The movie does a great job of telling a story of what it takes to break through racism and bigotry. Teamwork, faith in each other, and a leader willing to step in and fight with and for his team. Yes the underdog can win in America.

Glory Road is actually my favorite movie. It is funny in parts, sad in others, and it makes everyone feel great at the end. The music is excellent and portrays the time of the flick nicely. Although the ending was predictable, the movie as a whole was awesome! The way the movie is written allows you to feel and experience the wins, losses, and pain the players and the coaching staff go through. I doesn't matter if you like basketball or not, I can promise that you will enjoy this movie. The actors are very good at showing you what it was like at that time, no matter if it is historicly correct or not. :D

Right after this movie came out, I heard a radio interview of one of the players from the original team. He seemed like a really down to earth and believable guy. He said that almost all of the racial stuff was fabricated for "dramatic effect". He said they encountered very little racism and most people were pulling for them to win because they were underdogs, not booing them because of their color.

This is one of the rare sports movies that transcends the genre. It is one of the best films ever made by Jerry Bruckheimer. I would even go so far as to say it is the best basketball movie ever made. Partially because tells the profound story of the racial problems black athletes dealt with not too long ago. But the film is also heartfelt and funny and very fun to watch. The acting is excellent. Josh Lucas is increadible as Don Haskins, he literally diappears into the role. This is a great film.

This a great movie about the legendary late Don Haskins & the Texas Western University (UTEP) Basketball team who was the first team in NCAA history to play 5 African-American in the national championship game. I highly recommend Glory Road! R.I.P. Coach Don Haskins.

Some of the scenes in this movie where really sad. but all and all. Glory Road does not have high-speed car chases, gun shoot-outs, booby traps, or big explosions...

So why do people enjoy this film so much?

Because it's inspiring! The movie puts you into the player's shoes, and you feel their pain and their emotions. When they are threatened, you feel scared. When they get in fights, you feel hurt. And when they get to the championship game, you CHEER!

I've dared people to NOT get involved in this movie, and so far, it seems impossible. And if you ask me, even if a movie doesn't have these "blockbuster trademarks", it can still be a great film if it just moves you and inspires you! Buy/rent Glory Road, because for the two hours you're watching it, you'll be part of (in my opininon) the greatest journey through basketball EVER!

Some people might think of this as your typical underdog sports movie. It's much more than that. I had bought the movie never seeing it before on iTunes and have not one regret. This movie can be watched over and over again never getting old.

This movie is the best movie ever it is a lot like the basketball version of Remember The Titans but even better especially for any basketball fans a definite buy or at least a rental if you are a sports fan you won't regret it.

This is my favorite movie. It is a great story of overcoming prejudice to accomplish something. This is a great movie to buy.

The movie was good and traced their footsteps pretty well. However, if any of you saw the documentary that ocassionaly airs in sports channels, you will see a more in-depth history of the team and especially what the Kentucky head coach did, or did not want to do, after the championship game. I was disappointed that that was not covered in the movie as it was one of the compelling parts of the documentary done of the team. Not to detract from this movie, but if you have a chance to see the documentary, please do. It goes into more than this movie in as much time.

Really really good movie. It was very well directed, and the acting was amazing. Josh Lucas is an impressive actor, especially in the dramatic scenes in Glory Road.

The story was beautiful, how one coach decided to breakaway from what was commonly accepted and to have African Americans on his team and actually have them play. He realized that having contempt for someone just because they are a different color or from a different ethnic group, is just stupid. What would the world be like if we all looked the same? We need to appreciate the beautiful differences we have, because God created us to be unique.

I totally recommend this movie, but you should just buy the DVD from Wal-mart or some other store because you can watch it over and over again on your tv screen.

This is a great basketball movie that shows how racist our country really used to be. It takes place in a time when no one wanted African Americans on their team and because of one man (their coach) African Americans were and still are accepted and treated as normal people not just on the basketball court but in daily life as well.

This is definitely one of my favorite movies ever!!!!! It shows what african -americans used to go through, and what some still go through today. They should make more movies like this one!

I was at Texas Western that year, and the season actually was even greater than portrayed in the movie. I wish they had shown El Paso the evening of the NCAA Championship win. The town went absolutely wild!

This is one great movie, my family knew Don Haskins and I'm from El Paso and this movie did such a great job of keeping it real.

This film is amazing if you haven't seen this you should because the story is amazing and the cast is good but above all else considering how much the team really went through to achieve one common goal because the team was playing with an all black line up and they got treated like crap throught the whole film and coach Lucas got them to play as one put race aside and do their jobs both on and off the court and that is somthing I truely admire about this film because it really shows what can happen if you have the cast around the coch and what people can really do if you judge them by their character and not by their skin color. It's just amazing how good this film is produced and done all togther if you haven't seen this film see it you will not be disapointed I've seen it twice and it gets better every time I see it. plus coach lucas told them to just ignore all that went on and I can truly respect that in this man.

this movie inspired me to fulfill my dreams of tennis. i know i am not great at basketball like these players. they are amazing and have a lot of potential. THat is why they succeed in the end. I look up to this movie for my tennis playing and it inspires me like every character in this movie.

i love this movie, since it deals on how different races work together. it reminded me a lot of the movie remember the titans which is a classic. the actors in this movie were really good but its not a movie, for me, that i could remember many years later...

Glory Road is a really good under-dog team movie. And while it does have its fun sences, it also shows what black basketball players had to go through to get where they are today.
