Bob Boilen is the youngest man who can pull off wearing a fedora. He’s also the hippest veteran music scout around. The musicians he finds are simultaneously brand-new old-souls. In an era where there’s so many option streaming past, the Tiny Desk sifts through to find musical gold.

Only a couple of people that have been on this podcast have I been like Dear lord, get that the hell away from me, but so many of the different artists are geniuses in their own ways & this podcast continues to lead me to new artists that are so into it & my favorite so far was John Legend. They should really have him back. That guy is amazing. I know they already have a bunch of reviews for this podcast but somebody's gotta read this

Great episode with Trey Anastasio, he is such a talented musician! And it is really lovely how he beams about his wife Sue.

Many of the versions on TDC are better in my opinion than the studio versions. Keep em coming. Really enjoyed the recent Hozier visit, but there are so many going back to Kishi Bashi and Magnetic zeros to Alt-J and the Pixies. I want to work there! Love hearing what u guys come up with.

Great, but why no HD?

I simply love these, but not having HD quality video is getting annoying. Even just 720p would be great...please.

The audio version would be good, but the video was excellent. I wonder how long that show took to make and edit.
Any "artists" who lip synch wouldn't get within a mile of this show! It is for real musicians.

Awesome!

My favorites so far are Tune-Yards, TMBG, Amanda Palmer, Tom Jones, and Reggie Watts. Recommendations for future episodes:
Black Keys
Dirty Projectors
Tame Impala
Magnetic Fields
Phil Collins
Florence and the Machine
Stephen Lynch
Nick Cave

I love this podcast. The idea that I can watch a live concert no matter where I am on my phone is awesome. My 15 month old also loves them, and we watch them over breakfast. However, the last two that have come out I have been unable to download on my phone. So I've had to just delete them. So sad. At least I still have some of my favorites saved to go back and watch. Please go back to whatever file type I can download and watch!

These are amazing. The audio is great. The video is great. And there's a ton of great acts to check out. I would love an audio only version though that I can listen to while driving.

When Adele breaks into her first song of her three song set, i think im going have an emotional breakdown. If its possible to sing with any more emotion, heart, power, beauty, i could go on with the adjectives all day. I have listened to this podcast well over 100 times, and it still has the same effect on me. If you haven't listened to her yet, don't wait any longer!
Keep up the great work Mr. Boilen and crew, outstanding job.

I think everything about this podcast is just great. The sound quality blows me away. I feel like I'm sitting right there in the office. There's just nothing better lately after a long crazy day then to put my headphones in and watch one of these concerts. I love love love Chuck Brown, Adam Acuragi (though I can't quite his last name spelling down), Sharon Van Etten, and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. Love 'em, love 'em and without this podcast I might never have even heard of them. Thanks NPR.....

One of the coolest/creative podcasts out there!

Just listened to Tom Jones, Jacob Dylan, Avi, and The Swell Season...best hour of my day (it's 3:28am). This is exactly what we need in the world of music right now. BYWay Swell Season was absolutely brilliant. Their performance will blow your mind. If you are not a fan, you will be after one minute into the first set.

If you're even looking at this you should really subscribe now. There's not much to complain about. I've discovered so many great artists that I've never even heard of through this pod-cast. There are a lot of conventional guitar-toting singer/songwriters, but often my favorite performers are those that use unique instrumentation. The Low Anthem for instance uses two cellphones to create very interesting textures. My favorite however was Edmar Castaneda. I couldn't even believe what I was seeing. I was trying to find the hidden bassist (Edmar plays a columbian harp and plays his own basslines).
Thanks again NPR.
