This song is one of the most touching songs I've ever heard. First time I heard it on Pandora, I was like, wow, this IS AMAZING. Now I love Carrie Underwood and am glad she won Idol, she is one of like 2 or 3 Idols to ever REALLY make it. She's right behind Kelly, with 4 albums and Kelly with 5. Whether she writes her music or doesn't, I think Carrie is amazing (usually, the ones I love love love are writers of most of their music, ie Alanis Morissette). This video only adds to how touching the song is. It brings out the seriousness of the song. Young boy jumping from foster home to foster home, sad. Young mom unable to support her and her daughter, sad. Old man in a hospital basically on his death bed, sad. Right here you can see Carrie has the potential to be a great actress (I haven't seen Soul Surfer, but I wan't to just because I want to see her in it).

Carrie Underwood songs are usually upbeat, but this one is more meaningful and insightful. It is not about boys or girls, but not about the meaning of life, but why you should not worry much about this life, but more on the future.

This song makes me cry, especially the last part. I think that if you don't like this song, something is wrong with you. If you don't like the music, that's partially understandable-even though the music is beautiful. But if you don't like the lyrics you are made of stone.

The lyrics are pretty straightforward and are not enhanced by the video, so we get a little bit of dialogue to add something to it. This is not among my favorite songs, but I love Carrie so much I wanted to get this before its television debut. I'm not disappointed in any way, I'm just not giddy over it like I have been with several of her releases (go get the Just A Dream video and Carrie's rendition of How Great Thou Art). I know people have been waiting for this video, though; they will not be disappointed either.

It brings back memories of being with my terminally ill daddy just hours before he passed from his temporary home to his eternal home. The song itself is beautiful, but this video adds so much more meaning to it. The things of this world do not matter in the light of eternity. Life is truly just rooms that we are passing through on the way to our forever home in heaven. This song and video will be a ministry tool to so many people. This song was a gift from God to Carrie, just as she is a gift from God to her fans that love and support her.

The song Temporary Home itself has such a powerful message and Carrie's interpretation and heartfelt delivery make it even more so. This video portrays the songs message simply and beautifully. Carrie's talent is unending and just when we think she has reached the pinnacle she soars to a whole new level. She did an amazing job in all aspects of this video. Seeing her sitting by the hospital bed with tears in her eyes reminds me very much of my daughters interaction with my Mom in her last hours. It is like reliving that experience all over again, only in a good way. Even though I shed a waterfall of tears each time I watch it I feel a sense of peace and hope. Kudos to Carrie and everyone involved in this video - It is very powerful and touches the depths of your soul.

I was SO excited to see this music video! It is one of my favorites on her new album. The song is so moving, it makes me want to cry. Carrie sings the song beautifully, as she always does with emotion. The song is about three different people; a little boy, a single mom, and an old man who are all going through hard times but they accept that our home here on earth is only temporary and the one in the next life is eternal and a better place. my favorite line is near the end: "..and he whispers don't cray for me, I'll see you all some day he looks up and says I can see God's face."
