Description

From the rural town of Preston, Idaho, comes Napoleon Dynamite (Jon Heder). With a red 'fro, his moon boots, and illegal government ninja moves, he is a new kind of hero. His family consists of fragile brother Kip (Aaron Ruell), who's seeking his soulmate in online chat rooms; Uncle Rico (Jon Gries), who is stuck in his "glory" days of high school football; and Grandma (Sandy Martin), who enjoys going out to the dunes on her quad-runner. Napoleon spends his days drawing magical beasts, working on his computer hacking skills to impress the chicks, and begrudgingly feeding his Grandma's pet llama. When his friend Pedro (Efren Ramirez) decides to run for class president, it is Napoleon to the rescue to help him triumph over adversity.

I have watched this movie a million times it is one of my favorites! Some people might think it is pointless and a waste of time. I think that is what makes it hilarious! Napoleon and Kip have some pretty funny phrases that you will be saying to your friends.(your friends will think you're the weirdest person alive but who cares right?) So "come get some food Tina!" And laugh your head off with this movie!😂

I'm 12, and I really don't like this movie that much... my parents keep telling me that you need to watch it over and over to get it, but I don't think even that could save this movie. It's bland and quite boring. I kept waiting for it to get better, but the only funny parts was the Kip-tupperware thing and the end with the wedding. I found the main character to be extremely unlikable and hard to root for, He was just a weirdo, and not in the likable way. Overall, it seemed pretty boring to me personally, but I guess I could kind of see how someone might like it...

This movie is exacty 1 hour and 34 minutes of solid , smelly crap! upon watching the first forty-five minutes i grabbed my laptop and wrote a letter to all involved for the $3.99 it cost me to rent this stinking pile of dung. this movie was recomended by a boss of mine. When the supervisor started asking questions about his buisness practices; I told him how much my boss liked this movie and he was fired !!!!

I just wanted to say something to all the people that think this movie is pointless....

I think this movie rocks. Its just basically making fun of the typical high school nerd and his older brother that didnt do anything with his life. Basically the High School days all around. Its just so funny because its sad that Napoleon is so sure that he is the coolest guy ever that he starts to talk about his "Sweet Skills" LOL! Its so funny. Same with Kip. He says hes training to become a cage fighter. LOL! I also love how Napoleon and Kip are fighting constantly. This movie is Awesome!

This movie is so retared, and yet hilarious at the same time. Jon heder is so perfect in the part of Nepoleon. Don't be afraid if the first time you watch it you just sit there at the end scratching your head and wondering why you just wasted your life on this movie. Napoleon Dynamite is a strange but funny movie. There is NO plot line, just a bunch of funny lines and scenes. The time setting is strange. It is sort of a 80s but there is the internet and cellphones. Some people like it and some people don't. You need to find out for yourself. Overall I like it and I think it is a good movie to put on your iPod.

The first time I watched this movie I just didn't get it. It took friends quoting lines from the movie over and over to get me to watch it again and from that point I really enjoyed it (and started quoting the movie myself). Obviously this movie has become a modern classic and has hit a nerve with people (remember when 'Vote for Pedro' t-shirts were a really cool novelty...now everyone has one!). My advice? Watch it, re-watch it, love it and quote it to your family, friends and neighbours until they're sick of it!

John Heder and the other of the BYU grads did a great job capturing the silliness and salt-of-the-earth humor that is Idaho. When I first saw this movie I thought, "Well, that's just how people in Idaho are. What's so funny about that?" But, then it made me laugh at how genuinely hillarious Western America really is. Gosh! I love Idaho!
