Why no widescreen and HD version?

We're is the widescreen and HD version of this movie? Both the 1982 and 2014 versions of this movie are widescreen and HD. Why is this version of this movie still full screen. I like this Annie movie the best but won't give a full screen version 5 stars.

This, the 1999 adaptation of the broadway musical "Annie" has it all over the overblown 1982 film.
The story is stripped down to the essential plot. The casting is stellar. The music is infectious. It is fun for the whole family and a worthy addition to your collection.
