Description

Although Belgium’s premiere sleuth Hercule Poirot (Kenneth Branagh) plans a spectacular Egyptian vacation aboard a glamorous river steamer, the trip turns into a terrifying search for a murderer after a picture-perfect couple’s honeymoon is cut tragically short. Set against a sweeping landscape of Giza pyramids and desert vistas, Death on the Nile features a stunning ensemble cast. Based on Agatha Christie’s beloved novel, this tale of unbridled passion and incapacitating jealousy is filled with wicked twists and turns that will have you guessing until the shocking finale.

This is a great continuation the the Mystery series. It’s very intense and keeps you guessing who the killer could be. 5 stars

Thank you Kenneth Branagh for remaking Death on the Nile, and Murder on the Orient Express. Excellent remakes. Best Poirot portrayal in my opinion. And bonus, we finally found out why Poirot wears that ridiculous mustache!

The Original is by far better than this!

It’s ok, however, watch the 1977 version. Much better and a fuller story than this one!

I thought the movie was fantastic. Good story; its great to see mystery movies like this....so few and far between. Some people think its too slow, but those people just need to stick with stupid action films. This is more a thinking man's movie. Good all around movie.

This is by far the most boring film I have seen in a long time. Everything is CGI. This film goes nowhere fast. I don’t know who gave this 5 stars or more than two have had to be paid reviews.

Great Who-dunnit!

Watch Murder on the Orient Express first, as this builds on that. Loved all the dynamic characters and lavish setting. Keeps you guessing with plenty of surprises!

Loved this film.

I believe there’s a political agenda with the people who are leaving negative reviews. You people need to get a life.

The cast offers nothing but bland performances and the main character is honestly the Nile.

This is a travesty built upon the corpse of one of the best stories written by Agatha Christie. While the acting is good to excellent; the whole film reeks of additions and changes to make it more 'modern'. These modifications, while tolerable in Orient Express, as the core story and characters were left intact; stick out like a sore thumb here with subpar writing. While those unfamiliar with the book will likely be entertained through its runtime and little else, I heartily regret ever watching it. I would would instead recommend getting the book on tape as performed by David Suchet for a far more enjoyable experience.

Such a colorful take on a murder mystery. The drama never stopped and the plot and setting of the movie created such a campy experience which is easy to love if you’re not so uptight. I enjoyed Murder on the Orient Express as well. These are just such a fun depiction of Agatha Christies books and nothing to take too seriously.

The accent of the inspector was too much and he was way too serious - such a boring dull film and a lot of familiar faces , it’s surprising - no connection to the characters either. Such a shame, I always like a whodunnit movie. BORING BORING PREDICTABLE AND BORING ( and a quite bit annoying too).

The scenery was too fake. I just couldn’t transport myself into that world. Moreover some of the scenes seems to drag on too long. For example some of the dance scenes in the beginning just seemed awkward and too long. I just didn’t feel I connected with any of the characters.

The old classic version is so much better than this movie with a cast lacking charisma and synergy, the scenery is ok a little too fake for my taste covered by annoying jazz music and bad acting. Just a plain boring movie

Dissapointing compared to the first in the series. Murder on the Orient Express was excellent, this one was ho hum ok. It was sub par writing, with a list actors, trying to push a woke lgbq bull garbage, instead of making sure the writhing was up to par the actors sold out for a pay check and in the time period that this was suppsed to take place it would not happen and is unrealistic. combine that with the weak story that was obvious to everone in the first 5 minutes of the flick, even my 5th grader figured it out right away, SO do not waste your money at best this is a $10 movie if you have nothing else to do otherwise wait until it is $5 on sale it should not take long for that to happen

Marshmallow Fluff for the 55+ crowd.

This tired extravaganza of late colonial Egypt showcases some tame Nile scenery, some pretty lame background CGI and most probably Armie Hammer’s last legit movie role ( excluding possible future parts in films like Cannibals From Pasadena). Sophie Okeneda’s performance was far and above the best 10 minutes in the film, and the blues tunes sung (lip synced) by Ms. Okeneda hit the mark. Suffice to say, Papa and Grammy will enjoy a nice movie night with no bare rumps or breasts, and only one slightly spicy scene between legally married adults, of course interrupted before it gets interesting. My question is : why make this forgettable piece of fluff? Why bother? Someone made money from it, I assume.

So bad

Sad to see how their first film barely informed the direction for this one. There were so many underutilized characters, annoying jazz music in an Egyptian setting, and the protagonist was arguably laughable. Gal Gadot could not save this film.

The lack of or complete dismissal of attention to detail was too much. Too many modern themes in a period piece really pulled me out of the story. This film is a hot mess. Complete waste of talented actors and director. Disappointing.

What an interesting watch this was from beginning to end. This is perfect to watch with family and have each guess who will the victim be, and who could be the killer. The entire cast did such an amazing job recreating characters from the novel and the scenery was breathtaking. Gal Godot as usual is a goddess to watch and so is the incredible Kenneth Branagh to reprise his role as Hercule Poirot!

The movie was okay, with good acting and cinematography. But a slow burn. One of those movies you’d want to see only once. If you’re an Agatha Christie fan and liked Murder on the Orient Express, you’ll like this one. The story wasn’t bad, just a little boring. Bring back Armie Hammer!!

I was happy with this movie, the characters had very shallow backgrounds. That’s the most dissatisfied and neglected part of the movie. Some twists and unexpected turn. Liked some of the songs, the beat was good.

Read the book and saw both the original film and this one

For me as much I enjoyed the book and first film this is the one I felt was visually prettier. Story and the characters more detailed and richer. My only complaint was in the other film the villain was more of a problem. Worth watching need more escape films cinema

While I’m glad they’re FINALLY making more Pink Panther movies (Steve Martin’s were TERRIBLE) I’m disappointed in this film’s lack of jokes and comedy. It’s not even a comedy actually. Kenneth Branagh’s performance is too serious

As someone who has not read Agatha Christie’s books, this was a brand new movie experience for me. I watched the first movie several times before I fully understood all the details. This one was brilliant in almost all aspects. I did not see the ending or several twists coming, which is exactly what I’m looking for in a whodunnit mystery. The acting was good, particularly from director Kenneth Branagh and from WW Gal Gadot. I really enjoyed the boat setting as well, which provided a unique feel to the movie, just as the first one did being set almost entirely on the train. The film was cool and classy, with old-fashioned tastes, which was amazing for someone who wishes he could visit those time periods. Overall, fun movie with great twists. I won’t spoil anything, but most of you will be blown away, assuming you are new to the story.
