Adam, Jamey, Dave and Heath make driving home from work so much more enjoyable. Their pre-draft and week-to-week analysis is interesting, thoughtful, and fact-based--helped me win a lot of games through the years! They all add a funny and personal touch to the show as they often joke about each other. I'm so glad this podcast exists and don't plan to ever stop listening!

This podcast is fun and informative for any fantasy football fan. The guys have well thought out and differing opinions that really help the listener make up their own mind on players or strategy. The host Adam does a great job at moving the show along to hit a good amount of topics.
This is a must listen to for any competitive fantasy football fan!

This is what I listen to at the gym to make my workout seem less tedious. The guys bring their own perspectives, backup their arguments with numbers, breakdown every piece of news, offer fresh drafting strategies, and keep it interesting. They have a great rapport and even when they do go off topic, it's at least entertaining.

I agree with Nuclearsunburn that Fantasy Footballers is very, very good. But CBS still is just a bit better on the analysis and is on par with the Footballers on chemistry/humor. Both are vastly superior to both ESPN and the NFL's version. Football Guys/Audible may go the deepest on analysis, but that can be both bad and good: They go so deep on certain tangents that it becomes a bit of "do we really need to hear this extensive of a discussion on such a minor point?"
Anyway, re. CBS: I strongly disagree with Nuclearsunburn about preferring Heath and Chris and Adam .... Heath is a "podcast killer." The CBS show has largely been without him during the off-season and this has been a great example of addition by subtraction. Heath is not funny. He is not informed. He is pompus, and his charmless podcast presence (flat delivery, self-satisfied tone, etc.) leads to chemistry isssues with the rest of the guys (especially Adam, who often calls Heath out on his idiotic opinions).
Dump Heath for good and this is a five star show again. The chemistry among the trio of Dave, Jamey and Adam is excellent. Jamey is always very informed and full of useful data/information. Adam is one of the best hosts you'll find on any podcasts. And Dave's humor and insights round things out nicely. (I also disagree with Nuclearsunburn about friction between Dave and Jamey. Quite the contrary. They come across as longtime friends who like to tease each other, and, even more so, Adam. That's all part of the fun.)
Another suggestion: Do NOT do interviews with players, CBS ... Ugh! Just did one with that WR from Tennessee and it was just 20 minutes of dead air. Nobody downloads a FF podcast to listen to a jock interview. We want FF insight, not the standard "jock speak" that offers nothing of any value.

I used to think this was a good show...

Then I listened to The Fantasy Footballers, who are in every way superior in analysis and entertainment value. The dynamic between Dave and Jamey just doesn't work, Jamey is arrogant and obviously rubs Dave the wrong way, then he starts sulking. Adam is out of his depth trying to corral these two and keep the show on track, which he frequently fails to do. Jamey also likes to name drop his cousin (actor Jesse Eisenberg) which is really annoying. I actually prefer the shows with Adam , Heath, and Chris, even if they have irons in too many fires and football is just a side interest. If you're looking for a top notch fantasy football podcast and only have time for one, look elsewhere.

Don't get me wrong this podcast is the best fantasy football podcast. By far. ESPN has field "anchorman" Yates. And the other one is "the fantasy football guys" the most informative but they act like there still in high school.
I'd give this pod five stars if Jamey eisenburg caught up on things. (DO NOT LISTEN TO THAT GUY) its all on record, just listen to some waiver wire episodes and mock draft this guy does. He would bearable, if he didn't act like he knows everything about ff. Or either try and talk himself out of being proved wrong or just acting like a complete dbag when called out. I would win in every league this "expert" is in. I'm an average manager. Calling you out eisenburg. He got his job because of his cousin. Actor Jesse eisenburg. It's not hating when it's the truth.
Dave and Adam are characters and keep the show entertaining.
Heath and Chris are ok. More informative and less entertaining.
I would like to see all five of them next year on a start and sit on all games once a week episode. 2.5 hours would be worth it!
More stats and less wasting time trying to out talk each other why the little stats you guys give are irrelevant. Too much could be really counter productive. Leave that to the guys on the other pods.

Been listening to this group for several years. Core of Jamey, Dave, and Adam have grown on me. They spend enough time on non-football stuff (sorry, not every Jessie Eisenberg movie is an instant classic) but save the meat of the podcast for analysis. Not a big fan of Cummings or Towers, typically avoid the episodes with just those two as analysts.

I have been listening to this podcast the beginning of this season. Over time it has grown to be unbearable. My contempt for the attitudes of Heath and Dave is growing to the point where this show is unlistenable. Seriously, you write fantasy football articles, is your job that bad?
Additionally, the folks on it, treat the listeners with utter disregard. It will become apparent in less than an episode.
Heath does not belong on a podcast. He is the guy that always has to be right. He makes it very hard to listen to. Dave is not far behind for terrible attitude. If they both left or were to be provided non-speaking roles, this show would be fine.
There are a bunch of fantasy podcasts. Until Dave and Heath are elongated, this one is not worth it.

Consider this the RedZone of Fantasy Football podcasts. After listening to ESPN's and CBS's podcasts over the last few years, CBS has the clear lead with 60 packed minutes of solid content that also gets in-depth on important players. ESPN is about 50 percent information and 50 percent fluff.
The strength of this podcast is host Adam Aizer, who keeps the conversation focused without languishing too much time on unimportant events. (But, seriously, the Bonanza MUST STOP.) Dave, Heath and Jamey are all great analysts as well.

I have been listening to this podcast for 2 years now, and am really enjoying how the rotation between Dave, Jamey, Heath and Chris provides different perspectives on all the players. Adam does a fantastic job hosting and asking questions relevant to owners regardless of scoring format. I've seen them reach out to listeners on Twitter to help set lineups on a weekly basis as well, which is something you don't see often. They strike a great balance between providing information and bringing some humor to the podcast as well. First off, I don't think every episode is 5 stars, but the show as a whole is to me.
Jamey is the most knowledge ale and accurate on the show and is one of the only reasons I really listen. Gets to the point with no BS. Can be a bit harsh at times but it's all for purpose.
Adam is a great host and makes me really enjoy how he puts the show together and keeps the other two guys on track. He seems like a friend I don't even know, would love to grab a beer with the guy.
Dave is kind of just there, he gives some good stats and matchup advice but his takes are just all very old school and when compared to Jamey he just doesn't matchup. Still, he is a very loveable character from time to time with his humor.
Heath is the new(er) guy and I would honestly say he's a blend of the other three guys, probably the second guy I would go to for advice on my team after Jamey. Don't think he adds too much to the show in terms of character but I do like that he always finds middle ground on a lot of topics.
Overall, I love these guys and they've made my drives to work so enjoyable. I feel like I'm sitting there with them more than any other podcast. While I feel like their might be some better football information on the Harris Football podcast or better humor on the footballers pod, this is my favorite show end of story.

Informative, fun, extremely knowledgable crew. Jamey, Dave, Adam and guests take the Hollywood haze off the NFL lens and examine the current conditions and directions of each team, player positions, coaching bias, etc. They address not only NFL considerations, but also the detailed affects of changes on your fantasy team makeup (including the variations of team/league formats), All in good spirit and with respect to the listening audience. Adam, Dave and Jamey are fun to listen to and provide a good release from a hard days work. I listen everyday and while it may not be the best podcast on itunes they do a good job of keeping it entertaining and informative. Theres one thing that gets me about both the CBS baseball and football podcasts though and its that they seem to want to provide help to CBS users and not fantasy players on competing platforms such Yahoo and ESPN. For instance Jamey seems to think that there is no possible way Reggie Bush makes it out of the third round when on other sites his ADP is around 45 (personally Im not touching Bush in the 2nd or 3rd round). This is helpful info if listeners only draft on CBS but I think they should realize that not everyone does. Im not trying to criticize because I do listen religiously and Im jealous that they get to talk fantasy for a living. Nando cracks me up when he locks onto players both on the baseball and football podcasts. Im pretty sure that he has stated he is happy waiting on WR to take guys like Steve Johnson and Dijon "Mustard" Jackson.
They do give good advice though and led me to my most successful fantasy football season ever last year in my long time "Buddies from High School league".
Check out this roster: (12 team RB 2 WR 2 flex PPR league)
Matt Ryan, Ray Rice, Jamaal Charles, AJ Green, Randall Cobb, Stevan Ridley, Alfred Morris and Aaron "dumbest murderer" Hernandez. Also had Percy Harvin when he was healthy. I barely touched my lineup all year.
Im done rambling. Keep up the good work!

These days we're lucky to get 2 of those 3 on the same episode, and this Nando guy came from nowhere and offers nothing good. He doesn't even seem to know the stats about the players whose names he throws around (he mentioned LaMont Jordan and Fred Taylor as examples of past Patriots running backs who had fantasy value). His thoughts on Dave and Jamey are spot on. When Dave or Jamey are with other guests (Nate or one of the wonderful ladies) they are upbeat and cordial. When they are in the same room you can cut the tension with a knife. It's almost like listening to parents fight. If it wasn't for the great nuts and bolts I couldn't listen. This has to be THE worst fantasy football podcast. ESPN Fantasy Focus is so much better. They talked about being mayor and Chicago pizza but didn't even mention the Bears game. The girl in the background kept trying to talk football and they would just talk over each other. No injury talk and only mentioned adding Vick. Someone even mentioned to start McFadden, which you know doesn't give them any credit

i think this podcast is pretty good it could be great if jamey and dave got along better. i think most everyone would agree they dont want to spend their time listening to two people argue. a well educated informative debate is good but arguing is uninteresting. the content is great, most times. they just need to keep their cool and not talk over each other so much. most people can only handle listing to one person at a time. i like the name games they play with players. their info helps me. im just sick of the arguing. but i guess its beneficial to have different points of view sometimes but you gotta keep it civil in your 'debating' cause you guys get heated and you lose people quickly. sometime i have to rewind to catch stuff cuz youre all talking at once. respect each other a little more and allow each other to finish and stop the arguing and you guys will go much farther.

Jamey is always pissy and annoyed. The lack of chemistry between the co-hosts is unbearable.

I wish this show was only hosted by Dave. He is highly knowledgeable, and east to listen to. I would give this podcast 5 stars if it was just him.
Jamey Eisenberg however...he is a smug, winey, know it all d-bag, that ruins this podcast. Overall, just tune out everyone but Dave, and you're good.

They argued(not debated, argued) for 10 minutes about Larry Johnson's value as a free agent. That is 1/3 of the episode waisted on something nobody cares about. These guys are idiots, don't offer any decent insight into fantasy football and have really annoying voices.

Great Podcast for FF

This is my first year listening to the podcast, and is the first one for fantasy football I have found worth listening to. Great insight, & knowledgable about weekly injuries, starting, and if the player was a one week wonder.

...this podcast started off strong as I thought it would be a great source for FF advice; but I just can't get past the whiney know-it-all musings of Jamie Eisenberg (spelling?). You know, you can provide insight without sounding like a d-bag know it all. Info is great but just can't sit through an entire episode. Sorry.

Not the best

Overall the shows pretty good although things that shouldn't matter matter like a 15 min talk about why you should take Tim hightower guess what nobody cares. This isn't last year he's gonna do nothing this year. Things get over analyzed and blow out of proportion

Horrendous Sound Quality

What happened to the sound quality this season? Sounds like it was recorded using a tin can and string (well maybe a pc). I have not had any other problems with any other podcast that I download.

Informative, Engaging, Excellent.

This is by far the most professional and intelligent fantasy football podcast out there. Richard and Eisenberg know their stuff and offer more than the conventional wisdom you can find in any magazine or website.

Decent commentary, but many technical issues

I generally like the commentary. Jamie generally seems better prepared than Dave, but overall, they give you enough of the facts to make an informed decision of your own. However, I have had a bunch of technical issues with this podcast. For example, the same podcast being posted twice instead of two podcasts in a week; wrong podcast posted (once I got a Fantasy Baseball podcast); and often I cannot hear the guys clearly even when I turn the volume all the way up. You can also get their thoughts without the technical issues just by looking at their website.

I enjoy this podcast the most out of all the fantasy football podcast. They are accurate and give it to me strait about players (I dont need stats). However, the times are cut off. This past one they ended the podcast with them still talking and they didnt get to every matchup like I thought they were going to do (CBS Sports website doesn't have the full length either). I would suggest doing more than two podcasts a week or make the recordings longer if possible.

Decent, at best.

For one, the sound quality is terrible. It seems like they keep bobbing-and-weaving around the microphones. Plus, one mic is clearly louder than the other, and you'll turn up the volume to hear one person, and have to quickly turn it down so your ears don't bleed from the volume of the other. Coming from CBS, I'm surprised at how unprofessional it sounds.
The advice is OK, but if you were a serious fantasy football player then I would use this podcast as a small piece of the puzzle; not as the only source of information. For a FFL newbie, this is a good start, but you won't win a championship in any competetive league by just listening to this podcast. Of that, I'm sure.

This is probably the least valuable fantasy footbal podcast I'm familiar with. They state a lot of the very obvious, and the few and infrequent insights they offer are always covered in the better fantasy footbal podcasts, one of the best of which is definitely ESPN's. What you're looking for in a fantasy football podcast is an edge, some information that you would not be able to put together on your own. For example, no one needs to be told that P. Manning and L.T. are playing better than earlier this season and almost as well as they were in 2006 - no one is sitting L.T. regardless. What is useful is to know about lesser known sleeper WRs and RBs that you could pick up in a pinch, an analysis of matchups etc.

Are you kidding?

I was just listening to the 10/15/07 podcast and I swear they just said to start Tom Brady! Is this the in depth analysis that were looking for? This proves that any schmo could be thrown on to a CBS podcast as a specialist. It just so happens that these guys made it.
Try coming up with more material and maybe even some actual useful information. Listen to other podcasts if it seems to difficult to do yourself.

If you are going to do a serious FF Podcast you should be able to do at the least 15 minutes a day. Update injuries, talk about waiver wire pickups, who has good matchups as well as tough matchups. I just wish somebody could get this right. Maybe I have to do it myself....

Don't waste your time listening to Dave & Jamey work on their Abbott & Costello routine rather than focus on delivering meanifull content! Dave dismisses past history affecting current matchups in one breath and then later uses it to validate his projection. Projections? More like guessing. These two disagree more than they agree in who to start or sit. Plus CBS went from having 2 starting WRs to 3. Neither guy provides any recommendations for WRs that would be productive in that 3rd slot. Jamey seems better prepared with basing decisions on fact. Bottom line..if you are a serious fantasy football person..avoid this podcast. Unless of course you are looking for humor! Because CBS Fabtasy Football Podcast is a joke!!

From the begining i thought i was listening to robots. They say nothing funny or exciting, just facts. And most of the time boring facts. I already know Chad Johnson is good! I don't need you to tell me this!

This helps a little but they need to get into thicker details. Also they don't really say who are the players to look out for they just say who is picking who.

CBS has been trying fro years to have a dcent podcast and I am glad they have kept trying. This year looks good. i wish it was a little longer. There is a lot to talk about. Several pod cast can get an hour in every week.
