This has been so refreshing to hear peopl with the courage to encourage investing in the stock market. Most podcasts out there only cover bonds, ETF's and mutual funds. You don't have to be a genius or professional financier to invest in the stock market. You do need to educate yourself. Andrew and Dave promote dividend stocks in large companies with proven track records, that often profit through recessions. Andrews freee eBook is a great free resource. Thanks for getting me started!

If you are a new investor PLEASE do not listen to this. The creators of this podcast sell a newsletter touting that they know how to "beat the market" via stock picking. Listen, if you are a new investor, do a little research on the stock market. It is a CLOSED system - there are winners who get lucky and occasionally beat the market for a defined period of time HOWEVER by law there has to be LOSERS on the other side who lose to the market by the exact same amount. If instead you simply own the entire market then you are guaranteed to get the average return, not beat it or lose to it, which is the best that any novice investor who isn't running a hedge fund can do. Please do not waste your money on Andrews newsletter or any like it. Andrew seems like a nice guy, I enjoyed his former show "money tree investing" which honestly is a much better podcast, but he's clearly in his 20s, has hardly any real life experience, and is selling a scam to unsuspecting investors. I cannot stomach his episode criticizing John Bogle and burton malkiel on the efficient market hypothesis. Clearly he does not know what he's talking about or he knows and just doesn't care. He is in it to make a buck off of YOU via selling his newsletter. John Bogle and Malkiel are actually experts in the field, if you want to learn about investing read their books before listening to this podcast. Please.
Andrew - I honestly enjoyed your presence on money tree investing, I too tilt towards value. But you and I both know that you are selling spam to unknowing investors. You aren't making money by "beating the market" you are making money by selling a newsletter. As a boglehead and fellow value investor, please face this fact and come back from the dark side!! I subscribed to your podcast bc I was hoping to hear more about the philosophy of value investing and index investing. But hearing ton criticize financial prophets like Bogle and malkiel is so disheartening.

I want to listen to this podcast; however, only one of the people on it can be understood. I assume that two of them are calling in. Unfortunately, in the first 8 minutes, the person giving advice is one of the ones that sounds like he is talking 1970s drive through speaker. I can't understand what he is saying. Maybe this gets better in later episodes, but, by then, I will have missed, what I assume, is important information.
