Description

The one and only “official” Bachelor podcast is here! Rachel Lindsay and Ali Fedotowsky-Manno aren’t strangers to dating on national television and risking it all for love. They’ve seen Bachelor Mansion from both sides as the ones handing out the roses and receiving them. Now, Rachel, the Season 13 Bachelorette, and Ali, Season 6, are sharing their stories and experiences on the one and only official Bachelor podcast.
“Bachelor Happy Hour with Rachel & Ali” takes fans behind the scenes with all things Bachelor Nation-related. Curious about this season? Rachel and Ali will talk to current cast members and hear first-hand about what really happened. They’ve got plenty of inside information about “The Bachelor,” “The Bachelorette,” and “Bachelor in Paradise” that you simply won’t hear anywhere else.
The “Bachelor Happy Hour” hosts will chat with fellow show alumni and producers, dole out relationship advice, and share exclusive material. Rachel and Ali’s “Bachelorette” relationships may have different endings, but these two women share one major similarity: their love of talking about the show.
Welcome to your new home for Bachelor Nation news. Tune in for all the right reasons on July 31 wherever you get your podcasts.

Ok so I only came to listen since I’m a fan of Rachel plus I don’t know much about Ali BUT I like the differing opinions of these two hosts! So far I’m liking it and the guests are exactly who we wanted to hear from. Also I love that Rachel is asking the Qs we all were thinking lol and Ali’s opinions are pretty interesting because it’s insightful to hear a perspective that’s different from how most bachelor fans reacted to certain situations. I do want to add it seems Ali was cutting Jed a little too much slack during his interview; we need the host to say what they really feel even to the face of the guest! So it’s a little off putting bc she seemed harder on him the first episode (when he wasn’t actually there). Anywho..Looking forward to listening to more episodes! Would love to give 5 stars so I hope this podcast has continuity & more awesome guests😁
Side note: maybe have a little game with guests/fun segments you have on some episodes? Just so it’s not always so much of a Q&A most of the show.
***Edit: just finished ep 3 of this podcast and I wish Ali would just chill and be more balanced in the convos. She also talks A LOT and needs to learn to let Rachel speak more (why does Ali always speak first btw?? So weird). Anywho as usual love Rachel’s blunt opinions, Ali is too naive lol

I listen to all the bachelor podcasts and almost rolled my eyes when I saw another one was launching; however, after listening to your in depth podcast with Jed I was impressed with both of your abilities to interview and press him on such tough issues. I also think you make your guests feel comfortable enough to get some actual “tea” like how Hannah feels about Tyler’s active dating life.
While I may not agree with everything you both say (plus you guys are able to agree to disagree which is so refreshing!) I respect both of you so much.

Only giving this 5 stars because of Rachel...

Ali is a blubbering, unintelligent, and intolerable host! I’m also VERY confused as to why she was bending over backwards to essentially excuse Jed’s disgusting actions. She kept saying, “That’s fair, that’s fair” to all of his deplorable choices and actions.
Her follow-up questions are also non-existent, and she did nothing to challenge him to tell the truth. Only Rachel did, so for that reason I wish she was the only one hosting.

Two of the best gals I can think of to do a bachelor nation recap pod. Rachel is a queen 👑 LOVE hearing her cross examine the interviewees! I can tell she’s a killer lawyer 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Hopefully it will get better?

I typically really like Ali, but agree with many of the posters that she has some work to do. First, I didn’t have major issues with the interview with Jed but do think she was too easy on him. She needs to stay away from phrases like. “I know you’re telling the truth.” She doesn’t actually know that, despite what her instincts are telling her. The second episode was more problematic for me. Her constant disagreements with Rachel feel forced and illogical. For example, when Rachel started talking about how icky it was that Caelynn made out with Cam, Ali defensively responded, “Oh come on, everybody does it.” Why? That defense of Caelynn in that moment was just... weird. It feels like Ali is being told to disagree with Rachel which causes Rachel to be a little defensive about her (totally rational) opinions. It’s distracting.

Love Rachel but...

I love rachel- one of my favorites from the franchise. So articulate, intelligent and says whats on her mind. I recently heard her on nick vialls podcast and loved her on it- both of them together were really great. I think they would be a great combo here.
Ali has to go-she can be all over the place and comes across inauthentic. I find her to be incredibly annoying.

We don’t deserve Rachel’s brutal honesty. Seriously though Rachel says all the things that I’m thinking and asks all the questions that I wish I could ask some of these people. Ali needs a little more depth in her interview questions because she really just hits the surface and doesn’t get into any real stuff. This is the best bachelor podcast out there and I’m actually going to listen every week!

Ali said twice about Jed, "I'm sitting across from him and his face is telling me he's being factual." (Or something of that sort.) I can look factual when I'm lying lol. Chemistry is off between hosts.
I also hope they're feeling somewhat regretful of the way they talked about Blake after the texts came out. I am 100% for women empowerment, but also not for putting men down just because you can.

I think you guys are doing a great job. Although, I feel that Rachel can be a bit harsh at times, I think it’s needed especially during interviews. Rachel has a stronger personality and I’m worried that Ali isn’t getting as much air time to input her feelings. You compliment each other well! I’m hoping Ali is able to express herself as often as she would like!
FYI- Someone’s phone keeps vibrating in the background which at times makes it hard to focus on the content. Overall-keep it up both of you!! You are doing fantastic.

I really like Rachel and I think she will be a great podcaster. She is intelligent, well-spoken, and really good at reading people. She also doesn’t seem like she will pander to the guests at the expense of her values and beliefs. However, for this podcast to succeed she NEEDS to ditch Ali for a better counterpart. Maybe a cohost who doesn’t sound like a flighty ditz with zero convictions, or a cohost who doesn’t mess up the name of every poc on the franchise (their names aren’t any more difficult than the white people, Ali!)

Love Rachel’s bluntness and perspectives

Rachel is an great interviewer and asks the right questions. Ali makes it awkward and uncomfortable - she needs journalism 101 and interviewer training. I dont think being a podcast host is a fit in any way for her. She talks over the guests, talks too much, and comes across fake. I’ll listen again when Ali improves or Rachel gets a new co host. For now, I’ll wait until these guests show up on other podcasts to avoid listening to this one.

I think this pairing is weird—Rachel & Ali are not a good match. Different opinions are good, but they are literally opposites so the conversation never really moves past that stalemate. I love Ali but I wish she would step up her questioning a little...her opinions about bachelor nation often make little sense and she doesn’t seem super self aware.

Just another bachelor podcast, doesn’t add anymore value to the podcast community. There are too many bachelor podcasts repeating the same information. Also there is a constant vibration noise coming from someone’s phone sitting on whatever table they are working on.

Rachel is excellent at the questions for interviews and having follow up questions to dig in a bit. Ali is good at more emotional connection with guests. I will say the one complain is Ali comes off very scripted almost like she’s playing a character of radio host. I love her and follow her on Instagram but just the way she talks comes off less authentic. They’re very thorough and get great inside scoop!

Wow, you two are the best and I love the combo of Ali’s motherly compassion and Rachel’s litigious honesty. You all (sorry Ben and Ashley) killing existing podcasts. I’ve been watching the franchise since college, and maybe because I’m a mom and a defense attorney biased, but I’m so excited to listen to you both on my drives to work. I love listening and getting details not aired... but listening to this last interview with Hannah I feel like it was on quick speed. Rachel was talking so fast at times and it seemed like she was rushing and out of breath! Hard to follow and listen to when that’s the case but otherwise the content is great!

Ali was so condescending to say “Rachel the lawyer” in a laughing, eye-rolling manner when Rachel was just speaking facts to Jed... how would she like it if Rachel said “Ali the blogger” when Ali was being so flighty and dumb? Please let Rachel speak, and please get Ali a new job. I lose brain cells listening to her fast-paced rambling 🙄

Solid guests, but Ali and Rachel are a little over the top. They kind of have a cheesy radio host voice on, and I wish it was more natural. I love that Rachel does her research and asks the tough questions. I love Ali and have followed her for years on Instagram, but it feels like she’s trying a little too hard on the podcast and comes off as disingenuous.

I think Ali and Rachel make a good team because of their different opinions. HOWEVER all the “strong women” talk is sickening! Hannah was NOT a strong woman! She climbed on every guy in the room and then bragged about her conquests in the windmill, all the while ripping Jed apart for his mistakes and Ali and Rachel just continued the nonsense. Then they started in on Blake and yet, continued to call Hannah a strong woman!!
A strong woman has self control and self respect! So Rachel and Ali, please stop the women’s lib mess and just entertain us, which is the ONLY purpose of this entire franchise!

First of all - quick comment about the Jed episode.... I really feel like you all handled this interview incredibly well. Like very very very well. I’m shocked by the criticism received, although I think in people’s heart of hearts they really just wanted you all to rip him. Which, to your points just isn’t productive. Us listeners need to be more gracious. Yes YOU if you’re reading this!!!
Although I enjoyed listening, I don’t know if this is a 5-Star podcast just yet (I will change my rating if you all draw me in, which is possible!!!). I would like to see some more of the edge you all have displayed in small quantities on the episodes. What is going to make you different from other bach recap podcasts?? Keep digging. I’ll be listening 🙂.

I have tuned Ali out & just focused on Rachel because Ali doesn’t keep it real. I have to say Rachel saying Tyler saying Tyler was being disrespectful by flaunting Gigi couldn’t have been more false. He didn’t say one word about it. Paparazzi got one pic of him being picked up in the back of Soho house and Gigi was picked up out front. The next night there were zero pics. I know we all love Hannah and want them together but he didn’t get chosen and does live as far away from her as possible. When his heart was broken she was doing interviews saying how happy she was & I’m sure he was so hurt watching. He has been nothing but respectful. People have constantly asked him about Gigi & he gave away nothing. As far as Hannah he just said that they have been through a lot, they would never be able to go back to where they left off and they need to have a drink. I think he has the upmost respect for her & would want to stay friends but I’m sure when he watched back he saw what the rest of us did- that he was not ever #1 in her heart. He hasn’t been able to date for 2 1/2 months. He wishes her perfect success with Jed & she should be wishing him the same. He chose her- she didn’t choose him. Rachel, you weren’t right girl.

I will also join the leagues of people who think Rachel needs a new cohost. I find Ali to be not only pretty bad at this (trying too hard to be the “other” point of view), but I’ve found things she’s done and said both in and outside of this to be uncomfortably apologist to abusive people (who the hell stands up for pathological liars? Ever think some listeners might be in abusive relationships? Why don’t you just feed abuse victims right into the Lion’s mouth, Ali?). She also has made me very uncomfortable with what feel like racial biases against “aggressive” black male contestants on her blog. Honestly, if anyone who matters production wise is reading this, consider looking into this stuff. It matters what you spread over the airwaves.

Surprising!

I came into this podcast thinking it was going to be a watered down version of other bachelor recap podcasts, but I was surprised how honest and real the hosts are. I know some people are complaining about their style of interviewing but I think it’s genius. It’s the good cop bad cop style where Ali butters them up and makes them feel comfortable, and then Rachel hits them with the hard questions! Keep up the good work...can’t wait for more interviews and recaps!

I was concerned this podcast would 'tow the company line' and be overly effasive to all things bachelor nationed related. I'm so relieved its not, at least by Rachel.
Only a few episodes have been released, but I have high hopes for this podcast. I love Rachel's style of interviewing, she doesn't shy away from the hard questions and she's an excellent judge of character and interpersonal motivation & motives.
Ali is nice, but needs some coaching or lessons on interviewing. She immediatly. becomes and apologist for whomever is being interviewed, fills in pauses with meaningless banter (take note from Chris Harrison's interview with Luke P. - let pauses happen, it's not as noticiable as you think and if it is, it's also telling). And more than onice Ali says, "I don't mean to answer for you, but..." and then answers for the interviewee.
Ali needs a crash course in jounalism and interviewing or she should be replaced because this podcast could be a 5 star goldmine. I think having a male comedian would be the perfect duo with Rachel, providing He Said, She Said interpretations in the battle of the sexes.

Adore Rachel’s no holds barred reactions and think she’d be better off leading the show like nick on Viall files. Aly seems to be too saccharine and forced bubbly and says “like” constantly. I liked Aly on her seasons on tv but she’s not my fave in this format.

I know that this podcast hadn’t been around more than a few weeks but it took this week’s podcast for me to say ok I’ll listen again. And I really appreciate Rachel. I’ve always been an Ali fan but I find she’s a bit soft or maybe cautious to ask hard questions. But, i thought Rachel was a bit too much for me, but she’s won me over! She brings the tough questions and asks the question I was just thinking and wanting to ask.
I loved how she kept Jed from just skating through his interview and I loved how she helped Hannah in the interview find words to describe feelings about Tyler after his dates with model. It’s probably a good match up, but I hope Ali keeps her lovable way but also feels inspired to ask the hard questions. I almost didn’t listen to this week’s podcast because I couldn’t stomach all the passes Ali gave Jed. That guy Jed may look sincere but sincerity is a character trait not a shown emotion

Lmk when Rach gets a new cohost, Ali is not only a less perceptive host she also talks over everyone. And Ali - when you’re interviewing someone, don’t over personalize them and put answers in their mouth. Try to be the slightest bit objective, we are listening because we care about what the guests have to say, not to hear your every opinion. Arghhhh so frustrating to listen to!

Ali I love you, been a fan since your bach days.
