This film shows the flaws in the arguments against steroid use and much of the hypocrisy in America towards PED's

This movie exposes the myth that steroid use is a death sentence. Mr. Bell's excellent journalism provides a window into a world that few will ever truly know. An unbiased tell-all documentary. Watch it.

Great informative documentary! The diversity of the enhancements are very wide spread.

Chris Bell did a great job bringing what really goes on in the world to the big screen. Many people are ashamed to talk about reality and what athletes really go through. You answer the question...... What would you do to be the best, if your livelihood depended on it, to support your family?

The reality of sports in today's society

When I saw this movie for the first time in NYC at the screening during the Tribeca Film Festival, I have to say that I was thoroughly entertained! I thought the movie was as unbiased as it could be, you either are for or against anabolic steroid usage. The case for or against is strongly made. It is one of my favorite documentaries not because the director whom happens to be my cousin, but I just really enjoyed the way it was directed and how the story was told. I recommend anyone who likes documentaries to watch this movie!
RIP Mad Dog Mike Bell, you will never be forgotten! May you finally be at peace!

Babe Ruth was on steroids also, the guy that got him started fueled alot of Great athletes movie stars and bodybuilders of the time. Surprised you shouldn't be just because arnold and the guys made them famous doesn't mean steroids haven't been around for many many years before.

Are you kidding me?

I honestly cannot believe that some paid to finance this horrible documentary. It follows the life of three brothers, two of whom take steroids for no other reason than to fulfill the emptiness that they have been unable to find in daily life (I found it scary that these men are procreating). Instead of highlighting the sad nature of their pathetic existence, they are portrayed as victims of society and thus not responsible for their own actions. This could have been an amazing documentary on the propensity of american dependency on drugs, using steroids as a example of this trait. Instead this movie deflects blame of steroid users as 'everyone is doing it' instead of taking responsibility for it. I found this movie to be not only seriously lacking in common sense and extremely annoying to watch. I had higher hopes for a USC grad.

Suprised how well done!

I do recommend this film but I don't agree with how Bell ends the film. I don't mean to be rude or disrespectful but I want to ask is the film dedicated to the Uncle that got the boys interested in steroids? If so was his death related to steroid use and why is he never introduced in the film? There are amazing scenes in the film like when Bell meets Arnold. I do believe all baseball stats by athletes using steroids need an S after their stats because athletes like Babe Ruth did not use steroids or any enhancing drugs so it is wrong to compare them. I remember a really nice woman from Karate school told me she took steroids and although I liked her, I resented her for that. This film covers politics and there is no doubt it is well done. I agree with the film makers attitude on pharmaceuticals so there is a lot of interesting topics he touches on. I really liked his Mom. I would like to see part 2.

Simple but absolute qualtiy.

I can't say enough about this film. If you think this movie is just about the pros and cons of steroids, then you will miss the point. It's about life, lies, truth and chasing the dream. Very, very well made. Bravo! I rented it, but think I will end up buying it. Seriously.

This was a great film, especially for any guys growing up in the 80s and 90s watching sports, action movies and wrestling. This is a wakeup call to any parents that have kids now, to see dilemmas our kids might face at even younger ages now. Chris Bell puts his entire family on display to hopefully educate, or at least enlighten many of us who haven't seen steroids up close.

I don't think I've ever seen a documentary so balanced. At the end of it you could really go either way on whether to juice or not. He provides the evidence, pros/cons, and leaves it up to you to decide. Great film, good job!

What a great movie. Chris Bell definitely has a future making movies. He told a story that was emotional, funny and informative and he told that story with humor, love and understanding. He did an incredible job of presenting both sides of the debate of steroids in a clear, concise and fair manner. What a wonderful family to open themselves up the way they did. Some of the hardest moments of the film came from Chris’s parents – but their love always came through. As a female who has never used steroids, but whose younger brother did, I would recommend this movie to every one – it is information worth knowing. Well Done!

This film raises many thought provoking questions surrounding issues such as steroid usage, morality, and the competitive nature of American culture. You won't regret watching this, I promise!

I rented this movie assuming it would be an attack on steriod use. Instead, it is an even-handed examination of "enhancements" used by everyone from weight lifters to golfers to musicians.
What elevates the movie to the great level is the subject matter is very close to home for the director/screenwriter. Christopher Bell experimented with steriod use himself in college and his two brothers have never been able to stop using steriods.

great!
