It was ok, Liked it for what it is. Don’t hate.

The whole premise of the movie is that the main character, Tank, is hired by men who messed up their relationships. Tank's job is to take these guys' ex-girlfriends out on the worst possible date that they could ever experience so that the girls will run back to their previous relationships. Tank is supposed to be offensive, rude, and disgusting. If you were offended by Tank...he was effectively doing what these guys hired him to do.

I enjoyed this movie. The main character gives men a second chance with their exs (even if one abuses that new chance) and he falls for a girl (who's labelled as his friend's girl, but she is obviously less than interested in him). It's crude humor and if you like that, you'll like this movie.

Dane Cook does a FANTASTIC job playing his character. Very impressed with the movie. Very funny as well. BIG DANE COOK FAN

I love the actors in this film but their given no direction but Im a huge fan of dane cook but I seriously confused this for being the sequel to Good Luck Chuck it had funny bits but none that are rememberable, i give it 3 cause i don't think its worth the buy or the rent but if it comes on HBO feel free to check it out. but leave the remote in sight.

I loved this movie and really enjoyed it because the plot is so different. It's basically about a$$holes but you get to see it from a girl's perspective too. Kate did an awesome job in this movie and Dane was Dane of course haha so totally enjoyable. You can't help but laugh out loud!

Good Movie not as funny as I'd hoped!

This is by far, the funniest movie Dane Cook has done yet, and the only film to live up to his stand-up comedy's level of humor. Filmed in his (and my) hometown of Boston, this movie combines the romantic comedy elements of a chick flick with the vulgar over-the-top dirty humor you'd expect from Dane Cook, where his other movies may have disappointed his stand-up fans. This movie spares nothing in the gag department, but it's also charming. Jason Biggs and Alec Baldwin are also great, and nobody can deny Kate Hudson's charm. Overall, it's a very vulgar, funny but also charming story about romance and friendship in the big city, and I'd recommend it to anyone - guy or girl.

I really expected more from Dane Cook, considering he's actually pretty good. This movie is NOT at all a chick flick...like seriously!!Some parts had cheesy jokes but it was actually pretty cute!

When i first saw this movie i couldnt stop laughing.... if you are a guy then i seriously reccomend it...... but if you have sobby feelings and take things too seriously , then go watch a chick flick. I like most of Kate Hudson's movies but I did not care for this one. There were some funny scenes but I wouldn't recommend seeing this movie.

Okay, I do like Dane Cook (sorry for all of you who don't). I think he's always given the role of the loser so some people see him as one. However, I see him in this movie as the "necessary victim" of his 'ne'er do well' friend with the questionable "talent" of being able to be so obnoxious to women that they go running back to their ex's. Hudson was great but the role was also a typical role for her; she plays the "woman women like to hate" very well. She's gorgeous and talented, don't get me wrong, but most real women would hate her if the role was reality. I think the worst thing that was done for this movie was to put it in the wrong genre. It's way more a comedy than a romantic comedy, and it's probably way more of a "guy flick" than it is a "chick flick", but if you can lighten up a little and forget labels it's a pretty funny movie. I found it somewhat predictable, but what's not any more? Overall, forget the labels, lighten up, laugh and enjoy. I would recommend renting it, though.

as a girl who thinks chick flicks are a brand of torture by boredom (no offense intended to those who dig them - just personal preference & point of view, is all), i gotta say that this movie wasn't bad. If you like Dane Cook, you'll love this. It has more comedy than ol' fashion romance. Some people mentioned that the humor was crass. I think it's of the ' chillin' with my friends' variety. The plot is definitely formulaic, but it's the interactions between the characters that make the movie. Gotta love the sniping. I think the only other 'romantic' movie i've ever enjoyed this much was "Mr. and Mrs. Smith". In any case, that's just my idea of romance. But hey, even if you're a chick flick die hard fan, give it a try anyways. Why? - Why not?

Hysterically funny and very amusing. Good for both guys and girls. Make sure everyone likes crude, almost vulgar humor. If you are a super goody-goody and want a tear jerker love story then this isn't the one. If however you have a first date and you want to break the ice with a romantic comedy (and the girl is a little thicked skinned) then this is the one. Very British sense of humor.

Personally I thought the movie was great. Both my guy and I enjoyed it and thought it was hilarious. Definently worth renting if not buying.

I rented this movie anyway, even though I thought it might not be very good. But I did not realize it would be as bad as it really was. The acting is sub par and the story just isn't funny. The characters are disconnected from each other. Kate Hudson's acting is poor in this movie. I thought it would be better because her performance in Fools Gold was pretty good.

If you are considering renting this movie and have never seen it before, I would highly recommend that you think about it more. If you like movies that are intellectual with a grown-up but respectable comedic plot, then do not rent this movie :)

Almost didn't rent this because of Alec Baldwin. But went ahead because of Kate Hudson. Kate must have been duped into making this movie. It's pathetic. Not funny, not romantic, dumb, crude, hostile. I can only imagine what the writer, Jordan Cahan, must have been doing while he was writing it. And what the director, Howard Deutch, must have been waiting to do while he was directing it. Don't waste your money. It has one star only because you have to pick at least one star. My real rating would be negative stars.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I read the reviews before downloading and noticed that people either hate it or they love it; there doesn't seem to be much in between. I am a female who loves romantic comedies and chick flicks but I also love vulgar, crass and offensive humor. This movie is a bit of both. As for the story, the basic plot line is predictable but a lot of the events that happen are not. Now that it's available to rent, I'd definitely recommend it. I may even watch it again before my rental expires...

This movie was really cute, it would be good for like a stay at home date, its funny and comical. kate hudson was gorgeous and so was dane cook. and the ending takes a twist and then finally ends the way everyone thought it would, but it was worth it.

If you like great writing, a lot of crude and slightly angry sometimes touching in your comedy this the movie for you. I have to admit I love Dane cook-but not his last movie 'Good Luck Chuck'. This movie was one of the few that not only did I laugh out loud many many times, BUT I had to buy the movie just to review some scenes to get it all in. Loved it, there I said it.

This was super hilarious, almost ever word was funny! Best part: eyebrow part. I would buy if my mom's credit card wasn't the one paying for it, but man, it had me to tears, and plus kate and dane were soooo cute together.

I'm not sure what the 'rated' version is like, because this is the first time I have seen this movie, but let me tell you I am glad I got the full jokes. The ending at the wedding has to be one of the best comedy scenes EVER! Sure, some of the jokes are really sick. I'm talkin' South Park sick. So if you are offended by those types of jokes, then this movie isn't for you. However, if instead you are not a boring person who goes to church every wednesday and sunday and takes his/her vacation at the same place every year, then this movie is for you!

i think some of these reviewers need to relax. first of all, in being very close with the makers of this film, i'm not entirely sure why this movie is deemed "irrelevant". love stories, crude or romantic, are a way for people to escape reality.

i guess i cant argue with what viewers may consider "funny" or "not funny"; but in criticizing a film, keep in mind what goes into making a movie. if you cant empathize, you probably should shut it.

and lastly, in response to the "jesus" comment above - its a comedy! those are jokes. get it?

The story is somewhat predictable, but you will be laughing from start to finish. Dane Cook's character tries to help jilted guys get their women back by being an absolute a-hole on dates. He charges a fee and the hope is the women realize how "wrong" they were, and go running back to their ex. He eventually helps his roommate, who was dating Kate Hudson's character, but actually falls for her. He also comes to realize that maybe what he's doing and the men he's helping aren't really the right thing to do. All very predictable, but the best parts are the lines between Alec Baldwin who is fantastic here and the lines Dane Cook whoops out made us laugh so hard we had to go back and watch parts again to hear what was being said. Look for a Lizzy Caplan as Kate's friend, giving out some funny & slutty advice to her friend to try and help.

AWSOME MOVIE... hilarious

I thought this movie was ridiculously funny. And I'm a girl, and I wasn't offended by it or anything. It's an obnoxious movie though, it definitely is unrated haha. But it's still hilarious, definitely see it.

I give this 5 stars, some might call it a chick flick but I think it appeals to both sexes. Great plot and it's terribly funny. I went to see this with one a female friend in theaters and we were both entranced by it. Two thumbs up

First off i dont know why this movie is labeled under romance which is why so many people are giving it low ratings. sure it has romantic parts in it but i think its more comedy, (what kind of romantic movie is titled "My Best Friend's Girl"), but besides that i really enjoyed the movie, cook performed as well as his stand-up and biggs, hudson, and baldwin were hilarious as well. Would definately recommend.

I had to stop the movie three times to simply get a break from the stupidity of the movie. I was in the mood for a chick-flick and seeing the trailer I thought,"Geez, this looks so funny." Man, was I wrong. I did see the entire movie only because I spent my money on it. Honestly, I would not recommend this to anyone. Long, boring and very played out.

Sure Kate Hudson has been in a few movies, but everyone is forgetting the lovable Saving Silverman, Band Camp, and Loser boy we all know and love. Show a little respect. Not much I can say on the movie, but if your a girl you'll probably be too offended to watch this.

Cook needs to get a new recipe for his comedic taste. Other than that it is nice to see Jason Biggs out and about.

I watched this with my wife and we loved it. It was very entertaining and didn't have any real slowdowns til the end.

The humor may be crude sometimes but it is not tasteless, right at the point. Very well made, not worth five stars because it was kind of long in my opinion but definetely a solid four star comedy which you won't regret watching.

I saw a lot of movies in 2008 and this was pretty decent. Its not for everyone, but it doesn't fail my expectations. Its not really a chick-flick, has more of a comedy feel to it then something hugely romantic theme, yet there is some minor romance spaced through out the movie. Hudson was funny as usually, had that certain charm that makes me enjoy her on screen. Baldwin was hilarious and so was Biggs. Cook was actually like a lot of his stand up was in some way, especially if you've seen him live, you understand why he enjoyed making this movie. I know a few are writing reviews, but unless you enjoyed The 40 Year Old Virgin, Wedding Crashers, Knocked Up, or Forgetting Sarah Marshall, you probably won't feel the need to enjoy this one. Its raunchy for a reason, and the unrated version is even more then that.

If you like Dane Cook and have a sense of humor this movie is for you. I found this movie to be comparable to Wedding Crashers in many ways so if you liked Wedding Crashers you will like this movie.

This movie is horrible, the ending is horrible, and its not even that funny. What they do in this movie is horrible and should not even be made into a movie. Dane Cook should stick with just his stand up comedy because every new movie he's in seems to get worse.
