I’ve been a WWDTM listener for decades. Trying to stay one. Harder and harder with the introduction of a terrible spin-off (Everyone blah blah blah) and the attempt to monetize WWDTM. Have you guys actually stopped caring about your listeners?

I have loved WWDTM for years, and I will always a listen. But I must tell you, the “Everyone” episodes aren’t great. And I also dislike the shows that are re-runs of NMJ. Its a podcast. You can’t do re-runs on a podcast. Otherwise, keep up the good work.

I love the show, I have for years. I listen exclusively to the podcast. I don’t want all the “bonus” material cluttering up my stream. I don’t need the new show. I don’t want the bonus discussions. I just want the Wait-Wait podcast. Please return us to sanity.

This show makes me happy even when the subjects in the news are upsetting. Everyone is entertaining but Maeve Higgins is my queen! Can’t get enough of her. Had the pleasure of meeting Peter after a show and he was personable and kind. Thank you all for producing a show I look forward to every weekend.

Does anyone really like this show? It’s been running for ages and anytime I’ve ever had the displeasure of tuning it’s got the worst dad jokes and the dumbest trivia. If anyone find this funny or entertaining I’d be truly amazed because it’s pure torture to listen to.
I look forward to this every week!

Other than that. I love Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me.

Wait wait is always a funny show, a nice twist on the news, and it’s fun to talk to people in different professions and interview them with a funny twist. I genuinely enjoy it. I listen to them all!
Emma cho is not funny. I think she does try, but it’s just not entertaining. She makes jokes but they simply are not funny, and her interviews are dominated by her bad jokes. She’s clearly a hard person to work of off, and even if the interviewee is funny, its hard to listen to. I think the cast seems to like her, but she’s alienating the casts fans. I suggest getting rid of her podcast and her making less appearances on bonus episodes.

For every episode hosted by Emma Choi I’m reporting it to Apple before deleting the episode. I subscribed to Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me, which is supposed to make me laugh, not annoy me. Right now hoping that Maeve Higgins is one of the panelists is the only thing keeping me subscribed. Now there are episodes I can’t listen to without paying or mark as played without playing also clogging the feed. Way to ruin a good thing!

Wait Wait (the hour weekly show) is great:
solid 5 stars
They started adding 4 or 5 of these lame filler shows to the podcast; they all not good:
1 star
5 filler shows x 1 star = 5 (shows)(star)
Wait Wait show x 5 stars = 5 (shows)(star)
Podcast show rating Average:
10 (shows)(star) / 6 (shows) = 1.67 stars
Wait Wait: Why ruin Wait Wait podcast rating with these low quality shows?

I’ve listened to WWDTM for over two decades, first on the radio and now the podcast. Its a great show and delivers exactly what it promises— news with a twist. It’s really aggravating to have a second show in the same feed. Everyone and . . . is deserving of its own feed. When I’m driving and in the mood for some Peter and crew, then another E& comes on, I have to pull over to get my player back in the show I want. Please, please, please separate them.
Love the weekly show, but please stop the Emma content.

Love the show- been listening for years. Only gave 4 stars because of the forced Emma content. Unfortunately I can’t put the podcast on “play next episode” anymore because of the Emma-led content that is on there. She might be a fantastic behind the scenes producer but she is not a good interviewer or entertainer.

Once the shows came back in person, they are in the Studebaker Theater mainly (I think) and I have a lot of trouble hearing it well now. It’s very echoey! I figured the folks at WWDTM would get that worked out but it isn’t improving. I’m confused why a primarily audio format wouldn’t be prioritizing this first thing. No trying to sound harsh but please consider this issue.

I have been listening to wait wait for over a decade now and I absolutely hate this new everyone & show. Please make it a separate listing. It’s a whole other show it isn’t the same vibe and frankly it isn’t of the same quality. I know you are just trying to bootstrap the audience but you all have fallen out of my recommendations and I ponder how many other people have stop recommending the show. I will update my review once everyone & stops being apart of this listing

Updated review: Downgrading from 3 stars (see below) to 1 star and unsubscribing. I can easily download WWDTM manually every Saturday. If everyone who hates EATM will do this, maybe they’ll FINALLY spin it off or kill it. A completely different podcast shouldn’t be in another podcast’s feed!!!!
Original review: Saturday Wait Wait: 5 stars. Wednesday Everyone & Their Mom: 1 star. I averaged the two for my rating. Please spin off Everyone & so I don’t have to delete it every week. I listened to the first 2 episodes and decided I’d give it one more shot at becoming funny and interesting, but episode 3 is boring, too. You’re going to lose current subscribers and cause potential new ones who sample the Wednesday show first to not subscribe if you don’t get this off of your feed!

Update: Stopped listening after decades, largely because of the extra podcast that intrudes in the feed. Along with news fatigue, the Everyone pod coming up automatically finally broke me. Too many Twitter references on the show, too—the self-referential pugnacity and sentimentalism of Twitter is not what I’m looking for from this show. Love Paula, Maeve, and so many others, but I just can’t anymore.
I’ve loved WWDTM since back when almost everyone on it was a straight white man (and love how it has gotten even better with a modern and diverse cast, including diverse ages!). Baffled and irritated by having the extra podcast forced on us. Even if the content was my taste, it breaks the whole point of subscribing and setting up your feed if you get an unwanted podcast forced on you. You pulled a U2 and are getting the same reaction. Please do like Bono and stop forcing a digital product no one asked for onto our phones.

Please please please just give Emma a separate feed. I cannot STAND “Everyone and . . .” to the point that I’ve been put off of listening to WWDTM altogether. It’s great that NPR gave her the chance to break out into something new but enough is enough. Loads of people start podcasts in their closets and have success without the backing of NPR. I’m sure she’ll be fine. Please stop forcing it into my feed. I’ve have loved WWDTM for years and it breaks my heart to have become so turned off.
UPDATE: unfollowed.

I’ve enjoyed WWDTM for years but I’m sick of skipping the Everyone and Their Mom episodes so I’m unsubscribing until it’s separated into its own podcast. I don’t know why they grouped these together. It’s been long enough. If there is an audience for EandTM, it will do fine as a stand alone. 5 stars for WWDTM but -4 stars for the hassle of skipping every other episode.

I have listened to Wait Wait for over a decade and enjoyed it. However, I can not stand the “Everyone and… “shows with Emma that have been forced on us when downloading what we expect to be episodes of ”Wait, Wait”. Not the same audience for these two shows and I feel it’s bait and switch to get the Emma show when you really want the quiz show. Tired of having to delete these episodes, especially when in the car. So I am unsubscribing until they get rid of Emma.

Maeve Higgins is consistently the worst panelist on the show. Not funny or smart, just plain stupid. Please find anyone else to have on the show other than her. I’d rather listen to Trump rant about the Big Lie on Tucker Carlson than listen to this untalented hack try to be quirky and cute. She fails at everything she does, just look at her career. Please NPR, stop using this woman and find literally anyone else. Other than that, one of my favorite podcasts!!

I’ve had to download a new podcast app so I could create playlists that skipped Everyone episodes.
I’m sure that many people enjoy her, but the episodes are completely different than a live game show like Wait Wait, and it’s not what I was hoping for when I first followed this show.
Please just move this new podcast to a different feed! I miss my old Wait Wait, and you’ve made my feed involve a lot of manual work and skipping around in order to listen, instead of binging 3-4 episodes at a time.

Amazing show! Carl Kasell and Peter Sagal are a humorous team that take the week's news point out the irony, discontinuity, or radicalness. The panel adds comedy to the mix, and together, they are the best way to enjoy the week's events. In my opinion, the Paula Poundstone episodes are the best.
