Fabulous show! The hosts have a good dynamic and lots of insight into cases. I like how they cover old cases, as well as current ones, plus answer listener questions. The audio sound is perfect, and I’m glad I stumbled onto this show. Def will keep listening.

I am personal friends with Michael Bryson and I was super excited to hear a highlight of his case. I was super disheartened and even angered at the treatment of his case. I had to listen to it in two parts because just hearing his name made me initially cry and I had to take a day to process. I found the 10 or so minutes they discussed to be half hazard and lacking a lot of information that has been shared by the Bryson family in the very public, very easily findable and very large group on Facebook. Evidence such as his clothes being found months later was included in the narrative as if it was soon after he went missing. The evidence surrounding texts of him being drugged non-consensually was also excluded. There are podcasts about his case where the podcaster gathered evidence from both the news as well as parents and the group. This podcast only gathered evidence from the news which is outdated and doesn’t include everything. I also found that the podcasters had little sympathy for the case and was like “oh could be foul play could have disappeared into the woods for 20 years like hikers”. Except for the fact he was from the area, there was an extensive search, drones, heat radar, dogs, SARS and many people who know this area looking.

I am a faithful listener of this podcast and have listened to every episode. I can’t wait until Monday to hear the new one! I’ve been quarantined with my 85 year old father, who has Covid, and I have gone back and listened to all your podcasts again! It has kept me from going stir crazy! Thanks guys! I can’t state how much I recommend this podcast. I enjoy true crime, but the sensationalism so many shows produce can be off putting. Paul and Billy respect the victims, provide the info, and are about closing cases, not just voyeurism. The thing that cemented my love for Jensen and Holes was the socially aware apologies and cases. When they get called out for problematic phrases, they actually change it. When current events require attention, they cover it. They give me hope because they truly care about these victims and finding answers.

I’m a huge true crime fan, I listen to so many throughout every day while I work. I was a little late to the squad, but I had a few straight weeks of total enjoyable bingeing. Now that I’m caught up, I’m always looking in my feed for new episodes. You guys are the classiest podcast, covering the cases in a way that it’s obvious you’re trying to solve them, not just entertain people with others’ misfortune. You both have great voices, and I appreciate when you go off on educational tangents! Thank you for all you do, you are making the world a better place! Ive listened to Jensen and Holes since the Murder Squad first launched. I keep coming back week after week because these two men, their producer Polly and the guest that come to the show treat every episode, every case with deep care. It’s clear they intentionally take steps to capture and honor the personhood of victims and their loved ones. The tenacity of their drive to find answer and bring justice to each case is inspiring. Surely, these cases take a lot out of the team… the heartbreak, the injustice, the frustration of missed opportunities or mis-handled cases…. But they remain steadfast in engaging us - their audiences to responsibly contribute to movement and to solve these cases. Thank you for bringing the voices back to the voiceless. Oh… and it is always pretty thrilling when they return with an update and progress in cases they’ve covered… evidence that sharing cases more broadly…. Can work.

I like the professionalism and the knowledge base. It’s not just another true crime podcast.

It seems like The Murder Squad recognized this in the early days of true crime and sought to meet the need - they’ve done just that. Jensen & Holes do good, necessary work in reporting on these cases and actively working for justice. We are grateful!

I couldn’t have described it before, but *this* is the format and these are the hosts I’ve been looking for. Billy and Paul present the cases with compassion but without any additional drama, preserving the focus on the victims and the details necessary to hunt the suspects, with a decent peppering of forensic and legal education. Ads are short and relevant. The episodes are compelling and memorable. And downright creepy. The Weekly Distraction at the end of each episode is a nice hang, and I LOVE THIS PODCAST!!!! Thank you to everyone involved. 🕊

The entire “Squad” does such a wonderful of showcasing victims’ cases in an unbiased capacity. Billy’s journalism skills, Paul’s expert analysis, Polly’s eagle eye, and Steven’s presence make the podcast bingeable and help victims get a step closer to justice.

You can tell they truly care about the victims and solving the case. They add expertise that few other podcasts can.

Not only do they give you fascinating information on true crime cases. They also bless you with their personalities and my personal favorite “weekly distractions”.

Thank you for bring these cases to light once again. Some I have never heard about . I have lived in New England all my life and never heard about the woman who whereMurdered here. I will continue to listen. And pray that all these cases that you talk about will be solved.

Ok, fine, I’ll leave a review finally since Billy J. and Paul H. (mostly Billy) have asked so nicely. I’ve listened since the beginning and am still here. I love that they’re trying to solve these cases, including a lot about which you likely know very little. The knowledge that these three (I’m including Polly in on this) is impressive and I believe we’re lucky they’re sharing this with us. Highly recommend if you’re a murderino, true crime junkie, macabre weirdo, etc., and/or you may like the challenge of helping to solve some crimes.

Bonus shout out to Steven, we know you’re there too.

Please do not say the actual C word on air. You could easily have just said “C word.” Hearing a man say that can be very triggering for some people, including myself. I had to turn off your podcast after the second time I heard Billy say it.

The episodes make my Monday and I cannot wait to listen every week. It is so refreshing to listen to a true crime podcast where the hosts have actual insight into crime solving rather than speculation. Billy and Paul get right to business and are just great story tellers and investigators. I hope this show never ends.

Just recently started listening to podcasts. Murder Squad caught my eye and now I am hooked. I have read Billy’s book, which I loved and downloaded my DNA and my husband’s to GEDmatch. If you are a true crime lover, this Podcast is for you!

I have been a long time listener and love you both! I recently listened to your latest episode on the Connecticut River Vally Killer and thought you did a wonderful job covering each individual victim. I am from this relatively condensed area in which all of these crimes took place and am a true crime junkie. These cases have always intrigued me. Billy and Paul are incredible at telling these stories! I love the science that Paul can contribute as well as the detective mind. Billy is simply a great podcaster. This is by far in my top list of favorite true crime podcasts. Now we just need the bobble head figures!
