Thank you for showing up and showing out!! I’ve listened to ALL of the old and new episodes. This is hands down my favorite pod and every episode is my favorite episode. And just like you two say almost every time each segment is also my favorite. I get learnd and inspired with every listen. Hopefully one day I’ll get to connect with you ladies. Thank you for the work you do. Asé
I absolutely adore this podcast. It is so refreshing to find content that focuses on topics related to the black queer community and experience. Your personalities are infectious thank you so much for all you do!
I’m sooo happy I found this show on Apple podcast! I am in California where gay woman of color is hard to come by so getting off of work putting in my AirPods and listening to these two have kept me laughing and staying intellectually on tack. Speaking let me tell you how milky my world is the first time I ever EVER HEARD of The Watermelon Woman! I struggled with finding movies, books, and shows that can pertain to my life or experience! Don’t we all and thanks to y’all s show I am on a movie binge and book reading binge on all the recommendations so please keep them coming for a dark girl lesbian in a milk world
Being at home has meant I can go back to the last QueerWOC episode I listened to (back in October!), but I couldn’t resist first starting with the latest episode and I’m so glad it did! Dr. Money, DR. MONEY, it is a joy to hear you and your joy after celebrating the end of your journey. Congratulations and biggest thank you for bringing us together, it’s been especially helpful during these times.
First let me start off by saying congratulations to Money on receiving her PhD! 🍾🎉It’s been such a joy listening to all of the hard work you put into it & hearing the enthusiasm you have for your field. And many thanks to you both for the dedication you place in the topics discussed & for keeping the show going. When I listen to y’all at work, I’m amazed at how quickly an hour can go by!
Side note: I wonder am I the one who put Cary, NC on the map?! 🤔
Well I guess since I left a review, I should follow y’all on IG now.
I started listening to y’all because they always talk about your podcast on Marsha’s Plate! I have to say, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every episode I’ve listened to of QueerWOC. I started from episode one a couple months ago but today I skipped ahead to hear your thoughts about all this coronavirus stuff. Listening to your podcast makes me feel like I have 2 new dope friends in Syracuse that are woke, educated, entertaining, and really inclusive of making sure transgender people are a part of the conversation too. My favorite segment is the mental moment with money because I always come out of it learning something completely new about myself and I definitely appreciate the quick and easy help with managing my anxieties! Thank you for making this podcast!! - Alex
Let me tell y’all something... I listen to this podcast every•single•day. Shout out to my fellow up state NY qwocs building community. I feel so seen, inspired and less isolated because of the community Money and Nikeeta continue to build and nurture.
I could go on and on about how much I cherish this progr’m (yes, progr’m) but for the sake of brevity all I will say is subscribe, support and share. You are guaranteed to laugh, learn, and heal with each episode.
I can’t believe I haven’t found you before now! I’m in my last year of undergrad and Money’s mental health moments are gonna be really helpful so thank you! Good luck finishing your dissertation btw you got this. I love history and I live for the word and it makes me feel validated in my nerdiness. Thank y’all so much for everything 💜 I think maybe the intersection of environmental justice and the movement for black lives could be a cool topic.
I’m really loving the podcast and the insight. I love how the two of you have varying views and spat that unapologetically and it flows. Definitely here to learn, laugh, and connect. 🤗
all the thank you’s from a Black queer therapist in training ✨💖 y’all are so appreciated and adored! I love starting off my day listening to y’all before going into sessions 🥰
Love Queer WOC and the whole BBB!
I appreciate QueerWoc so much for all the work, fun, Self care and Foley & jingles! I have been listening for at least 3 years 🤔(?) but I just recently became an apple user, and had to do my due diligence.
I love the back & forth between the coHost and the jingles Nikeeta comes up with for the “Mental Moment with Money”. Money’s voice is so bubbly and infectious, and as a listener I feel the frustrations of being in a city that lacks color and queer community and dating wins for the most part. I appreciated ALL of the work y’all do frans! Nikeeta activism and stewardship is the whole truth and No👏🏾thing 👏🏾 Less...
Thank You Both!
Love this podcast fun, relatable and connective! Really needed more of this true vulnerability and all these necessary conversations!
Thank you for existing and putting love into this podcast. A Zimbabwean queerpoc living in the US loves and supports you.
I came across this podcast in my last year of undergrad and have listened to it at multiple times a week sense. The Mental moment with money has inspired me to think more about being a therapist(it’s hard out here tryin’ to find Black Queer Therapists🙄) and go back to therapy.
During the word Nikeeta has broken down justice oriented topics in ways that have helped me in work, class, and just about everywhere else.
Listening to the show reminds me that Black Communism/leftist analysis is not new. Especially among Queer Black women it’s a liberatory tradition that I’m happy to be a part of
Love this Podcast and the joy you two bring to the conversations you have 💕
One of the most welcoming and informative podcasts out there. These two are true friends and it’s great to listen to their dynamic. They’re building community one episode at a time.
No podcast like this one m & n are just a dynamic pair of hosts. You get a bit of everything... black history, black queer history, psychology... I live and Stan for this podcast. I actually found it through aliljuju so I’m so happy she lead me to you Guys
I discovered QueerWOC podcast last month. Not only have I listened and caught up on every episode, I am now re-listening to old episodes. Thank you Money and Nikeeta, for simply being. This podcast has been so reaffirming and necessary to life.
Nikeeta’s educational lectures (lectures not a bad word) are everything. Pay these women.
I am a Black Trans phd student and this podcast helped heal me. It helped close the gap of talk theory and everyday survival— it brought me to true thriving. THANK YOU for your unapologetic slay.
Yours in community,

I love this podcast. I love the camaraderie between Money & Nikeeta. I love the love and respect they have for each other. I love the respect they have for their listeners and fellow members of the Baddie Brigade™️. I appreciate this show so much because I didn’t know how much I wanted, and needed, two bold, live-out-loud Black lesbian women as possibility role models for me; showing me how to stand and walk and live in my truth. Money’s Mental Moment really highlights her deep understanding of how tough it is for womxn who look like her in this current political and social climate. If you can, getchu a therapist that looks like you. It matters. Nikeeta’s Word always, always, ALWAYS teaches me something. It challenges me; it helps me grow in my understanding of how much work really needs to be done regarding Black and Queer liberation and true freedom. I cannot thank you both enough. I love this show and I’m so glad y’all do what y’all do. Thank you! 😩😭😍🥰
I gotta come and give the 5 stars and review when a podcast is regularly so good I just stop and listen, ENRAPT. I even need to stop myself between segments sometimes cause y’all send me out with so much to think about. Love y’all!
In May of 2018, I was in a car accident and since then have been dealing with PTSD related to driving. To help my calm my nerves on mid-distance trips, I listen to QueerWOC and it has been such a huge help. Nikeeta and Money both have amazing and contagious personalities the permeate through the speakers and that has a way of making you feel like their right in the room, or in this instance, the car with you. I’ve learned so much from them since I started listening back in March 2018 and I highly recommend to everybody and they mama.
shout out from salt lake city, utah! (yes we here, lol) loving this podcast! from a cis het black male the mental moment and worker wordsmith are 🔥🔥🔥✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Money's Mental Moments are so very helpful, Nikkita's analyses are genius, and I love their friendship chemistry!
Nakeeta and Money, thank you both for representing the black and poc queer communities so well. This podcast was recommended to me by a homie in Oakland. I live in Long Beach so rest assure you have many west coast listeners. As one of the only very visible queer Black professors on my campus, all of the queer and students of color come to me with their issues. I have utilized some of Money’s mental health activities to help them in their journey of self discovery and to combat all of the racism and homophobia they experience on campus. I’ve also utilized some of them for myself. 😒 Nakeeta I’ve learned so much from your segment that I’ve utilized them in class discussions. I also learned a lot from the earlier podcasts on socialism and workers rights. I appreciate your “receipts” since I recognized white supremacy tries to discredit folks when you don’t have them. I know this is getting long so I’ll say one more thing. The thing I most appreciate about you two is your laugher. If I’m having a rough day/week, your podcast truly transforms my spirit. Please keep doing what you’re doing! #qwoc #blackintellects #fuckwhitesupremacyprivilegeandfragility
I love listening to this progrum! I’m a new listener and I can’t get enough. The “Mental Moments with Money” are so powerful, beneficial, and uplifting! And Neekita with the WORD is just the perfect social justice contribution to the world, she brings history, facts, and has a heart for social change. Their chemistry is perfect and I always learn something new. You need these queerwoc baddies in your life!
Ep 59 gave me life after a tough week! I LOVED every segment. I still need to catch up on older episodes but I’m on it! It’s so refreshing to listen to a podcast with queer WOC! I forgot how much energy I use hanging or working with non queer woc. I enjoy the fact that when they laugh, I’m belly laughing with them! It can be annoying with other podcasts that just laugh at inside jokes or things happening in person.
I love you girls! Funny, Intellectual, Real and Queer! Yesss!!!
Hi y’all! I’m a queer Latina from Los Angeles! I wanted to let Nikita know that her weekly contributions are the smartest things I’ve ever heard. You know how people say that if you read the newspaper everyday for a year you’ll have a high school education? I feel like if you listen to Qwoc every day for a year you’ll have the basis for a very healthy and active and generative queer life. Also, Money’s Mental Moments are like an integral part of my mental health journey. All in all, thanks for all your work and light and joy!
I found this podcast on a whim because I was currently bored with the podcasts I was listening to and I am SOO thankful I found this one! It’s so important to listen to the voices of people like you (black, queer) and that’s why this podcast is so incredibly important for the community. I also think it’s important to listen to voices and experiences different than yours. So even if you aren’t black or queer, but are wanting to do your part, I encourage you to not only listen and learn from our voices but also by supporting us (this podcast).
I can’t believe I never left my review! I thought I did already. I LOVE you both + love this podcast. What a well-rounded, fun, supportive, affirming podcast, I look forward to every episode! Your interaction gives me life + my black, Queer, psychology loving self loves all the mental wellness talk + a socialist highlights too! Thank you thank you friends!! <3
I tune in every episode to get my entire life! Queer WOC pod gets me together every episode with a good cackle and gems for mental health. And that intro song!! Whew chillay! A vibe. Love this podcast.
From history to politics, mental health to romance these baddies produce an amazing and educational show every d*mn time!
I literally just had to stop this podcast to share it, then come here to give you your 5 stars and write a review. This is my first time taking the time to review any of the many podcasts I listen to. I always say I will come back later and never do. But, after listening to Money’s Mental Moment on the 7 stages of wellness, I knew I needed to take the time right now. So I’m writing this as my kids are throwing tantrums in the car, lol.
This is one of the most well rounded and thought through podcasts I listen to. You truly cover all areas. I feel like the information provided here is useful without that added layer of having decolonize anything. As a parent, I find it hard to introduce my children to new concepts because most ideas come with so many layers.
Thank you Money and Nikeeta!
This podcast is in my body! Recently I was spitting truth to some white folks and I felt so empowered particularly from the conversations you two have.
Thank you so much for providing language for so many of the things I think about and experience! Thanks for empowering me!!!
I really enjoy how you two show the world and all of your listeners unapologetic intelligence, Queerness, professionalism and dash of crazy. I’ve learned things from you both. You’ve allowed me to ponder on things I know and given me talking points in my relationship and with friends. This Podcast and few like it have blessed my ears with what I’ve wanted in living my truth and that is being able to connect although virtually with those like me, a queer woman of color. You both are doing fantastic please keep it coming.
I eagerly await new episode every two weeks. I don’t even know where to begin with the black queer wealth and joy these two offer. The mental moment is revolutionary community work. Money shares her black feminist therapist gifts with us for the free! Get into the digital Underground Railroad mental health because she’s making it accessible and relevant and popping! And the womanist warrior worker, Nikeeta, helps us demystify jargon. Her analysis is always so illuminating. Her passion really shines. Every episode is litty. Come get your life.
Real talk/real wisdom/real Inspiration! And the interview with Alexis Pauline Gumbs is EVERYTHING!
A great listen. Keep it up!
So I started listening to this podcast about 3 weeks ago and have been binging ever since! When I tell you it quickly became my favorite podcast I am not lying! The chemistry they have as best friends is so enjoyable to listen to. I love to hear Nikeeta’s perspective on things and Money’s mental moments have legit made huge impacts on my life. You ladies are doing an amazing job and I appreciate you for taking time out of your day to make this safe space for us.
I just started listening to this podcast and it is amazing I’m a young black girl and loving seeing black queer women thrive.
Hey Money & Nikeeta!
I cannot express how much I love listening to y’all. The energy between you and the conversations you have uplift, crack me up and warms my heart, a much needed balm. I am a queer woman who, although well older than you both, learns from and appreciates you—from Money’s Mental Moments to Nikeeta’s freestyling. Radical badasses! Also, I shimmy my shoulders and sing your intro song every single time! LOL Keep it up! ❤️
I love this podcast. I found it a year ago and have been in love ever since. It has got me through tough times and helped me to unpack my own biases. It has also opened my eyes to the struggles the LGBTQ folk go through around the world. As two black, queer, feminist, you two inspire me to be better and push for more knowledge. Money is hilarious Nikeeta is very much about that organizing life. Hope to hear more from you guys!
I absolutely love y'all's podcast. I'm a Black queer woman, so it is so refreshing to have a podcast to listen to with such on point and relatable content. As a social worker in training and someone who struggles with my own mental health issues, I really find the mental moments with Money, as well as Nikeeta's discussions on politics and theory, super helpful and informative. And y'all are hilarious. Keep up the awesome work.
I went searching for you 10 years ago! Where the hell were ya!!? QueerWOC’s were no where to be found among the pods. But today you two are shining bright among the pod stars. You are so very real, breaking down herstory and his oppression, having it flowing from your lips in a geyser gush of girliteration! I’m gleefully giggling glistening to you!! Don’t ever stop!
Love this podcast! Two dope radical black queer women hosting a podcast?! Please sign me up! Y'all are brilliant thank you for creating this space for us.
Y'all...this podcast makes me so happy. It really feels like kickin it with your brilliant Black friends and chosen family. The chemistry between the hosts is amazing. I learn a ton and laugh so much doing it. If you're on the fence about starting a new podcast, I promise this one is worth the leap of faith.
