THIS MOVIE IS GREAT. Genevieve danced while stepping on the circle stuff, but the monkey just stepped on it! You're suppose to dance!!! I'm disappointed in this movie. How did the monkey open the portal thingy when he didn't even dance on the steps!!! Omg!!! Im very disappointed. AND ALSO. When they tried to make their way out of the place, when Genevieve and Derek danced together, DEREK DIDN'T EVEN STEP ON THE CIRCLES! WHAT EVEN IS THIS!

What if I'm 17, this movie is amazing!!!! The older barbie movies were and still are great to watch. Repunzel, Nutcracker, Princess and the Pauper, Swan Lake, Fairytopia, Mermaidia, 12 Dancing Princesses, Island Princess, and Magic of the Pegasus. All of these are great!!

Always have and allways will love this movie! It has been on my top10 Barbie movies list ever sense the first time I ever watched it. I'm 11 and my frend does not like Barbie movies and I say "deal with it."

This is possibly my favorite Barbie movie next to Princess and the Pauper. Though quite different from the original fairy tale (which I personally prefer Barbie's version to), this movie is a real treat for all ages of fairy tale lovers. Besides being excellent, this film also delivers positive messages about working together and how anyone can make a difference in the world.

This movie is so amazing, I just can't describe it. The music, the characters, storyline, EVERYTHING! I totally recommend it for every age.

Very colorful animation and the plot is easy to follow. And, as usual with Barbie movies, the heroine is strong and ethical. She does not need to be rescued by the hero, but chooses to let him help her. This movie was great fun to watch (and I'm a grown-up!)

I liked this movie, out of all the Barbie movies I saw as a young girl, the only one I fully remember is this one (and Princess and the Pauper), so that's got to be saying something. However, I wish this movie had a soundtrack! I really love the song that plays in the beginning credits, where the shadow/animated girls are all dancing.

I am 11 and for the past few days have been watching all the movies I watched as a little kid.I went through our movie chest of drawers and found almost all my old Barbie movies (I only don't have the newest one & the princess and the pauper.I've told my friends about it...they think I'm wacko!!It's a good movie not the best Barbie movie but okay.

This is one of my favorite movies. I am glad that I bought it. What I like best is the story of family and the beautiful colors and drawings in the different scenes. This is a good movie with wonderful classical music. This movie is great for all ages.

I think it was good in the sense that everyone cares and the plot, though predictable, has a scary side. I dont appreciate how they only focus on genevieve and lacey, speaking of which, they annoyed me with ANOTHER set of triplet sisters. Felix made me laugh every second he spoke. The movie isnt barbies best work, but its definetely worth the watch.

My sister loves them but I have to sit through the lame things(barbie movies)and they stink and I didn't expect this one to be any better!!!! So go watch Despicable Me.

This is not one of Barbie's better movies. I would recommend the Princess and tge Pauper, Rapunzel, the Nutcracker, and maybe the Three Muskters and A Chrismas Carol.

Me and my little sister agree; the plot is kind of cliched, despite the 11 sisters of Barbie as Genevieve, we only focus on Genevieve and Lacey, really. And the dancing is hard to admire seeing as a bunch of animated figures are dancing, but whatever. One good point is that the scenery, excluding the magical pavilion, are very pretty and believable, and so is the soundtrack, excluding the main theme. The design of the castle at least isn't as bad as the Princess and the Pauper, or a bunch of other movies, where the castle's exterior and the ballroom floor is painted pink!

The movie was wonderful the girls looked beautiful in their dresses. I loved the movie so much that I want to watch it again. The end of the movie was happy.

It was cute but predictable and in the book, the eldest one was the main princess. I grew up reading fairytales, i have about 8 large books and it was about the girls sneaking away evry night to dance in a castle, their room had a secret passage and they went through 3 different forests, gold, silver, and diamonds. When they got home very night their slippers were in shreds, so the king grew suspicious and held a proclamation for whovever could solve the mystery would marry a princess of his choice and in the book he cose the oldest, Oh and also an old woman gave him some advice to nvr eat or drnk wqt they gave and she gave him an invisibility cloak. Good but ruined the original idea. :(

i love the twelve dancing princesses, the nutcracker, and the princess and the pauper one.

the island princess was ohkay, i liked the songs; but, that's about it.

mariposa, thumbelina, & the other fairy/mermaids ones were pretty much a let down.

the muskateers was uhm. better than the diamond castle at least. :)

I love this movie, even though I am eighteen, it has a good story, plot, animation, music, and dancing! Surprisingly a lot of the barbie movies are good! I also recommend a christmas carol, the fairytopia trilogy (particularly mermadia), princess and a pauper, swan lake, the nutcracker, diamond castle, and thats all i can think of, the others are just okay

Does anyone know the name of the music in the soundtrack or how to get it? I love this movie as much as my kids do! The color is beautiful. The story is beautiful. And the messages are true for all, young, old and in between.

This is my favorite barbie movie. I dance a lot, and I like to sing, so I like this movie! I am not saying that this is the best movie out there, but in my opinion, it is the best barbie movie. Both me and my little sister love it! I like how barbie takes different fairy tales and puts their own spin on it. (Although they did take liberties with A Christmas Carol....)
