Contrary, it seems, to popular opinion, I think one of the positive things about this music video is that it she didn't try to turn it into a story. It's just straight on dance, and a little bit of story, but that part is pretty minimal. I LOVE dance videos, and this one is probably #1. Lot's of artists now want to turn it into some epic, dde, moving story that is going to change the world. (Or maybe they just didn't have any ideas, but they had to make a music video). The thing about story music videos is that once I've seen it, it's over, and there's no point in my buying it because I'll never bother to watch it again. Whereas, with dance, I'll watch it again and again and again and again.
My issue with a lot of talented singers is that they aren't MULTItalented. They just pretend to dance in their videos, and get away with it because the camera cuts to something different so quickly. They all do this.
Ciara can actually dance, and she actually does dance in her music videos. I love the choreography in this music video, and I love the idea.
Thank you Ciara, for making this video! It's my number one music video of all time!
I saw this music video for the first time about a half a year ago, and I still watch it.
