also, to start this off, everyone who thinks that the show is "Too graphic" or "Too violent" should stop watching the show. If you don't like the death of characters, just stop. There's no reason to say it's "too violent and that theres too much blood and gore" what do you think a zombie is?

The walking dead is one of the most goriest, bloodiest, and frankly rather one of the saddest tv shows I've ever seen (tear wise), but ya'll are complaining?

While many are saying that the way Glenn died was too gory, or just horrific, that's just it. This television show isn't supposed to be all unicorns and rainbows, it's exploring into the depth of humanity if this ever happened.

You guys are complaining about this, when what if this happened? Who knows, if you were ever faced with this you would have to man up.

I absolutely love TWD, and I agree with everything it has done. I freaking love Negan as well. He's a funny character and while he has made some of us mad and sad, he has a good sense of humor.. And come on, any reasonable TWD fan loves him.

He comes around to be a good guy in my opinion.

Quite surprised to see so many negative reviews. So far it's been as entertaining as all the other seasons. I certainly haven't noticed a switch from zombie show to "torture porn."

excruciatingly slow plot, little character development and emotional depth, monotonous and devoid of the personality that was in the first couple seasons. Felt like taking a nap after 20min into the show.

Made it 3/4 of the way through the first episode and shut it off. Been a loyal viewer since the first episode on the first night when I stayed up til all hours to watch it over again. The show has lost its way in favor of one dimensional comic book character portrayals and over the top violence. No more for me. And $42.99 for a season? Pffffft.

Progressively getting worse, not progressing towards anything. After season two we started being able to count on about 5 or 6 worthless episodes per season, but now we have gotten to a whole new low. Now they have killed off some good characters, spread out the remaining ones, and it now takes 5 episodes to finish one chronological day because all characters are spread out. Thus nothing gets accomplished. And terrible actors become stars for an episode. Tara was fine enough until she got a spotlight episode. Horrible acting. Bleh. I used to love this show.

Ridiculous to pay this much for a season pass and have to wait until 2 AM to be able to watch at the earliest Reality is watching later, having to hear people at work talk about what happened on the episode - "don't tell me I have f seen it yet.m," and explain how awesome Apple TV/iTunes is with inherent delays . Come on Apple, release the episodes simultaneously when they air. Otherwise we may as well wait to binge on Netflix.

This season was waisted time, I should have doing other things rather than waiting for something good to happen on the show. Was really looking forward to the commercials instead of the boring story jumping from different parts of the lands owned by "the negans" it's really a shame because even Beth piano playing and singing is better than hearing the silly comments of negan.

The show is getting/already is boring. Every show is a dull build to something I hope does not disappoint. While I like the actor, I'm tired of Negan already. There is no real depth to the character; he is just a grinning and (apparently) omnipotent character. The writers are just torquing us up to take satisfaction in revenge without making anything in the journey worthwhile. Some episodes are just misery porn, while others are just dragging out the season.

The actors and production values have always been top notch. But the series is just wallowing in the bogs of helplessness at this point. The characters have been denatured, while the lead villain is an empty grin.

Seems this season has upset some of the TV show fans. If you've read the comic then you probably had an idea of what was coming in the season premiere. If not then you might have been shocked.

I was not. I love this show because they do not take the typical approach to tv shows. Those we love can and will get killed off. Those are the rules of real life and they should be for stories too. The idea that there is alway a happy ending, the "good guys" always win, no moral ambiguity for the main characters because they are always perfect are boring and trite.

Grow up people. Humans are horrible sometimes, even the good ones. And it's good to see it in the stories we tell each other. How else can we learn to be a better species if we cannot overcome our bad sides.

Good go TWD for keeping the story mostly inline with the comic. Otherwise the characters who are supposed to develop and grow would have no reason to.

Hey everyone, I have found that you can access new episodes 2-1/2 hours after airing. Try it. And as for season 7, I couldn't stomach or take the tortureous intensity of episode 1, so I didn't WATCH the KILLING scenes. I can become physically very ill if I do. Even without viewing it, you still take in all of the audio of what's happening. It was an OVER THE TOP episode for sure I agree. People could be satisfied skipping the season opener altogether. Your decision. The show does have deep character development, it's there look for it. I always thought Herschel's death was extremely disrespectful, especially the post execution scene with Michonne. And Glenn's death for me felt very similar. Both very cruel & fairly unexpected. Thought Glenn was too obvious a choice to be taken out in the series. Therefore, sparing our beloved character in the series. Since he dies at the hand of Negan in the comic. Boy, was I horribly mistaken. Keep it civil & respectful Walking Dead fans. Some time in a future season, we will have our revenge..

A lot of people are crying over having lost their favorite character but framing it in terms of dissapointment with the "direction" the show has taken. They were fine with the two little sisters dying when one snapped and killed the other, then the remaining one had to be "put out of her crazy misery" by another character. No problem with continuing to follow the show after some cannibals slit people's throats in a water trough in preparation for butchering them, and no problem with the same cannibals cutting off a guys leg, cooking and eating it in front of him then offering him a piece of himself, or the old veterinarian having his head sawed off in front of all his friends with a katana. The list goes on. "Inhumanity" has been a focus of the show since the first season. The slow slide into inhumanity has always been the theme of the show. This season is nothing new, they just lost a character they didn't want to lose and they are reaching. If you aren't the sort to abandon a show because it eliminated a popular character, you will still want to watch.

Best season I have seen yet so far! Jeffrey Dean Morgan kills it as Negan and every scene is tense and gut wrenching!

I'm usually never surprised by anything I see in the movies or tv, but I am absolutely speechless over that premier! I can sit through any horror flick and laugh at it while eating ice cream, but this was so real that it almost made me sick to my stomach! The baseball bat and Glen's eye!!! Very surprised they killed Glen. I'm no conspiracy theorist, but let's hope and pray our country never collapses, or this kind of event will be all too real! You won't understand that fear unless you have children, especially young ones! For all you whiners out there about the violence, you're watching a show about zombies roaming the earth where violence is a daily routine! Get over yourselves or start watching Sesame Street! The first episode of season 7 of course was expected to be violent. Some so called "fans", are disturbed from what they seen and wish they had never seen it. This show is about morality, just put yourself in these characters shoes. This would be very similar to what would become of us, in its own shape or form of course. The drama and crude viewing sets the audience in the mood that this is not your average zombie movie/show. Its easy to say that this show was grotesque, when Facebook users post crazier things. Is it that people cant imagine the reality of the situation the characters are in or don't ? I will forever be a fan and will always appreciate an artist's work of imagination.

Every season Rick has been on the cover except this one. Because now Negan is running the show.... also, to everyone talking about Glenn's Death ruining the show, read the comics first. It actually keeps the show going and leads to further development of my favorite character in the show, Maggie (Sorry, Andrea is my favorite in the comics)

So now's there's like ultra, rated X violence that has no point other than shock. And a King guy with a tiger. I seriously kind of wish we were back to trying to find/save Carl (who has wandered off...again). And since I mega-hate Carl, I'll take this as a bad sign. I would give the season zero stars if I could and kind of wish I could get my money back for this season. G'bye, Walking Dead.

season premiere made me sick... writers are real psychos

True Walking Dead fans understand that like Game of Thrones, we lose characters we love. They understand the show takes place in the worst imaginable earthy setting where human life has no value BUT... They also understand that character development is HUGE in this series. "Here not Here" and "The Well" are two of the best episodes in WD history. They show 4 characters that have gone from the point of no return and have come all the way back again.

Phony Walking Dead Fans:

1. Count zombie deaths to determine how good an episode is.

2. Never want to lose a character they love.

3. Complain about the cliffhanger at the end of season 6.

The walking dead is one of the best shows in history. My only gripe is the price iTunes charges per season.

I've never regretted watching anything so much in my life. Do yourself a favor and consider the reason canceled and forget this season ever existed.

I have no issues paying for the show. I DO however, have issues not being able to watch it until the following day. In this day and age it would seem like a small thing to ask from the people who are willing to pay for it directly.

Many complain about the human on human violence. Many whine that the main characters struggle with their humanity. Many cry out against the pure evil of human degradation being portrayed through the villains.

News flash - exploring these aspects of humanity, in and through both the main characters and villains, is what this show is all about.

Negan not only broke Rick, he broke the viewer. I myself begged for mercy when it looked like Rick would have to cut his own son's arm off to save the rest of the group's lives.

This show started great with the intelligent story and character relationships.After killing Glenn I'm pretty sure this show is going be on its final season.Glenn was the favorite of 75% of the viewers and you kill him in a horrific way in front of his wife.This show is darker than it's ever been and it's kinda funny cuz they just dug this shows grave in a graphic and stupid way.This show has moved from telling the story to pulling the emotions of the viewers as much as they can to keep people clueless.

This show one of the best shows I've ever watched hands down, period.

I purchased Season 7 with some reluctance, but wanted to see how the "darkness" of the Season 6 finale would be resolved. Unfortunately, the evolution of The Walking Dead story has been focused on the inhumane rather than unhuman, and the "regulars" have become less likeable characters. Insert pure evil into this cast, and the series becomes a lesson that I don't want to learn, an expose that I don't want to watch.

Others may like the progressions, and keep this series running. I won't.

Just watched the preview. This season looks dark and especially terrifying. To me the scariest parts have always been their confrontations with other humans. Negan is supposed to be the worst human ever.
