I am quickly becoming OBSESSED with this podcast! I've been intermittent fasting for awhile, and, despite how awesome it's been for my health and weight loss, often feel a bit weird and alone in my choice. I'm so happy to know there are others like me out there! As a girl in my twenties, I particularly relate to Melanie, and love her style, thoughts, and approach. I find her SO relatable. Love Gin, but Melanie PLEASE stop giggling and interjecting. I know if feels weird to just be silent as someone else talks. But TRUST ME, as a listener it is not enjoyable to hear the giggle and "uhh huhhh" every 5 seconds as Gin talks.
I want to keep listening, but can't do it much longer as it is. Melanie, it might be helpful to listen back to yourself objectively. 😬

I am sure these ladies have a lot of information but it is so hard to listen to them. I constantly have to adjust my volume because they would be far away from the microphone then right in it the next second. That alone made it hard to listen. I feel like these speakers didn't take a public speaking class because they sounded only minimally organized. Instead of backing up their statements with specific studies they found and cited where they came from they backed it up with "studies show." One of the women was just using the word "literally" too much and "um" and "like." And she kept pausing and stopping the flow of the conversation. I know intermittent fasting can be a life style and serious but these women sound like they're sitting and talking at their kitchen table over coffee about how a fad diet changed their lives. It was like one of the women from the view hopped into my phone and started gossiping about this diet. I couldn't take it seriously and couldn't follow long enough to make it through the second episode. I tried to give them another chance but just had to turn off the podcast and unsubscribe. Maybe I'll give it another chance later but I'm sure I'll find another podcast to serves me better before I do.

I really like your podcast but I feel like you should have eased into the Podcast and had a few episodes covering basics for a while before for jumping using too many specific technical terms about different diets, products, micronutrients and etc. and I just find myself not listening after a while. To me, that is assuming folks are on your Facebook or know a lot about IF already.
If you can talk about these things using layman's terms that would be preferable.
Also, one of you sounds so hesitant at every move instead of going forward with confidence and conviction in responding and talking. I realize different people have different personalities and some are more shy while others are more gregarious but… a podcaster should be more confident.
Anyway, there's my two cents for what it's worth (maybe only two cents). I really do I like both of you and I think you're great, and I was so happy to find this podcast.

This is a really good podcast, whether you are interested in intermittent fasting for weight loss or just for good health in general. Melanie and Gin are really well informed about the topic and it's obvious that they keep up with current research. What I love is that the show is friendly and engaging, while also being well grounded in the science of fasting. Melanie and Gin offer their own stories and interesting anecdotes which really make the discussions fun and interesting, but they also always draw on science and current research. That blend makes the show fun AND also highly credible (which is really important when it comes to your health). Gins book is the same way and introduced me to the IF lifestyle. I'm about three weeks in and looking forward to long term results for health and weight loss. I'm only down a couple pounds so far but I've been strength training so there is probably some body composition changing with muscle gain. Keep the podcasts comin! I listen while getting ready for work and it preps me for a clean fast for the day until dinner time when I open my window.

I really enjoyed listening to Melanie and Gin. I felt that there was a really good chemistry between them. They have different life paths from which they can offer their perspectives regarding intermittent fasting. Melanie's What When Wine book and Gin's Delay, Don't Deny books complement each other well. It's nice to read these ladies books and then have an opportunity to hear them actually speaking about the material they've written as it relates to their real life experiences. I highly recommend these podcasts - they are very informative and I am looking forward to listening to each of them in the coming weeks.

It's wonderful to hear from other women who have gone through very similar (and tumultuous) weight loss journeys, but have been able to reach the "other side." I have been striving for years to find the seemingly mythical point of food peace and maintenance without the stress of rebounding, and I feel in my gut that this is going to be what gets me there, FINALLY. I really enjoyed the first podcast! Congratualtions to both of you. It was really cool to hear Gin's voice after being on groups for a while now. I like the idea of someone my age and someone younger being on together and giving perspectivves from their point of view. It does make a difference to be able to connect that way. I look forward to more podcasts in the future.
One small suggestion for Melanie, you were great, but drop the word "like". It seems to distract from your message. I know its hard I used to speak the same way. But other than that fantastic.
