Rio 2 regrets. Seriously. I think this movie wants to be a Pixar wannabe. And penguins of Madagascar is also horrible. Those to movies are Pixar wannabes. Sorry but there's something called reality. P.s this movie is 💩

Rio was my favorite movie as a 9 year old. It has been ever since. I think the sequel is just as good. Good plot, comedy, actors, characters, music, etc. (goes for both Rio and Rio 2) This series is the best. And when I say best, I really mean it!

very boring + they tried way too hard to make it funny and as good as the first one. didn't even finish it cause I was falling asleep! wish I could return to the store :/

This movie sucked. The first Rio was good and sent a good message. This one is just a stupid liberal propaganda machine. They try to make loggers look like evil swine. Good God you hypocrites. Where do you think your paper comes from to write your movie script down on. Oh. And if you are trying to send a message, don't force the characters "good or bad" personalities on us. Let us decide!

Not sure I understand all of the positive reviews, but to each his/her own, I guess. The first one was fairly clever, with good music, and Jemaine Clement's character/bird was a part of the story that made sense. Rio2 was forced and painful. Not surprising from a sequel, perhaps. To sum it up, my 10 year old's post-viewing comment was "well, that was a giant waste of $15." If you choose to watch, I would strongly suggest rental vs. purchase.

Rio recycles 80% of its jokes, material and character development from other movies and general popular culture. It is a bore of a movie. Far too many characters to care about any one and too many plot lines forced into an hour and a half. The music was far inferior to the first and really any of its kind. I hope my kids don't like it so I don't ever have to watch it again.

I was so excited when I saw the first trailer of Rio 2. I loved the first movie. And this movie wasn't disappointing. The movie was funnier than the first movie, it was entertaining for me, and it was cute. If you ignore the criticism this gets like I did, you will love this movie.

This movie is solely based on the white bird harming Blue ...kids have enough violence in the world please stop putting it in their movies too!!!

Horrible movie. The first one was so boring and I saw it 3 times, this one is a bit better but still not so interesting.

Don't listen to what all the "professional critics" say. Rio 2 is a wonderful production with lots of color and family humor. Both adults and children with love it. Amazing casting (love gabby)

Don't be fooled by what these "professional critics" say. Rio 2 is a very worthy successor to the first Rio. Kids and parents alike will love this movie. I'm a 19 year old guy, and I loved it.

The exotic locations, the incredible animation, the heartfelt and emotional storylines, the exceptional music, the perfect actors, etc. Everything that you could ever want is present in it. If you're looking for a great family movie, this tops out anything any other movie producers have out now.

The hubby and I took the kids opening night and WE LOVED IT! Both hubby and I said it was way better and funnier than the first and we really liked the first one! It did feel a little long to me but then again I had a long day. This could be a good thing to occupy the kids during a long drive or if mom and dad need a sufficient nap. 2/3 of the kids made it through the entire movie and credits even though it was an evening showing and we all had been up since 6am. I believe this is because it was thoroughly entertaining! Our youngest fell asleep very close to the end. If you even just liked Rio you will LOVE Rio 2!
