I KNOW she`s having fun, as beautiful as some people are, "You`re never fully dressed without a smile" in 2 seconds everyone would know she is fully dressed, and she must be having a blast. i think that this song might even be better than before he cheats, there are some parts too country for my taste but the music video is really good! i think its alot better than other music videos because it makes sense but isnt some terribly long story. and the music is really fun and loud, yet with an actual meaning.

Its amazing how a video visual can change the meaning of a song, well it did for me at least in this case....this is what I see now...after thinking about it.....

The "Poison" wasn't really the alcohol, it was the "blinders" Carrie put over her eyes she was intoxicated by a good looking guy paying her some attention, she didn't see the truth of the situation as it progressed in front of her. Notice that Carrie never showed any signs of the effects of the Cuervo...lol she was just wide eyed and innocent to what was happening to her... ok so, Good looking guy sees her, she's flattered he asks her to dance, and immediately hes flirting with every single other woman he sees for the rest of the video, right in front of Carrie, the winks are cheesy, but very deliberate now I get why...so Carrie leaves with him, again is "blinded" she sees the "Pinto" and taps the fuzzy dice, but just laughs it off, but her first reaction was..."you're kidding right? good looking guy drives a loser car?" that was the "should have been a warning"..line in the song..now the casino, Carrie is again "poisoned" by the winning at the tables and winning the "pretty little souped up 4 wheel drive"...she's on a roll, shes feeling lucky now... so why not... get married???? lol....it feels so right, good looking guy, pays attention to her, seems to be lucky.. but then in the chapel, Carrie sees the exchange of winks..raises her eyebrows (just like in the BHC video, but less condeming..) he convinces her shes the one for him, he makes his false promises... and Carrie puts the "blinders" on again and seals the deal.. the fuzzy dice hanging from the rearview, is hilarious. Loved that Carrie's band was again part of this video, Carrie's performace and look with the band is awesome!!! I guess "awesome" is the word of the day..lol..

Roman, loved that he put this spin on "Last Name", loved how he and Carrie chose to portray Carrie in this video, they took it in a direction that was entertaining, yet still has a message, listen to the wake up call, if you open your eyes, you can see the truth, its right there in front of you.... it'll save you some pain down the road....

I think this video is awesome- but I don't understand why some people think Carrie is "abusing" her success from the "Before He Cheats" video. Carrie Underwood once again steps out of the box in her video for “Last Name,” her third single off sophomore album ‘Carnival Ride,’ and ups the ante on the sass factor.

A prequel to the multi-format smash “Before he Cheats,” “Name” tells the story of a girl (Underwood) having a night on the town, when a man asks her for a dance, leading to a wild night of gambling and ultimately getting hitched at a Vegas chapel by an Elvis impersonator. All the while, the male lead is shown flirting with different girls that are featured in the scenes. Despite the fact that Underwood catches him eying a girl in the chapel while they are exchanging vows, she continues to marry him and they ride off in a very familiar red pickup truck.

In the video, the storyline is intermixed with clips of Underwood at a mic stand, wearing a hot black outfit and dancing along in a seductive yet classy way. It is amazing how far she has come in showing off her personality since winning ‘American Idol,’ as she is able to pull off the moves and make it look like she is really enjoying herself.

The video for “Last Name” will, like its predecessor/successor, be a major crossover hit, and will ultimately propel the song to heights Underwood has yet to reach, as impossible as that may seem.

This is probably one of my favorite songs from her second album. The song is hilarious and I love when videos go along with the story - and it's a GREAT story. My anti-country music friend is now obsessed with this song; it's that good.

When I heard that this video was going to be a prequel to Before He Cheats, I was intially apprehensive, since it was making it seem like that was her only hit; I was pleasantly surprised when this came out then that the reference was quick, allowing this story to last on its own. Carrie, a true and worthy country megastar, and the Opry's newest member, shines as she brings on the sas and sexyness. One thing I do wish we could have seen is more of the trashy side of the Carrie character, since the song is really taking place the morning after the video ends. It would have been nice to just have that one tie up scene, maybe at the end, of them waking up next to each other in bed and screaming or something. Either way, Carrie gives this her all; if only some other country stars were this talented and beautiful!

The rythm is very simular too Before he cheets. Carrie is without a doubt the best country singer ever and she will become a legend.

Wow- this is a fantastic video! I love how it is a pre-quel to Before he cheats! They used the same cheating guy and skanky blonde tramp that were in the Before he cheats video-- but made this take place 3 months prior to the truck trashing incident in Before he cheats. The video starts when carrie and the cheater first meet in Vegas, and get married. Flash forward 3 months- and he is cheating on her- so she trashes his truck, that they won in Vegas on the Wheel of Fortune. Very clever. I really love the rocker Carrie in these videos, showing a different side of her. Then she is the sweet innocent girl having a pina colada with her friends in the club. :) Roman White did a great job!! And Carrie shows some very good acting skills as well! Nice job!

I love her!! I went into watching this video with high expectations, and they were definitly filled. Carrie Underwood's videos never cease to amaze me and this one certainly did not fall short of excellent. Hate Country, Love Carrie. If you like Before He Cheats, you will love this.
