Given that Hollywood constantly remakes movies under a different name, I'll give this one a slight pass for it's plagiarism. I give it 3 stars because if you see it, you will be entertained and I think that rating it less than 3 would be insulting to the director and cast. It is a movie that is probably not judged well with a limited star system. However, the storyline is socially irresponsible as once again we have a story, which would have been fine in any flavor, be only about race. The story itself is ok, it's not bad, it's not new by any means. The acting is good, it's entertaining, but it could have used more humor. The idea that these people only prey on blacks is a bit absurd, had it been that they only victimized low economic classed people, I might have believed it more. There is no social satire here, so don't be fooled or fool yourself. This is just another attempt to interject agenda where agenda doesn't need exist. This is a horror thriller, no less and no more. It's a decent movie, but the race theme is way out of place and the movie comes off as incredibly one side. I had wanted to like this movie more but in the end it didn't live up to my expectations and ended up in a basket with so many other Hollywood films that barely meet the mark.
