This one's got everything: a great script (thank you Edna Ferber), plus wonderful characters and actors to play them, esp. Marie Dressler and the Barrymore brothers, but including nearly everyone: Wallace Beery, Billie Burke and of course Jean Harlow. Even the maids and secretaries are pitch perfect, and as an extra treat the cast includes the underrated Karen Morley from my favorite film Our Daily Bread. I love that it's the floozies who save the day, all because of the dinner. Bravo.

The best of the "All-Star" films put out by MGM with some of their biggest stars of the time. Good story, and some classic performances by greats, John Barrymore, Marie Dressler, Billie Burke and the absolute movie stealing performance of Jean Harlow. It is her performance here that shows why she was such a hot property in her day. She truly showed comic genius in her not-so-dumb blonde role. Definitely worth the price!
