The only thing getting me through this presidency.

I recommend this podcast for anyone who would like to "meet" some of the hardworking professionals who gave served our country at home and around the world. Host Tommy asks insightful questions and brings out the best in his guests. I'd like to see him expand beyond former Obama era folks once in awhile for added perspective.

This is a great podcast. I listen to it after I have listened to Pod save America, and Lovett or Leave it - but I always listen because it's always great!!!

Listen to the episode with Susan Rice. Absolutely fascinating.

I love Pod Save America, so I expected to enjoy Pod Save the World. What I did not expect was how much I look forward to this every week. I've learned so much about foreign policy since I started listening and I appreciate the level of detail and thoughtfulness so much.

Incredible Podcast about foreign affairs...and yet still interesting. The interviews have depth into a subject matter with the people that have worked in the various fields / gov't agencies / countries adds to its authenticity. Tommy Victor gives context and background for listeners that are less informed helping making sense of the interviewers information. And for anyone who is concerned about a "liberal echo chamber" - listen to Tommy's interview of Glen Greenwald 3/15/17.

Every week Tommy says "you're geeking out with me" and yes it's a geeky podcast about comparatively obscure foreign policy. But it's presented accessibly and sympathetically. An easy, informative listen that refreshes my week.

Don't be fooled by the 3000 5 star reviews written before the podcast started.

Now, 5 months in, I can say that this pod cast is pretty good. The guests sometimes share interesting insider tidbits but, more often than not, fall back to "on brand messaging" rather than give their actual opinions on hard questions.

You also get the sense that many of the real 30+ year career government officials don't respect Tommy and his "I spent 4 years as a junior WH staffer before quitting so we're basically equals" attitude.

Just checked out this podcast and I have been binge listening! Tommy leads the interviews in a thoughtful way and most importantly, he has articulate, informative and rational guests who really know their "stuff."

Really appreciate the foreign policy 101 aspect. The host breaks down each issue and explains it in a way that makes it interesting and accessible. Really broadens my understanding of the world.

Refreshing hearing the perspective of actual experts from the former administration on very important current issues

NOt meant as a slight to PSA, but Pod Save the World is like the adults have entered the room. I love Pod Save America but World takes it to another level in terms of being informative,n instructive and enlightening. Tommy's guests are brilliant, many of them career government. I have learned so much about geopolitics, history and America's role on the world stage.

This is quickly becoming my favorite Pod. Information broken down for you by people who know what they are talking about. Great guests and topics!

Been listening to Jon, Jon, Tommy and Dan since the Keeping it 1600 days! As a moderate conservative (socially liberal) evangelical B.T. (Before Trump) these guys have helped shift my views to moderately liberal all around. Love the way y'all break down Politics and add humor to serious topics! Keep it up!!!

Love the way Tommy unpacks relevant policy issues through the lens of the previous administration (obviously this is where his connections are), but nonetheless this transitions understanding of past and current norms and policy (or lack thereof).

This pod really helps understand foreign policy, but moreover, considering the insanity of the current administration, makes me feel like there actually are some serious people out there fighting the good fight.

Each episode is a great deep dive into a relevant topic. Provide context for today's issues and provides smart commentary in an accessible and interesting format.

I always feel so well informed when I listen! A great podcast.

Of the four podcasts in Crooked Media's roster, this one is actually the most thought through, considered, and informative.

Tommy gets great guests, asks good questions, and lets the guest fill in the details without jumping in/interrupting. I feel like this podcast has a vibe close to the Axe Files, but for foreign policy/matters.

Give this podcast a shot, it'll might help prevent the "who know it was complicated" snafu. To that end, any chance of an episode on foreign policy/history about India-US-Pakistan policy?

If only the current administration listened maybe they'd see how foreign policy actually works.

Have just finished a marathon listening session of Tommy V's Pod Save America. All of the episodes were fascinating and enriching. Vietor is an excellent moderator and the guests have all been sharp, smart, knowledgable. I truly enjoy learning about these critical aspects of government. I only wish someone in the Trump Administration had the same curiosity :-{

Tommy Vietor interviews experts on international affairs - many of whom were in the Obama administration, all of whom are respected experts in their subject areas. And I like that Tommy asks how we - the listeners - can step in to help, such as with the humanitarian crisis in Sudan, or even telling our lawmakers how important diplomacy and international aid are for the safety and defense of our country. Well done!

Very good and insightful discussions of foreign policy. Comes with a clear point of view going in and is transparent about it, but the discussions themselves are substantive and informative. Would like to see more discussions like the Greenwald one where there is more divergence of opinion that stays both civil and interesting.

Interesting interview with Ambassador McFaul, but the host's sexism is grating. McFaul subtlety calls him out for it at one point during interview. The host is probably unaware, but he gives the impression that he views the world, at least the world of international relations, as entirely male.

If you're one who thinks there was just rainbows and unicorns in the Obama era, this podcast is for you, the same way some Reagan's lovers watch fox news. Uncritical, partial, sometimes just outright misguided on their facts. Claimed that NYT/Guardian "legitimized" Wikileaks, no discussion on the value or public interest in the cables. Claimed snowed has chosen Russia, while in fact he found himself stranded there.

We live in a post fact world, apparently, and this is another contribution the bubble for the left. It's part of the problem, while it could have been part of the solution.

In a time and place when we are seemingly turning inward as a nation, this podcast refreshingly looks outward toward the world. Foreign policy is made accessible to all by Tommy and his highly intelligent, albeit largely unknown, guests. The podcast shines a light on the quality of human beings Obama was working with while President and provides an entertaining, educational, and insightful look at the inner workings of our government at the highest level, performing one of its most critical roles.

Terrible. I was looking for a unbiased, more centered discussion. This podcast is so left wing and biased so unless you want to hear more left wing propaganda then this is not for you. Btw I'm not looking for right wing propoganda (Fox News) programs either. Just something that presents both sides of the issues. This program is not it and will not open your mind

Love the idea and subject matter, by Please address us gals too... right in the first commercial he is talking only to men (about cooking a blue apron dinner for a woman). Addresses everyone as "guys". This is off-putting to me as a female listener, and emphasizes the idea of government being a boys' club.

Thanks for this podcast. The absence of snark and giggling that goes on on Pod Save America is such a relief.

By far the best political podcast out there - maybe second to Pod Save America. But there are very many, many people saying this is a terrific move by the ratings machine: Tommy Vietor. Jon Lovett is so sad and overrated, he just doesn't know what to do with himself. Maybe this will get along with Jon Favreau, but who knows. We hope it's a good relationship, but we'll see. I expect this podcast to be absolutely GOLDEN. Just so much gold, more gold than you've ever seen. So much golder than Obama could ever hope to be - SAD. And where's Marcus Rubenstein? Someone get him some water, he must be thirsty. I can't wait to talk to Paul Ryan. He's so craven it makes me blush - but you can't tell because of the orange. Please pee on me...

I was late to the party, but really enjoy Crooked Media's podcasts and other content. Really insightful perspective from people who worked in the White House, have a conscious, and have a sense of humor. It's about time we had some engaging content about what goes on in other parts of the world! Now just get a woman on the team permanently so you don't mistakenly come off as a bunch of frat bros.

I cannot wait to listen to this podcast, Tommy is a valuable voice on Pod Save America on foreign policy and I'm sure he won't disappoint!

Any friend of the pod knows what Tommy brings to the table. He uses his experience to explain the little subtleties in policy decisions which he does with incredible clarity and insight. Week after week, Tommy gives a critical analysis of some of the new Govt decisions and the repercussions it would have in the broad scheme of

Having saved the world in like 5 episodes the Pod Save America team seems to have set it's sights on a bigger target: the world. I'm guessing this will take a few more episodes than America did, but these straight shooters (widely respected on both sides) consistently over achieve. Listen to this podcast so we can save the moon by march!

Let's be realistic, Tommy is the best pod save America Monday co-host due to the fact he had a real job instead of just inputting things to a TelePrompTer. Can't wait for the new pod!

Tommy Vietor has the foreign policy, and communications, experience to give some real insight. One can only hope Lovett will occasionally appear to interrupt. A welcome addition to the podcast rotation.

Given the pedigree, I have little doubt this will be an informative and essential podcast for me in getting through and better understanding the coming years of foreign policy.

I'm looking forward to this podcast! I know enough about foreign policy to know I need to know a lot more. On the other podcast, Tommy does a great job of explaining foreign policy in human and understandable ways....it's almost as if he wants listeners to be aware of what's happening in this country and the global repercussions of that and vice versa. I'm confident that will continue and get even better on this one. Pod bless Crooked Media (and Dan!) for caring enough about this country, the world, and everyone in it to help us be more informed and active. And thanks for all y'all have done, are doing, and have yet to do! Sincerely.
