Nathan and Marielle!!!
This was amazing. Of course. Your two minds and talents coming is not going to be wasted time.
Well, you spoke into my story... with my precious 17-year old daughter. A junior in high school going through emotional stuff. She’s recognizing the patterns in her life as the result of her younger traumatic years before we found her and made her ours. It’s been a brutal unpacking of the why behind the what. And now we are seeking professional help and are coming up against closed doors. Psychiatrists actually saying, “I’m not a good match for her.” Is that legal to reject a desperately depressed teen seeking medical attention? I can’t even. But we are not alone, we are riding on His wings, we have hope and we will persevere. I know the right help will happen. This time that I just spent quietly listening to your conversation and incredible song.... was so not wasted. You lifted my spirits and warmed my heart.
Thank you😌
Love you so!

Nathan has a way of guiding conversation in a way that feels natural, yet still he leads the discussion to insightful territory time and time again. He has a gift for tapping into the topics we’re sometimes afraid to broach, but he does so with grace and humility. Each episode is unique and intriguing, leaving me with new reflections of my own spirituality and scope of religion (and humanity) as a whole.

This podcast is great. Nathan Albert is my favorite. I also love the little boy who was part of the season 2 trailer - he’s my favorite too.

Nathan’s thoughtful insights and questions have resonated with me for many years. The Why Behind The What is a fantastic continuation of those things. This podcast provokes deeper thought in a respectful way that seems to break the mold of tearing other opinions down to get ahead, while still challenging beliefs, and opening up dialogue. I find myself waiting for each new episode with greater anticipation than other podcasts in my library. Keep up the great content my friend!

Nathan creates a beautiful vision of truth through his words and I find myself relating to many of his topics. His use of personal experiences draws you in more as these examples provide such raw and honest moments. Thank you for being vulnerable Nathan and teaching us Gods Will:)

I met Nathan at North Park University back in 2009. One thing that stood out to me about Nathan is his genuine love for others and for Jesus.
After a hiatus Nathan is back and I am so enjoying hearing what he’s discovered in his time off.
Faith is something we all struggle with at one point or another and I love the way Nathan pushes mine to grow in new ways.

Sept 29th:
...great convo with Ray McKinnon re: racial unrest in Charlotte. Real and emotive. Let's stop the dehumanizing!
He’s back...and opening up a brand new direction. Get ready for Healthy deconstruction and Humbling revelations.

So glad TWBTW is back! Nathan is articulate, engaging, funny, and heartfelt, and I’m excited for direction he's taking in Season 2! I think a lot of people get to that place of something no longer working - I know I’ve been there and sometimes still am - and we all can benefit from hearing how others have found ways forward. I’m eager to hear how things from the past have helped Nathan transform his present!

Love love love!

The title could use some shortening... but hey the subject matter is critical to those both inside the ministry bubble and those outside of it. The reach back to the ancient to make transformation today is right on.
