Steve Gibson, the man who coined the term spyware and created the first anti-spyware program, creator of Spinrite and ShieldsUP, discusses the hot topics in security today with Leo Laporte.
Records live every Tuesday at 4:30pm Eastern / 1:30pm Pacific / 20:30 UTC.
A lovely and informative show and the only Twit show where Leo respects his guest...because he realizes Steve's value. No politics...just the facts. My only minor complaints are the sci-fi spoilers...ANY information beyond I "recommend it" is a spoiler to me.
Good but the advertising is annoying

I unsubscribe frequenty due to the adverts...they are very off putting. Then a good story comes along and I resubscribe...then as it settles back into filler content the adverts drive me away yet again. Very much a love hate podcast for me. Often great info...other times it just seems like a revenue machine...advertising with nothing of substance in between.

I have watched Security Now and the TWiT network for many years. This is by far my favorite and most educational journey of a netcast I’ve ever watched. Steve is the reason I am so interested in security and he continues to impress. By far an educational-worthy material that any instructor would be proud to place in their security classes agenda. I also just love watching for fun.
I believe this is the second best netcast for TWiT, with around 100,000 dedicated listeners/watchers. Well deserved, and thank you Steve and Leo.

It’s hard to find shows that take a critical look at security news and do so in a polished format, thanks TWiT! I’ve been a listener since almost the beginning and have only two criticisms. I don’t like all the off-topic banter. I know Steve thinks people appreciate it and I’m sure some do. I’m not one of them. I am also sometimes concerned about Steve’s willingness to assert presumptive facts. While he’s often right, he’s not 100% and it reminds me to think critically about any explanation I hear.
Overall, I keep coming back because it’s a fine product and frankly, I owe my career success to Steve sparking an interest in the topic.
