I'm not sure why this is categorized as a comedy because I found not much funny about it. Interesting, yes. Funny, no. Worth a watch.

I don't know how 84% could like this. Every time it started getting somewhere, I was disappointed. Save your money and don't waste your time.

I'm beginning to really question rotten tomatoes score on movies. This is a terrible movie. The editing and story are lame and I don't even understand why a movie like this is made. It's not fun at all to watch. It's almost like all the actors are just full of themselves and have no care about the script. I had to turn the movie off in the middle.

All four funny parts in this movie were in the preview which means that there was absolutely no reason to rent this movie, forget buying this movie. I've been soundly ripped off. Horribly edited, poorly acted, bizarre script. If the producers had hired the person who edited this movie to make the preview, this would have been a great movie. As it is, it's not as bad as My Dinner With Andre or Napoleon Dynamite but not nearly as good as many other movies available at iTunes. I seem to be striking out this week with the very small offerings available on iTunes.

Captures the essence of Bogie's detective films and film noir with a slapstick comedic side. It's an ok pizza flick.

This film is pure genius-ness! The L.A. scenery is beautiful. The plot is brilliantly hilarious, full of action and romance, and simply fantastic. The cast is epic. Robert Downey, Jr., Val Kilmer, and Michelle Monaghan are all just great together! This is most definitely a film to buy!!!

Ultimate sarcasm! In this immensely satiric film, Robert Downey Jr. and Val Kilmer make a hysterical pair. One of my favorite crime comedies next to Snatch and Small Time Crooks.

i absolutely love robert downey jr so i watched this movie and thought it was great! its an action movie but has just enough humor to keep you interested. its turned out to be one of my favorites!

Robert, Val, and Indio (Roberts son) make a great movie together...i love the script, the scenery, and the plot...but i also love the cast...

The plot is at times incomprehensible - you sort of need to be paying attention a lot - and really don't bother trying to figure out what's going on for yourselves, you'll probably still be a bit confused when you leave. But it really is extraordinarily good fun, beautifully shot, incredibly well acted and gloriously well written. The dialogue is brilliant, and you get to see all kinds of neat bits of LA. One of my all time favourite can watch at any time movies.

First of all this movie isn't a comedy. But despite the wrong title this movie is amazing. No matter what genres you like you should watch this movie. This movie is amazing.

Robert Downey Jr. is one of my favorite actors, so I decided to watch this beacause he was in it. That was one of the best decisions I ever made! This movie in incredable! It has romance, comedy, mystery, and everything else! RDJ, delivers a fantastic performance. Val Kilmer blew me away! He had some of the funniest lines in the moveie! And Michelle Monaghan, was perfection! This is by far one of my favorite movies! I strongly sugget renting it or buying it! You'll love it!!!!

This movie is fantastic!!! Subtle, dark humor, a serious storyline with many, many comedic turns, Robert Downey Jr, Val Kilmer... What else do you need? I've seen this, I don't know, 20 times or more, and every time I watch it I pick up on something new and hilarious. Shane Black ACED this one!! God, this film is so damn funny. You never know what's going to happen in a scene, but it's easy to follow and you Black lets you figure the mystery out on your own as the characters figure it out. That makes it extremely enjoyable. The dialogue is fantastic, the acting is fantastic, the storyline is fantastic, RDJ and VK have GREAT... no, AMAZING on-screen chemistry, the soundtrack is fantastic... There's nothing to dislike about this movie. NOTHING. A must-have if you're into detective-noir, comedy, or just great films.

If you are a fan of Robert Downey Jr. then you will absolutely love this movie. Even fans of Val Kilmer will want to sit down and watch it. Shane Black does a great job directing but I feel he misses on opportunities with a script like he had and an actor like Robert Downey Jr. to add make a memorable movie for 2005. It is definitely worth the time watching.

the pseudo postmodern voice-over is a bit annoying, an dthe dialogue, while often very very clever, can be, in teh worng mood, cloying and annoying. but, in teh right mood, this film is so very funny and even slick. if you like robert downey jr, you will love love love this movie. this is the film that resurrected his career. kimer is a hoot, and moneghan is really good. the film is full of one-liners. high quality one-liners. amost bogart worthy one-liners. if you're not in the mood for one-liners, wait. also, if you enjoy a hip slam of los angeles, see this. i myself quote from thsi film every couple of weeks. it's the veronica mars of neo-noir movies. i really really hope shane black makes another film. pardon my typos.

Downey did the best that he could but came short of par. The whole plot was just amateur. I rented because Val Kilmer and Downey but even they couldn't save the horrible plot.

Shane Black, the writer/director of "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" is probably best known as the screenwriter of some of Hollywood's major action movies, such as "Lethal Weapon," "The Long Kiss Goodnight," and "The Last Boy Scout," among others. His penchant for witty dialogue and odd-couple buddy match-ups are well-known. "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" is his directorial debut, and a smashing one. This is one entertaining movie. The screenplay is wittier and more clever than the last ten movies I've seen combined. This film satirizes the conventions of film noir and Hollywood action movies, while at the same time paying homage to them. Black also has fun mocking the phoniness of the Hollywood social scene. Robert Downey, Jr. and Val Kilmer are terrific and work well together and Michelle Monaghan is both enigmatic and charismatic as the woman at the center of an unsolved mystery. This is first-class moviemaking from a writer with a true sense of humor who is not afraid to poke fun at the business he has succeeded very well in.

Ilove this movie, and excited that it is finally out on itunes. It maintains good humor throughout a cleverly devised suspens plot. this a great movie and one of my favorites.

Kilmer and Downey are so good together in this film. It's a MUST OWN. Kilmer's Gay Perry character is sublime.

I watched this movie last night on AMC and I have to say I was amazed. The acting (especially Robert Downey Jr.'s) was remarkable and hilarious to boot. The plot is fast paced and often laugh out loud funny due to Downey Jr.'s bumbling antics in a sequence of serious events. The camera work is also impressive although not the best I've ever seen. Since the movie never really gives any time to breathe and figure out what is going on, you may sometimes be wondering what is actually going on. It rarely detracts from the plot (in turn is creative and original) which is easy to follow and never made overly complicated. All in all, I would say, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is a stylish, action packed and quite hilarious film that I reccommend to any thriller/adventure fan.

Despite the somewhat strange title and at times confusing back and forths, this movie was actually pretty good. Val Kilmer is great as always, and RDJr was very good as well. Michelle Monaghan is a favorite, very believable performance. To be clear, this is a not a movie that inspires you to think outside the box or feel strongly about something - but it is a well made comedy-action-adventure flick, and I would recommend it for those who are looking for light entertainment.

One of those little movies that snuck by everyone. Val Kilmer and Robert DJ both do a great job. Its interesting and funny. Good for a night when you are looking for something funny to watch. T&A included. High five from a 32yr old Male.

Wow, this was bad... all the good reviews must be put in place by fake reviewers hired by publistists.....We could not watch the whole thing...great actors but the directing combined with the writing were unwatchable...don't waste your time.

It's one of my favorite thriller/mystery. Robert Downey Junior's performance is especially impressive, as he brings a great deal of charm to the role. It also makes for a good holiday film. High points in the plot include the stylish title sequence and the rather bipolar ending.

My mom rented this movie for me to watch when it came out, it went on to become one of my favorite movies. I laugh everytime I see it and I would suggest that anyone looking for funny action/adventure movie should watch it.

Such a stupid pointless movie

It is a nice changeup flick. Unique and unlike any other. In my opinion its very good and worth buying, especially for 10 bucks! If you like Robert Downey Jr, Val Kilmer and good acting, this is a good low budget movie to have in your collection.
