This podcast is superlative to all other cooking channels. Hands down. The titles are consistent and easy to navigate, the videos are short and to-the-point (no ads, no scrubbing necessary), and the recipes are classics that call for realistic household ingredients. I absolutely LOVE everything about this podcast and use it all the time!

I have never learned how to cook and when I did fond some recipes I had trouble remembering them so I have always hated cooking. My husband and I went out to eat all the time or he would cook but nothing like a woman's touch and now that we have a child I don't want my 3 year old growing up on junk or fast food. This app had me wanting to cook everyday because not only is it delicious it is super easy and simple. I love the smile I get from my family and they always want a second serving. I love this app the only thing is I wish she had more recipes or come out with a cook book or recommend one. If Anyone one know of another app like this one please let me know I know she has a website but it takes you to other websites sometimes thank you.

It's like this podcast was made just for me! I'm one of the people who never learned basic cooking skills. By trial and error I've picked up a few things along the years, but these videos have a lot of tips that I didn't know. I'm super excited to start making some of the meals! I personally know how to cook pretty well already, but I decided to check this podcast out while flipping through the iTunes store. I love that she presents dead simple American staples, keeps everything under 5 minutes, and demonstrates good techniques. She also has a really fun, energetic style of presenting the podcast. I will recommend this to any of my friends who say they "can't even boil water."

I've downloaded and truly like her style. No fuss no fancy yapping, just quick n easy. Keeps clean surfaces and love the shopping lists she provides!

I'm a college student living away from home. I'm also a guy and I've wanted to start cooking on my own instead of eating out most the time, but lacking all the basics of cooking kept me from starting. I love how you have basic tutorials as well to compliment your more thorough recipe videos. Your simple yet innovative videos are fun to watch, and you're really gorgeous! I definitely recommend this podcast to other college students who are stuck with eating microwaveable food or wasting money eating out excessively. I found this podcast while attempting to tone up my cooking basics! These videos are awesome and I can't wait for more to become available!

Between cookbooks and cooking shows, I find amazing and complicated recipes...but almost never touch them from intimidation alone. Recently, I realized I need to improve my basics first. This podcast delivers just that, and I love it. People with more experience cooking would probably be surprised what people don't know about cooking, but I've definitely already had about 5 "Oh! Now it makes sense!" moments from only watching a few videos.

This podcast literally rocks. The instructions are simple and easy to follow, the recipes are excellent and most authentic, and the videos are very well edited to completely eliminate the non-sense sprinkled in between important instructions. All through, Kathy shows she's the queen of cooking. Highly recommended!

I love this podcast. The recipes are easy to follow and tasteful. There is a picture for every step and it's entertaining to watch. I made the Apple Crisp tonight and it was a hit with my family. I will definitly try other recipes. If you love to cook and you love to eat then this is the podcast for you.

The only bad thing about this podcast is that there is'nt more of it.The Santa Fe Chili recipe is super simple, can feed a crowd or provide a lot of last minute lunches out of the freezer.

The moving still photography style of this podcast destroys any value in using video. Any teaching of technique is totally lost. It could be done in audio only without any lost of info. I find it totally annoying. Don't know who it's targeted to. This is the worst podcast in this category.

I've been a homemaker for 20 years. My youngest daughter (5 years old) is just leanring to cook. She and I **LOVE** these videos. My daughter now says things like "That's the kind of pan you use to roast a chicken." as we do the dishes together. And she says things like "Oh my god, that's an egg seperator!!" at a yard sale. And, she says, and she's drifting off to sleep, "Do you thing we should make gazpacho for dinner tomorrow night?" Thank you, Kathy Maister, for helping me show my daughter that such a necessary everday chore (providing nutrition for your body) is also a DELIGHT! My daugher is standing here and wants me to add this: "Kathy showed me how to make pot roast with red wine. Kids can have wine if you cook it first."

A collection of great, easy-to-follow recipes. Plenty of them, and they're especially good for beginners). And they're delivered in style: The stop-motion photo feel works better than video somehow -- compulsively watchable as well as helpful. A real treat.

"Start Cooking" is perfect for a college bound guy like me. It covers a multitude of things a lot of people just don't have the time to learn, perfect, or experiment with (living off cereal for a few weeks gets old fast). With a full school schedule and a part time job, this show is great to prop up on my kitchen counter with my iPod and make a meal in no time at all. My compliments to the chef.

This podcast is SO easy to follow and the recipies are GREAT!! I recommend this to ANYONE who loves to cook but does not have a lot of time to do so.

Kathy and guests make it so easy to not only learn the basics of cooking, but provide valuable instruction in the use of and maintenance of everyday kitchen tools. For someone who doesn't really care to cook, the lessons are quick and fun. Many cooking shows leave people like me feeling intimidated - but Start Cooking feels like family!

It's impossible not to watch this and start cooking right away. I knew how to cook a bit before, but the trips and tricks I've learned from Kathy are awesome. This is such an awesome show. Friends think I'm a freakin' chef now. Shhh, don't tell them. Thanks Kathy.

The stop motion animation is such a cool way to do a how to video. It gets straight to the point and isn't annoying like all those other cooking shows. Go Kathy!

We discovered this group of videos quite by accident, but really love them. We are modestly successful in the kitchen, but still find these videos just terrific. Easy and fun to watch, and nicely produced. We have learned something new from each one. Unlike some other online videos that go on and on needlessly, these are quick, to the point, and "go fast". Well done and thanks for making them available.

I absolutely love Kathy's podcast! After looking at a number of confusing cooking podcasts of poor quality, it's refreshing to see one so carefully crafted. I had a B/day party last night for my daughter and it was great not to mention how fabulous Kathy's recipes came out. I made her 7 layer dip, sweet and sour meat balls and a spinach lasagne. We just ate the leftovers today.

I was suprised at how easy this cooking video was able to make creating meatloaf look. The video was short, to the point, not a "cooking show" with blah blah blah, but a pure recipe show letting you know exactly how to make the recipe. The video was great and let you know exactly what it should look like. Will continue to watch, thanks for the show!

I do not cook. Ever. Or, at least I didn't prior to Start Cooking. This show is the perfect podcast for those who are intimidated by or ignorant of the art of cooking. The name is perfect: Start cooking now!

The clean and clear production really showcases Kathy's straightforward and encouraging approach to cooking. These podcasts are perfect for the reluctant novice out there, and as someone alot of kitchen experience, I picked up new tricks and ideas in every episode I watched. These are a must!

this show rocks! The techniques they use to make the videos are simple yet produce amazing visual results. While on the other side, Kathy's authenticity and folksiness make you want to learn from her. This show is great for new cooks, because it emphasizes the basics, but it's even great for reminding us seasoned cooks about the findamentals in easy to follow visuals. Bravo to the amazing team that brings this show together.

Start Cooking is a great show if you don't want to sit through hours of blather in a cooking show. Short, fast, to the point, with great illustrations and no banter. When you want to actually make food as opposed to be entertained, Start Cooking is the place you start.

The production value on this cooking series is top notch. You'll forget your not watching the Food Channel! *grin* Kathy is a great host with recipies and tips that anyone can make. No foofy food here, just good old fashion quality cooking in the kitchen.

I love this podcast, it is exactly what I was looking for, I already have 3 recipes slated to try, easy to follow, can pause it to do the steps, and entertaining.
