Description
Facing Christmas 3,000 miles from his estranged wife and two children, New York policeman John McClane (Bruce Willis) flies to Los Angeles bearing presents and hoping to patch up his marriage. I seriously thought I had accidentally bought a SD version of this movie with my Apple TV at first, because some scenes are a little blurry and the entire movie is letterboxed (it doesn’t fit the entire screen like most movies bought or rented from Apple). It still looks good, but definitely not typical 4K good. After some research, it turns out that the 4K version just looks like that. I guess there’s only so much remastering you can do with an old 80’s movie.

Bruce Willis is a awesome actor. Also, would I tunes and Apple, add "Moonlighting"? It was on ABC, from 1984 to 1989. Awesome comedy television show. Cybill Shepard was equally Awesome too.

While I'm not exactly a HUGE fan of 80s action films (The Terminator was kinda boring, but T2 is one of my favorites. Also, I would like the Indiana Jones movies more if they weren't as creepy.) This movie is worth watching. Funny moments, action sequences that are fun to watch, and great acting! A good watch. R.I.P. Alan Rickman.

This movie is still iconic! Gotta love this masterpiece of Action and Comedy. The look is dated by now, however, the humanity of the characters still resonate; you feel for Bruce Willis' barefooted hero as he tries to out-wit and out-maneuver "the bad guys".

The 80's is often considered the best year of blockbuster hits. It's often considered the golden age of... well, everything! Movies, video games, comics! If you were a kid in the 80's, you had it ALL. But one thing you couldn't have is Die hard. It was a rated R movie, and it brought a new sub-genre to the action movie genre.
So, Die hard is based off the novel "Nothing lasts forever" which is actually a sequel to a novel called "The detective" which also had a film adaption by the same name which went well with critics. But the characters and title was changed for the "Nothing lasts forever" adaption, and we got Die hard.
Die Hard is a normal action movie, where any movie critic will walk out satisfied, if your daily medicine is guns, explosions, action, combat & swearing. This movie will give you an overdose!
The first one was often considered the best. If you're new to the series, it would be best to start with Live Free or Die Hard, since it doesn't have as many "Faint-of-heart" scenes... but... Critics these days...
The character development is well done and for people looking for it so they can fully develop the characters more, you learn and infer Character's pasts using their conversations and using clues. It gets your mind pumping and it lets it rest when it cuts to gunshots and explosions.
While today, this is considered cliche' I have to disagree, Die Hard Scenario movies are great, but not as many have been coming out, it started a subgenre, maybe not the most popular, but this movie had a great fan following and it became a cult hit.
And... really... it's Rated R. The language, nudity and violence go up so high in this movie, you could just call it NC-17, but they didn't It lives up to it's standards, but if your underage, this could be offensive... possibly cause heart attacks...
Anyway, all-in-all, it's a great movie, buy it, you'll be satisfied, trust me.

Renting is a convenient second option. That being said, I am taking this time to inform you that renting is not viable as an only option in the minds of many of your consumers. I think that the amount of movies sold is directly linked to the increasing amount of stupid people on Earth. I reada person's comment below which said that "there's no sense in renting a movie". Of course there is - IT'S A MOVIE. You can watch it once and then you're done. You've seen the movie. What do you do after that, watch it again? "Oh wow I can't beleive it ends like that...Oh wait a second, yeah i can because I've already seen this movie..."
So in short, if you have amnesia, don't rent this movie, go out and buy it.
At least the rental price is reasonable (compared to the buying price for these movies that's not saying much, however...)
