Dave could be skinny AND rich if he were Catholic. Truly. He’s doing pretty good though

Ramsey has gone downhill, and I’ve been a fan for decades. Dave is gone most of the time and his “personalities” spend too much time stroking each other’s book sales and engaging in mindless drivel. When Dave is there, he’s much more rude than he used to be and loves to rant.

I love this show. I love the advice for getting out of debt and it has helped me to not make stupid financial decisions. However they really need to hire someone who has had experiences with gambling addicts. Someone who has been married to one, someone who has a child that’s and addict. Because it seems none of the hosts have ever been married to or have had a child that’s addicted to gambling. Every time I hear them speak to someone who is dealing with a gambler they don’t seem to know the best advice. The best advice is for that person is to connect with Gam-Anon and work the program. There is no white or black when it comes to dealing with a compulsive gambler. I’m living with one and I have joy. I don’t believe ultimatums work.

Daily listener. I’m obsessed - listening in the car, at Costco, in the yard, and cleaning the house. I wish I had followed Ramsey 30 years ago. Trying to get my college-aged kids on board.

I wonder what the Prince of Peace would think about the way some of the hosts talk to people. And John, where in your therapy training did they teach you to interrupt people the way you do?!

Dave Ramsey took me from being in debt all my life to being consumer debt free! I have listened close to 10 years and have been thru numerous discussions with doubters. I was able to find the funds with 10 year track records Dave talks about that average 11-13%. Keep in mind these funds are slim within your 401k as they are limited in availability of your company. But when you merge your old 401ks, you have access to all of them. Keep listening and asking questions. This is solid advice.

Love when Jade, George, and/or Dave are on with each other. As a financial show, the psycho talk doesn’t really work for me too well which Deloney, Rachel, & Ken tend to do. I understand that’s what others may need however.

This podcast used to have a tone of help, support and encouragement for those of us working through the baby steps. Since around 2020 and bringing on cohosts, the tone has shifted. It’s more condescending to callers, especially newcomers trying to dig out and forge a new path. Plus, there’s far more political rhetoric and unsolicited opinions on conservative views than ever before. IMO, the Rachel Cruze podcast is what newcomers should listen to for consistency on the topic of financial peace. If only she’d be allowed to take calls, it would probably outrank Papa Dave’s.

I lowered my review of the Ramsey show because of the founder Dave Ramsey. His advice to live below one’s means, save, and give generously is sound. His financial advice is pure smoke. The rate of return one can expect in retirement and the acceptable withdrawal rate is dangerous. Seems to me Dave has this imaginary managed mutual fund that consistently out preforms the stock market. But if you research managed mutual funds no single fund out performs the stock market every year. And he doesn’t take into account for down years, 2021 for example, and if you withdrew 10% that year your portfolio would be toast. He is more concerned with people following his 30 year old advice than adjusting it when appropriate.

My husband and I love listening to the show. We’ve been working on paying down our debt and listening really helps keep us focused.

You lost me when the show shunned consumers that collect cash back credit card rewards. “Taking from the single mother trying to feed her children” scenario. It’s called being financially responsible. That is why I collect cash back rewards without paying any interest.

I love this show. It helps me stay motivated. My husband and I have a Christmas account that we put $50 in each month. We have been doing it for years and it makes holiday shopping easier. Some years, we don’t use it all so it rolls over towards next year. It helps us stay intentional with our spending.

One year, for friends, I printed off free babysitting and dogsitting coupons that I got off Etsy. Those were great budget friendly gifts and my friends really appreciated them.

Will Ramsey Solutions please upload archive radio episodes to Apple Podcasts? Those of us who love listening to Dave will burn through them.

Dave’s personalities aren’t for everyone, including me. I will unsubscribe once he’s officially out.

After decades, he’s earned this retirement!

Listening to Dave and the team has absolutely changed my outlook on money and helped me to build wealth.

Anybody paired with Delony is amazing. My favorite duo is Delony and George which is the dream team in my opinion. Love John’s personality and humor he adds to the show. Dr. D is by far my fav personality! Also, love the questions for humans cards have learned so many fun things about family and friends!

I don’t listen to shows that she is on. Has an attitude. Definitely brings the quality of the show down.

There is hardly an episode when he is on where he doesn’t try to CREATE scenarios for callers and when they say “no, that’s not it” he responds with “lies”.

So far I like it !

Great show for learning about personal experiences

Reflecting today on the moments that changed my life forever. God works through the baby steps , this platform, and the personalities. and as a result my kids life and hopefully their kids kids will be forever changed. From homelessness to almost a millionaire.

Absolutely can’t stand Jade. She is arrogant and thinks much too highly of herself. Dave is the best, but I won’t even listen to him if he’s co-hosting with Jade.

The show just simply is not the same without Dave, no matter how many different hosts are thrust upon us. I try to listen but usually tune out after a few minutes, with marginal financial advice and constant book promotions. Everything that has a beginning has an end. I’m afraid we’re approaching the end. Enjoy your retirement, Dave. Thanks for everything !

Stupidest thing I’ve ever heard.

I will be interested to see how the show will evolve once Dave steps away and Rachel and George are able to speak their minds. I feel like they want to take things in a new direction but are holding back at the moment.

More cowbell, I mean, More Dave! It’s boring without him.

Normally love the show but I can’t stand Jade W. She is abrasive and feels the need to talk over callers and the other hosts. I will not listen to any shows she is hosting.

Yesterday I made a decision to follow the baby steps and get out of debt after listening to many of the show podcasts.. I am excited to begin this journey to freedom!

I love their dynamic, they are just hysterical together. They had me busting up today!! Their advice really compliments each other too. I love all the hosts, but Ken and George are a real duo!

Like him or not, his methods work. They work well. You need to be disciplined. You likely ended up in the situation you’re in because you lack discipline. I can speak for myself that making purchases on want instead of need, taking the easy way by just charging something and not saving all drove to mounds of debt. I put Dave’s practices to work and am now debt free, working on my mortgage and getting close to a paid off house, 4 paid for cars and cash flowing vacations and even my kid’s college.

Thank you Dave for the kick in the pants that I needed. And great meeting you at Ramsey Studio. I’ll be back soon for my Debt Free Scream!!!

This is my #1 show to listen to. It has changed my life. I love hearing all the stories and being able to relate to people or learning for the future to avoid mistakes. I backed out of filing for bankruptcy in January to follow this plan and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made for my financial self. Thank you to all the Ramsey people!

WTG Rachel! The Nov 8th show, best I’ve heard you so far. You’re always sweet and kind, and this was so straight forward and perfect. Ps love smart money happy hour as well.

Generally like the show. However Dave recently claimed you can consistently withdraw 8% of your portfolio to live off in perpetuity. This is wrong and ignores sequence of returns. The advice is dangerous for those planning retirements.

Definitely for people that need a big intervention to their finances. Would like to add to the list of shows for some advanced advice / Q and A. The personalities are good but Jade is annoying and consistently and excessively agreeing with Dave is a little much. Getting a little pushy on selling the products as well. I get it’s a business but it feels at time can consume the show

Dave Ramsey is a phony Christian who makes a living telling you that you spend too much and selling you systems to help you spend less. Judgmental, mean, self-important. Can’t stand listening to him.

I found the Ramsay videos on YouTube in January 2023 and have started watching them every day!! So much more than just money talk, although that so helpful!! Keep it up, America thanks you!!
