With great performances and cool action scenes... what else could a Terminator movie need?
Well? How about a little innovation.
This movie was supposed to do, what The Force Awakens did for Star Wars...
Bring back the “classic” characters, introduce new ones... BUT they repeated TFA’s same mistake: recreate the story from the franchise’s first movie; almost beat for beat...
And to some extent... Terminator needed to have innovation in it’s story more than Star Wars did...
So... does that make the movie “bad”?
HELL NO... Arnold and Linda are fantastic, while Davis and Luna do a fine Job...
Action scenes are well executed.
And the story is “OK”, if you understood the TFA comparison...
