There is so much to say about this masterpiece that it is impossible to figure out where to start. This is possibly the greatest cast essembled to any movie ever, only rivaled by its sequel. Brando is of course phenomenal, transforming entirely into the iconic role of Vito Corleone. This is the movie that brought Al Pacino front and center, where he absolutely belongs, allowing him to give one of the greatest performances and transformations in cinematic history. John Cazale, Robert Duvall, James Caan, Dianne Keaton, Talia Shire, the list goes on and on and on of great performances in this movie. The direction, cinematography, and iconic lines of dialogue entrance you and take you right into the story, making you forget the movie is almost three hours long. You become a part of the story, and you watch Michael fall from the war hero to the Godfather.
