This movie really puts a lot of the video game in it !! Love it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!!!!
Street-smart thief Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) is recruited by seasoned treasure hunter Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) to recover a fortune lost by Ferdinand Magellan 500 years ago. What starts as a heist job for the duo becomes a globe-trotting, white-knuckle race to reach the prize before the ruthless Moncada (Antonio Banderas), who believes he and his family are the rightful heirs. If Nate and Sully can decipher the clues and solve one of the world's oldest mysteries, they stand to find $5 billion in treasure and perhaps even Nate's long-lost brother...but only if they can learn to work together.
I’m a fan of movies like Indiana Jones and National Treasure and I rank this movie up there with those movies when it comes to action and excitement. I’m just ready to watch it on my own TV screen etc.
I’ve been playing these games for over a decade of my life now so I’ve been looking forward to this movie for a long time. I agree with a lot of other reviewers that I wasn’t sure about the casting choice for Nathan Drake and Sully but Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg exceeded my expectations in just about every conceivable way!! They really brought the same dynamic that Drake and Sully have in the games. I also can’t believe they pulled off some of the massive stunts from the games. It was amazing seeing those brought to life on the big screen!! This movie was incredible and I can’t wait for Uncharted 2 (which was the best game IMO).
grew up playing the games and then replaying them again and again. i wasn’t sure about the casting choice for nate and sully to be frank. but tom holland and marky mark pleasantly surprised me and exceeded my expectations in just about every conceivable way. can’t wait for the next one
I like it but I don’t like to wait since like I pre ordered it and it still hasn’t played for me
Went to see the movie today, it’s amazing 🤩
I still have to wait and I pre ordered it on the 18 like come on apple
I’m just ask
I am not a fan of it it bored me every minute of this movie was boring
This was actually a great movie it is was just like the uncharted video games, I played the whole entire uncharted series so thank you for bringing out a good movie for a great video games series.
I enjoyed I’m excited to see where they will take it. Perfect casting maybe not but I enjoyed the movie
Naughty Dog games took me from liking video games to loving video games. The Uncharted series especially! The game pulls you in to a life of adventure and takes you to some amazing places.
Knowing how meticulous that Naughty Dog builds out their games, I set my expectations far higher than I do with most other movies. However, I got nervous walking into the theater, afraid they couldn’t pull off the same magic in a movie format. But god da$$it they pulled it off!!!
What I’m calling Nathan Drake 2.0 (Tom Holland), does a phenomenal job at building a new Nathan Drake. Not trying to copy the recipe of Nolan North (the voice of Nate from the games). But instead taking some key ingredients and adopting a fresh take on screen.
The story of this movie brings plot elements from the game while also not ripping the exact stories. Naughty Dog games already play like a 20+ hour movie already, so simply trimming that experience down to 90 minutes would have been boring.
A strong foundation of characters, storyline and intrigue has been laid.
I’m loved this first Uncharted movie and I am very much looking forward to the rest of this new movie franchise!
The movie is fine as a movie. If you wanted to watch a mediocrely-written adventure film that’s too action heavy and very thin overall, this is a good one to watch. It’s a fine at best action movie.
But that’s all it is. It isn’t clever, or even really good at anything it tries to do. Holland is an enjoyable actor who can carry a film well, Wahlburg was an interesting touch, and the rest of that cast was okay, but it felt more like they were acting as individuals, not as a cast. The on-screen chemistry is clumsy and Holland’s boyishness doesn’t fit Nathan, even at his intended age in the film.
Watching it brought be back to the memories of the Star Wars sequel trilogy. It felt like very little consideration went into the plot, as long as the visual set pieces are there. Risks weren’t taken when they needed to be, and the film is a bland run-on action sequence as a result. Not as bad as some video game movies but the spirit was there and the attempt isn’t even commendable.
boring. L+Ratio+ youre white
5 stars for the movie i thought it was going to be different but It is a good movie I liked the games I thought it was going to be way different theme the games but I was closer to the games then I thought it was going to be but it’s a good movie
Was expecting a dumpster fire but was pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable this movie is
I went to see this movie with my brother, and it was a blast! It’s a different interpretation then the games but overall it’s fun and action-packed!
I enjoyed it and I’ve been playing the games for years! I have a few complaints, but praises as well. There were some plot twists that were unexpected and great! However, the screenplay was a little lackluster. I am very thankful that the makers and actors worked on the vision they had! However, I hope there is more action in the sequels and that the characters are more like their video game counterparts. It doesn’t have to be 100%, but just more so. Hope that whoever reads this that also worked on the movie knows that I enjoyed it and please make a sequel :).
The plot-twist of who the main villain was was amazing. I enjoyed her acting and character a lot. Antonio was great was well as everyone else! I am also relieved they talked about Sam in the beginning rather than wait until the last installment to show him or even talk about him like the games did.
Uncharted is a movie that I came into it with little background, I knew what the premise was about, and my brother owns the game, but I never got around to playing it. Let me just say, this film makes me want to! It had surprising, yet not overwhelming plot twists, it’s action was intense and exciting, and it’s comedy made for a good chuckle. Mark Wahlberg and Tom Holland made a dynamic and hilarious duo, not only that, both actors performed fantastically! Even though I love this movie, I will admit that it has a fundamental problem, it’s start was quite quick. The screenwriters clearly wanted to establish background throughout the adventure, but to me it did come off a bit rash and sped up, in my opinion it would’ve been much better before they explore. Nonetheless, this movie is great for all audiences, if you want action, adventure, comedy, even hints of romance, this is a film I highly recommend!
Not the smartest movie ever made, but fun and enjoyable as l9mg as you don’t nit pick.
