What’s up with the constant skipping/audio problems???

Seems like every episode has multiple audio issues. Sometimes, it skips once and goes back 45 seconds. Other times it repeats over and over, skipping all around. What’s going on here?
Otherwise it’s my favorite podcast. The skipping just drives me crazy

Thank you for having Dennis Miller on the show (yeah, I’m late to this pod… sue me). These are some dark times and this podcast offers a bit of light. Thanks to the whole crew.

Love them, longer episodes! More Spade, less Carvey

Love the podcast, it’s kinda a dream host duo. The conversations are so good, the guests are so interesting, that if episodes are an hour long they feel rushed or incomplete. I also think Dana needs to be reeled in, he talks and interrupts people way too much and it gets annoying. I’d like to hear Spade talk more, he’s usually too curt and stepped on by Dana who’s tap dancing all over the place.

Joyful and hilarious

It is difficult to have a bad day when you listen to Dana and David. Clearly these two are comedy icons, but getting to know their personalities is pure joy. Dana’s kindest is on full display and David’s earnestness is unbelievably charming.

David: how did the first 6 figure check compare to the first 7 figure check, we’re you surpised
Dana: how do you balance ego vs feeling inadequate when you’re a millionaire
~sounds sarcastic but I mean it. How did you adjust
~no one will relate to this but I’m curious

You’re both the bomb in a really funny way! Recovering from ECT ( electric shock) one no more. That was awful. Then I found my favorite guys that makes me laugh til I almost would cough. As a second city alumni, this is my go to “story telling podcast” from two guys who lived the dream. David and Dana exude an unexpected bubble bath kindness masked with just enough snarky outbursts to remind us that clever sarcasm is alive and well in our world. In particular, David shows an unexpected vulnerability that resonates, making me even more interested in his journey after SNL. If you want to be in the room where comedy magic is CSI’ed, this is your tribe.

I’m done. I want to hear from the guest, and these guys never stop talking about themselves. There was a point in the recent Fred Armisen episode where Fred had moved onto a different topic and was telling a story (or at least attempting to) and it was obvious that Spade’s reactions were still based on the previous topic. In other words, he wasn’t even listening. Just wrapped up in his own head. At this point 50 episodes in, we’ve heard enough about their experiences at SNL. They’re literally repeating themselves now. Such a bummer, given the wonderful guests they’ve had.

The end-all be-all podcast for SNL JUNKIES. I use to listen to Norm’s pod and all his Netflix shows. That was my holy grail. His episode with GG was perhaps the funniest thing I’ve ever heard.
This is as good or better. And I can’t believe I’m saying that.

Makes me miss the early 90s when I would turn the volume on my tv so low in my room so my parents wouldn’t know I was up late watching SNL. I always got caught because I couldn’t hold in the laughter.
This podcast is great, no arrogance, really down to earth and honest. I love how Dana still jokes around like they are a bunch of nerds on the bleachers eating their lunch and telling jokes that sometimes bomb but keep the room positive and fun. That’s for coming back into my life!

I’ve listened to most of their episodes & enjoyed them, but always becoming more & more annoyed with Dana’s neediness & monopolizing the conversation. But I gave up halfway thru the Chevy Chase episode. David didn’t get a word in & Dana was insanely hyper babbling. Enough. I’m done.

There are a lot of comedy podcasts out there, but if your a fan of SNL then this is CANT MISS. Wonderful guests and two of the most hilarious underrated comedians ever. Their rapport is great and you can tell they really connect with all their guests… minus Chevy. However the Chevy Chase is my favorite episode. It’s very different. Get these two starring in a movie together please!!!!!!

Spade! I met you in Malibu at our favorite Mexican spot. Dude you turned into such a confident interviewer in the last month. You’re steering the ship and I like it.
At first you guys were trying to top each other, now I feel like there’s such a confidence with your interviewing. And you and Dana are so relaxed now and throw in the comedy where it belongs. Really loving this new relaxed rhythm. You guys have got gold here.

David Spade, to me, isn’t the sort of “sneaky” funny like I hear a lot of people describe him as; he’s just underrated and a hilarious dude (and I love his latest special, and frankly anything I see him on… Netflix stuff, et al). And of course I know Dana from SNL, and Wayne’s World, the guy is just genuine, funny, and his impressions are just so good. Keep it up, guys, your podcast is a gentle companion. Cheers

This is by far my favorite podcast out of all the shows and different things I’m into. I could sit and listen to you guys interview all my favorite SNL cast mates all day! As a drummer, the Fred Armison episode has been my absolute favorite. There’s nothing I love more than drumming and SNL, and I have been smiling ever to ear for the last 30m. Thank you guys and rock on! 🤘🏼😝🤘🏼

Great point, Dana!! Ringo is a lefty playing a right hand kit, a lot of the times he leads with his left which gives it the unique Ringo sound. As always, great episode!!
