My new fav pod!

Loving this podcast! Only wish it were longer. It's a highlight for me while on maternity leave with 2 small kids 😀 Liz's candor is priceless ❤️

Girl, yes

Liz’s perspective on gender, culture, and relationships (of all kinda!) is exactly the one I’m craving in these trying times

Not it

I originally had rated this higher, but recently Liz has been pushing eug3n!cs-based conspiracy theories online at the detriment of people with autism. She has fought against the use of the R-slur, but now she’s actually pushing for the eradication of neurodivergent people with her rhetoric. There’s also the fact that, in this disgusting moment of a rise of f@sc!sm and a push toward “trad-wives,” she is hosting a podcast specifically about how to properly fall in love with men and make sure their feewings are protected. I’m done with Liz Plank.

Relatable and Ruthless

Liz takes on sacred cows and challenges everything, even her own thinking. She provides humor and warmth in a time we need it most. Thank you, Liz!

It’s not a lecture, it’s fun

Listening to this show because it’s fun!! Even if you’re not dating— it feels silly and warm to follow Liz on her own adventures and hear people talk about dating and love in a way you would with your best friend. This podcast is not trying to “be” anything (too smart, too dumb, too on-brand, etc) and I think that’s why it works.

Liz is the hero we need but don’t deserve

Liz Plank is such a bright light and I’m so grateful she’s back on the air. I fell in love with her years ago reading For the Love of Men and have followed her anywhere she’s gone since. Synched was such a great show and was so sad to see that dissolved (and disappointed in the likely players responsible). More of Liz and more Boy Problems, please!!

Excited for Chips

Glad to see Liz back at it and sharing her voice again. Not really in it for the boy problems aspect, but I love hearing her take on politics, social justice, and the latest trends. Would love an intro in the beginning to your guest hosts and maybe the topics too. Sometimes it feels a little scattered for my adhd brain. 🤪 Keep up the good work! We’re here for you.

Big Fan! Fun Show!

I’m loving hearing from Liz plank again. I’m so glad she decided to continue this podcast beyond six episodes. Her wit, humor and intelligence is always a blast. I’m a huge fan of actually watching the video on YouTube, but I listen to every episode. Love it! Highly recommend.

Trite Anti-Feminist Swill

Nobody should be taking advice from someone who embodies all that is wrong with white feminism. Power hungry, back stabbing, narcissist pretending to care about feminist principles.

Men Need to Evolve

I don’t listen to Liz for the dating advice - I will never date another man. I listen for the fun. If men hadn’t revealed themselves to be stuck in 1619 when it comes to human rights, I might date again, but it’s impossible knowing they despise us & see us as less than worthy. Men see us as little more than brand extensions, proof to other men that they can successfully hunt, own & control a female. Men need us only for the free labor we provide & will discard us without a thought to upgrade to a newer, more supplicant, model. No more. I am free. I only hope Liz comes to the realization that she will never get what she wants or deserves from a man because they are pathetic, inherently weak and fear females more than anything. They know, deep, deep down that they are not superior & it kills their ability to have empathy for anyone or anything. They beat us. They debase us. They murder us. They really, really hate us. Why would I date someone who hates me & is likely to murder me? Liz - do a show about the marvelous women who won’t date again & are thrilled at their freedom from constantly walking on eggshells, freedom from being gaslit daily, freedom to be intelligent without fear of his manhood being threatened. We don’t need them - they need us.
As Don Draper says, “What you call ‘love’ was invented by guys like me to sell nylons.”

medicinal

Liz Plank is soul sister medicine💘 The only bad part about this pod is how hard it is to not be able to call her up like the bestie she feels like when i read her and listen to her. Liz was always the brightest light and mind in the lineup. She gets that communing around the “female living in this time of men crisis” is key to every awake woman’s survival. Thank you, Liz Plank!

Sound of her voice makes my skin crawl

Liz is an awful person for what she did to Justin Baldoni. Even before on her Podcast with Monica Padman she came across as a ditzy fake feminist virtue signaler of the worst kind. Can’t stand her.

Love This Pod!

Liz Plank is the songbird of our generation. I love this podcast. Honest, vulnerable, cutesy, and real. Liz feels like listening to the coolest big sis, and every guest has been insightful and a joy to hear from. 10/10 my favorite pod.

Like this is totally not it

This host comes across as vapid, unintelligent, & insincere. I don’t care for advice from a middle aged woman trolling about ‘boy’ problems - seek wisdom & sincerity elsewhere.

Who doesn’t love Liz?!

Boy Problems is like sitting around chatting with your best friends but you’re a ghost who can’t engage, you’re just soaking in the energy and vibes!
It is a breath of fresh air to have Liz on her own podcast where she gets her voice and isn’t dimming herself to share the room with anyone else. You get the full on Liz Plank Experience of unhinged (in the best way) comments, the feminism, the build up of other females around her, and her her incredible supply of intelligence! 5 stars! Do recommend!

It’s everything & more

I’m so happy you’re back, Liz! This podcast is a direct reflection of the sparkle, the nuance, the humor, the honesty, all the things we love so much about you Liz. Thanks for having honest conversations, for keeping it silly, and for being able to hold nuance and conflicting ideas within yourself. We all need to see that more. Because that’s being a human and that’s a huge step on the road to deeper reflection and insight. Can’t wait for this every week.

Liz Plank is hot, Boy Probs are not

I’ve been waitingggg for Liz to do her own show and she’s really giving the people what they want with this one! The intros are hilarious, guests are great, and advice is legit. I feel like I’m having a convo- or, listening to one lol- with my closest friends. I’m laughing, getting chills, and vehemently nodding “YES” during every episode. More please!!!!

Self care

Listening to Liz give dating and life advice, from the unhinged and vulnerable place she always comes from, is such a treat every week. I’m not tuning in for answers, but for the journey, and laugh-crying along the way.

I’ve been following Liz Plank for years and appreciate all the hard work and energy she puts into dismantling systems of oppression and creating a safe space for everyone, including men. This podcast is very hopeful and positive, and I enjoy the range of perspectives and advice from the guests she has on the show. Recommend!

Synced Fan

I was a fan of Synced and am excited for Liz to have her own podcast! I’m sad to see all of the negative mean reviews. Give it some time and give a chance! People can be so mean.Liz is smart, sweet, articulate and just a beautiful person inside & out! I love how honest and vulnerable she is.
She is so brave and always so positive. We need more people like Liz in the world! I hope she finds the true love she deserves❤️

The podcast we need right now

I’ve been following Liz’s career since she did the Icelandic episode of Divided States of Women (a must watch). I followed her last podcast (that I will not name) religiously, just to hear Liz’s perspective. I’m so glad she started this new podcast as I feel like all us women in our thirties are constantly having conversations like this or thoughts about these topics. It’s so fun to hear how Liz has navigated similar issues and her delulu solulu’s for all of our boy problems. I also found the isolation journal prompts through this podcast, which I’m now obsessed with.
Thanks, Liz!!

Substitute Sister

I wasn’t super familiar with Liz’s work and found her podcast through Katie Couric’s newsletter and I’m hooked! I travel every week for work and this is the perfect easy listening, thoughtful, fun podcast I need. I don’t have a sister IRL so I feel like Liz is my substitute sister. 🙏🏻♥️ with all the real talk I cannot even imagine speaking to my conservative/traditional mom about!

Un-Liz

I have loved all of Liz’s work until this point and was so excited for this pod. The first episode left me completely disappointed. None of the thoughtful journalism and in-depth understanding of gender and society I have come to know and respect Liz for. The shallowness with which the listener questions were answered were shocking. Telling a women to focus on getting hot when asked about true loneliness goes against my expectations of Liz as a person and journalist. I continued to listen in hopes the episodes would get better, but they did not. I guess Liz told us the point of this podcast in the summary- hot takes. It seems like this pod is just trying to generate a viral soundbite.

wanting more nuance

I’m glad Liz is back and I really enjoyed the first two episodes, but I could not stomach Scott Galloway—he lost all credibility when he repeatedly used the term “non-whites” to describe a spectrum of people of color during his literal ten-minute monologue. I didn’t expect Liz to call him out on those missteps, but I did expect her to challenge his general premise that there’s a recipe to being an appealing man to a heterosexual woman, which boils down to a tired and harmful evolutionary argument that women want men who can provide (the modern spin is that they should also be kind, how novel!).
I don’t fault her for having him on, but when guests make gross and potentially harmful generalizations, the interviewer’s job is to challenge them.
