Ryen is the simply the best in the business. I’ll listen to him on any platform. Glad he’s back with a great new podcast.

Full disclosure, I’m a big consumer of everything The Ringer creates. Russillo is a true sports talk guy who seamlessly managed the transition to podcasting and Dual Threat is everything you hoped from him and Simmons.

Ryen gets to swear? Sign me up.

Hasn’t skipped a beat since the transition to podcasts. This show is no different. The world needs more Russillo content. Can’t wait to hear about more drapes!

Good guests first episode. Don’t really care about college football but I like Ryen’s enthusiasm. Will obv be great as it evolves.

Really pumped Rusillo has another outlet for his content. Has great perspective and his podcasts are always super enjoyable.

Many a long day of work has been spent with Ryen (and you too SVP) keeping me entertained and up to date on sports and his life. And I will not go quietly into that good night. I will search every podcast I have to until I get to that cobra backed man.

Great first episode, but could do without some of the offense language. Did not add any value to the podcast.

Enough said in the title. I’ll follow this man to the end of the earth

I have been a fan of each Russillo and Simmons independently of one another for years. Probably my favorite two dudes to listen to. Add in the pardon my take guys and Zack Lowe, and that is my podcast lineup each week. So stoked to get Ryen and Bill together moving forward!

Very glad I get to hear Ryan weekly again. I was pretty bummed with his departure from ESPN. The Ringer is an amazing landing spot. I love the back and forth between Bill and Ryen.

I enjoyed the first show with Bill and Todd McShay. Great stuff as always from Ryen Russillo. One of my favorites because he actually thinks about what he says and doesn't just go for the hot take. I was not a fan of Will Cain, so I'm glad he went this podcast route. It gives us better content. Please have Danny Kannell on the show though, I was a fan of your partnership.

BUT if you want to know what it’s like to be the most sought after celebrity by 18-30 year-old sports fan bros, how to negotiate for drapes, when to listen to Mastodon, AND how to sell questionable insurance... then hit up your boy. Best there is.

I Have been a Bill Simmons before I even knew what the internet was. I’d sign on AOL each day and see if he had a new column up and if he didn’t I’d sign off. When Bill started at ESPN he would talk about being one of the only 10-15 die hard NBA fans in the world and that was something I could relate to. Followed him to Grantland where I discovered more great writers, but the Ringer has been a huge disappointment so far. I would love to know who their target audience has been. Are there people who want to read about basketball from the guy who got his job cause he read GOT 20x (network) or the girl who does the Bachelor pod (Juliet)? I’ve heard the Ringer described as a sports website for the people always picked last in gym (KOC and Shea) or for people who just started watching B-ball (Haley) and I think that nails it. I find it hard to believe that Bill would have read or listened to any of these people when he was in his 20’s. Ryen changes all that. Ryen (like Bill) is someone who just flat out knows more about the sports he covers than his readers. On a recent podcast Bryan Curtis talked to Bill about how he only watches ESPN when there’s someone who actually knows things on the screen. I had never agreed more with anything I’ve heard on a podcast. When it comes to sports ( and life to a smaller degree) Ryen knows things.

Mr. Versatile should be his new name. NFL, NBA, NCAA- it doesn’t matter, he does it all. He’ll steal your girl and teach you proper lifting techniques, all while spitting straight fire through the mic.

A middle age sports commentator/radio host has a midlife crisis, moves to the west coast, lifts weights, and try’s to become a screen write.

Ryen is the best mind is sports media. I consume everything he does and can’t wait for this podcast to come out. It will be a must listen.
