I think that the music video is sad, weird, romantic and absurd, because it talks about dreams that Carrie is having. It's like she's getting the viewers' attention about dreams and transitions that appear in the music video that was released 6 years ago in the summer.

Both are very intimate and personal and are very good music videos. However, I like Carrie's better because I like how they filmed it and I love how delicate her voice sounds. And also her acting is great!

I greatly appreciate Carrie Underwood's song and video. As a military vetran who has served in three tours in combat, I am greatfull to those who pay tribute to our fallen comrades. The video could have been better had the funeral scenes been in a National Cemetary and the casket drapped with the American flag. I understand that this is only a video. I ask everyone who loves our country, and really wants to support or HEROS to go to a national cemetary and attend a military funeral for one of our fallen. Even after their sacrafice they deserive our support, as well as their families. We owe our lives and freedom to them.

Absolutely beautiful song. The first time I heard this song I was driving on the freeway, I had to pull over because I was crying. Coming from a military wife… This is our worst nightmare and she tapped hard into that emotional wall that many military families try to keep up. I can’t think of one military wife that would not cry the first time and maybe several times after hearing this song. It is a very beautiful yet emotionally deep song.

From the facial expressions of Carrie, she was able to convey excellently the confusing and life changing aspects of dealing with the tragic loss of her husband - from the happiness during the wedding day which flashed back into her mind at the funeral TO THE emotional pain and suffering of this young widow at the funeral. From the facial expressions of Carrie, I can feel the confusing and sometimes it is impossible to explain the reason why her husband has to die and asked, "Baby, why'd you leave me, why'd you have to go...I was counting on forever, now I'll never know." While she was walking down the aisle (when the white dress and wedding veil turns to black dress and black veil indicating that she is now awakened in the reality that she is at the funeral of her husband), from her facial expressions, I can feel her denial and disbelief that this is happening to her. Carrie accurately portray, the intensity of the emotional pain and suffering and the desperation of losing the husband of this young widow. This incredible acting skill and this technically skilled tremendous vocals only show that the best is yet to come for Carrie Underwood! Carrie felt and captured the strength and the sincerity of the lyrics and the melody of the song in the music video! SHE DID IT WITH CONVICTION!!!

... that i have heard in a long time. an 18 year old girl is at her husband's funeral, in the black dress. she is dreaming about her wedding, and then it hits her like a bullet in her heart- he's not coming home. she is having memories of the time spent with him, and also of when she is given the letter that he was killed. this is a very emotional video, and it is amazing. carrie does an amazing job. after hearing this song, i can't stop thinking about it and most other songs just don't seem right (most with explicit labels). thank you, carrie.

As the title says, this vid is summed up by one simple word: AMAZING. Carrie has really outdone herself and I believe this is going to be her biggest hit ever... even possibly bigger than Before He Cheats.

I loved the fact how the vid is told in flashbacks,... some ppl didn't get this but she's in the black dress the whole video thru... she's actually having flashbacks about the good times in the beginning: the wedding, the kisses, the car talkes (which are btw on the eve of his departure) and then everything sinks in where it hit her like a 'bullet in her heart' and the dress becomes black (though it always was) and the 'wedding' becomes a funeral (something that it was the whole video)....

wow-- I am still crying. What an incredible, moving, powerful song and video. Carrie shows real acting skills here as well-- and I love the whole dream like atmosphere Roman White created. When Carrie is holding the folded up flag at the grave site at the end-- she is holding on for dear life... and it is so powerful. I love the shout out to Eddy Arnold in the beginning when they played "Make the world go away." nice touch. Loved it!

I have lost someone suddenly and the sorrow, anguish, and disbelief is caught in this video. It stirs your very soul. Carrie did and outstanding job of portraying all the feeling felt by someone who has had a tragic loss. I cried through the whole video. The acting, song and vocals are outstanding.

What Can I say? Carrie Underwood has done it again with her music video for "Just A Dream". The story of the video is about a young girl who dreams of her wedding day to her fiancee who is in the war, but then finds out that he has been killed and ends up walking down the aisle to her fiancee's casket, wanting to believe that this is all just a dream. It is deep video filled with emotion, and Carrie's acting is top notch: you can really buy her story in this video. Her acting makes it all seem SO real. It is a must have video, and arguably the best country music video of 2008.

Carrie Underwood has achieved some really great honors in the music industry. She's successfully become an icon in the genre of country music, and produced some great songs and performances. Her new video for "Just A Dream", really illustrates her talent as an artist who puts all of their emotion into their songs. The video tells the story of an 18 year old girl, who gets married to a man who eventually goes into the military. When her husband dies in battle, the girl cannot believe it. At the funeral, she still imagines herself at her wedding "all dressed in white", but reality soon sets in and the wedding dress transforms into a black funeral dress. The girl is overcome with sadness, grief, disbelief, and distress as she says goodbye to her husband, and thinks it must be "Just A Dream". Carrie sings with true emotion, and her acting in the video is incredible. To use her own words, not one of her tears in this video are fake. She really feels the emotion in the song, and I'm sure this will be a big hit. Congratulations Carrie.
