While this movie clearly isn't a slam dunk, I still really enjoyed it. Yes, whoever was responsible for the soundtrack made serious errors in judgement and there clearly wasn't enough of Harley and the Joker, overall is was still a fun movie for a bit of escapism. This movie had potential and the director really missed the mark, but that is no reason you still can't enjoy the movie for what it is. I look forward to a stand alone movie for Harley and the Joker, they are the characters I want to see. I could really care less about all the others.

Didn't see this coming.

First, the production was really good! Now, behold the voice of GOD... Honestly, 30 minutes in I was doing great and then the plot revealed itself! Robo-cop guy (Flagg) wasn't bad, and best during the second half, but his boss was a terrible choice for that role! Who is really afraid of that chick? Put "a few good men's" Jack's character in this spot and maybe we believe in the Boss's ferocity! This was the biggest turn off for me! How many chopper crashes are there btw? (3? 2 Too much) Thank Will Smith and Margot Robbie for holding this movie together! And yes, the joker... Captain boomerang SUCKED in my opinion! Waste! Croc should have been cooler, wasn't! The villains were cool, but again the plot sucked as did the ending as did the army of bad guys... The terms and relative "time off" that Squad received was a joke as a different choice there may have saved the movie and it's ending! (Who ok'd this script man???). I understand following the comics, I really do, so maybe it's just me! But, what hurts this movie is the lack of REALISM that even Superman and Batman/Superman have in fantastic ways next to this! A different director does this movie better, so I don't blame the actors! Production was top notch! Plot was what it was, and could have worked under better leadership and directing, but even then I have my doubts! THANK you D.C comics for bringing in ex Marvel director to finish upcoming film... there is hope for you yet! WE CANNOT TAKE A 4th MEDIOCRE FILM PEOPLE! HAVE YOU NOT SEEN THIS HAPPENING?

Love the plot!

By far one of the best joke roles. Will smith played an amazing dead shot and well Harley was just amazing as well. Great actors great movie. Wish they would of left more of the original joker scenes in though. I would of been up for an extra half hour with the joker.

but the main problem was the re-shoots, the first trailer was amazing and the second but once the movie was release it was a big mess, you can tell they had to cut a lot of "unnecessary" stuff but with the extended cut you can tell those "unnecessary" stuff was really needed in the film, I hope they can re-release a unrated or full version of this. Harley Quinn Was Amazing and all of the charcters but without those scenes the movie was EMPTY. What happend with abusive relationship? what happened to the Joker? Harley mock gun? wth? The story is not the best but I know that with those deleded scenes the movie could be muuuuuch better. I hate you Warner Bros! always ruining everything!

It's tough to say which aspect of this movie is the worst, aside from the fact that you can't get a refund after purchasing it, but suffice it to say that Warner Brothers should apologize for allowing it to be released rather than burying it in a film vault somewhere. The plot is not well developed, the editing is so bad it makes the worst 80's music video look like Citizen Kane by comparison, the characters are almost all, with some exceptions, clichéd, cardboard and/or utterly unlikeable, and the action scenes are wooden and dull. Just simply a disaster all the way around. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from this mess which lacks even a hint of campy bad movie enjoyability.

Suicide Squad is just good Movie. It's miles better than Batman vs. Superman. It's not Terrible as Critics think, but It's not Great as Fans Either. The Story is More or Less interested story and it has plotholes. The Characters: The Designs- Deadshot, Harley Quinn, El Diablo, Killer Croc (like the design but might be better if he described as Real Crocodile). The Characters Backstories are interesting.

With the exemption of Margot Robbie in a hooker outfit, this is one of the stupidest movies I've ever seen. Jared Leto's Joker is overplayed and annoying. He has nowhere near the spooky, unknown persona of Heath Ledger's Joker.

People always say that they hate movie critics just because they don't agree with their opinion, that is extremely childish. Just because someone doesn't like a movie doesn't mean they are stupid or smart, and the critics aren't paid off, they are just giving their opinion. RT is just a percentage of those who like it, not a score, the average rating was a 4.7/10. Don't agree with critics? Then don't listen to them, grow up, act like an adult you idiot. Anyways, this movie was awful. The story was not interesting, it was poorly made, written, directed and the characters were very bland and uninteresting and poorly acted, especially from the Joker and Enchantress. This movie was extremely forgettable, I was very disappointed with this movie.

Wow, how is this a standout hit?! It's one of the worst superhero movies and one of the most boring of all time! At least the soundtrack is good!

If you're a big comic fan, it's fun. Otherwise, I don't know how much interest you'll have, or how forgiving you'll be.

I'm tired of the movie industry blurring the line between good and evil characters. Now a bunch of criminals are the "good guys" and we're expected to be understanding and sympathetic that they are bad people because of...what? Being misunderstood? Unfair circumstances? It used to be that the good guys in the movies were virtuous and upright or at least bad guys became good guys because they saw the error of their ways and attoned for their wrongdoing. Now we're just required to root for evil psychopaths because they are trying to defeat an even more evil psychopath? No thanks, my mind is worth guarding from Follywood's false doctrine. I regret watching this. If you care to watch something wholesome or virtuous don't wast your time here.

Worst movie I've ever seen

Half the story is introductions. The rest is not much of anything. Harley Quinn is the only interesting character and, other than the few clips used for trailers, that's about all you get. The brief glimpses of the lame brat Joker and Leto's three picture deal (along with Eisenberg's Luthor three picture deal for Batman vs Superman) pretty much torpedo my hopes for andy upcoming DC flims worth watching. (How is it that Marvel knows how to write, cast, and direct movies, whereas DC does not? The last good superhero movie DC made was The Dark Knight, which was eight years before Stupid Side Squad.) The movie is just plain awful.

Typical "comic book" movie which certainly wasn't as bad as the critics say. Margot Robbie and Will Smith were fantastic. Jared Leto is a great actor but his take on the Joker was disappointing. The story is typical for these kinds of movies but engaging enough to entertain me for two hours. Weak script; great action sequences; fantastic make up and costumes; some clever and funny lines (delivered by Smith and Robbie mostly); and pretty good chemistry bewteen the characters. Certainly worth seeing if you like this kind of movie.

Very bland popcorn movie. All the characters are very one note and uninteresting. Pacing is awful. If you're looking for a fun ensemble superhero movie get Civil War or Guardians of the Galaxy instead.

If u love movies with lots of talking and actual plot and good writing u will hate this movie but if u want to wash out your brain for 2 hours like I did with loads of special effects then this is movie is 100% satisfaction guarantee!!!

This trailer made movie is so all over the place and is the result of studio tampering instead of allowing the director creative freedom. Do yourself a favor and save your money. Watch the trailers and you will have gotten more out of that.

Way too much back story and not enough in the present dialogue/story to make any kind of understanding of what you're watching.

For all those haters out there. BACK OFF!! If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything. Also there editing was on fleek. I loved the scenes w/ Harley, Deadshot, Enchantress, and El Diablo. I also loved how Margot Robbie did like 90% of her stunts, and also held her breath underwater for 5 minutes to prepare herself for the underwater scene. Another thing I loved about this movie was that during filming the movie, some of the actors got a tattoo that said "SKWAD", and who did the tattoos were either Margot Robbie or Will Smith. For Harley Quinn's costume I loved her "Daddy's Lil Monster" shirt, her really detailed details on her "GOOD NIGHT" bat, her red and blue sequenced shorts, and her tattoos. And also if any one of you makes a hate comment anywhere. I will come after you. All in all I really hope you'll watch this movie, and if you did I hoped you'd liked this movie like I still do.

I thought the plot was alittle thin. I'm glad I just rented the movie. Over-all it was entertaining but if they have a sequel, they gotta work on the storyline. Character development wasn't all that great...action was alittle slow too...

I love DC comics. This movie was just okay. It was entertaining in the first watch because I did not know what to expect. However, after you let the movie resonate in your mind a while, you realize that there is not much substance. I wish they just recreated the animated film "Batman: Assault on Arkham." That said, I have no desire to watch this movie more than once.

I think Margot Robbie and Will Smith did a great job. Jared Leto's Joker was decent. I think they made him too serious while missing his laughy jokester side.

Overall this is probably a rent versus own.

So I thought it would be more of a slap-stick comedy, and no it's not. But it's a twisted, fun, entertaining rollercoaster of fun. If you have to overthink a movie to watch it, then this is not your kind of movie. It's a watch, don’t analyze, kind of movie.

This movie is great, funny, and fun. I love this movie a lot. I love all of the characters in this movie. Will Smith, and Harley Quinn were my favorite characters in this movie. Harley Quinn is really pretty. I love how all of the super villains came together to help stop a powerful villain. It is one of my all time favorite movies ever.

What more is there to say? I saw a 5 star movie trailer a few months ago and the movie itself ends up being a 1 star. Super disappointed, DC has a huge pit to climb out of.

Like Batman v Superman and Man of Steel before it, I listened to all the DC fans who exclaimed while they flapped their arms wildly, "see it for yourself", "don't listen to the critics", "form your own opinion" --- as if your opinion would suddenly drop out of your head after exiting the theater. Third times a charge, the critics were right and there is a reason. No, audiences aren't disappointed because they are expecting a Marvel movie. Strangely enough, audiences want a good movie and this isn't it. While Smith and Robbie provide some personality, its not enough to salvage this rainy plotless music video. The mantra of the DCEU should be don't believe the fans who are so desperate to have an enjoyable DC universe they have practically reinvented hyperbole with such ridiculous statements as '12 out 10!', 'the best movie ever made', and of course, shutting down Rotten Tomatoes simply because they don't like the score it aggregates. Save your money, don't watch this in theaters, don't stream it, don't buy it on Blueray. Wait until it shows up on SpikeTV next to Ang Lee's Hulk and Fan4stic.

It's hard to rate Suicide Squad as a movie. . . its more of a 2 hour trailer. You could consider it a series of mediocre music videos I guess but a movie, no. Movies have plot, dialogue, and motivated characters but this movie substitues those things for bullets. The bullet to spoken word ratio is like 78:1 which, to be honest, is high.

I didn't hate it. The last half of the movie was almost good, despite awkward dialogue, banter that just didn't work, and terrible one-liners. I wish that it hadn't been a "comedy", because it wasn't funny, and the parts that highlighted the darkness of the characters and their universe showed great potential. The performances by Viola Davis and Margot Robbie were great, and I think they nailed their characters, atrocious script put aside. Of the three times this movie made me laugh, two of them were Harley.

But, come on. I wouldn't watch this again. I get that it's supposed to be an introduction for these characters, but aside from Deadshot and Harley Quinn, no one got a fair amount of characterization. I definitely don't think that it was any of the actors' fault that this ended up being such a flop of what should have been a thrilling action movie. It's the weak plot, villain with an even weaker motivation, and typical "the world will end if we don't band together" trope. Cliches left and right.

If you liked it, or don't need a movie to have a cohesive plot, that's wonderful and I'm glad for you. But this just didn't do the characters or the universe any justice. It wasn't memorable. It was only half-entertaining while watching it in IMAX in a crowded theatre.

If DC really wants to create a movie that's "for the fans, not the critics", then they need to stop trying to make their movies similar to whatever another studio was successful with, all while trying to balance it with what they were originally trying to achieve.

Was really surprised Wil Smith stuck with this, which seemed like a sinking ship. Costumes were meh, the direction seemed poorly constructed, and overall the story seemed weak. For the DC side of things, I really enjoyed the Dark Knight trilogy and Man of Steel. Batman versus Superman was diappointing in comparison and this was even worse for me. Obvious there are many that loved this one, but I wasn't in that lot. Perhaps not quite as bad as the 1990s Batman & Robin, or the 2000s Superman Returns, but still was hoping for something better.

I really wanted to like it and I was looking forward to it for a long time but it wasn't good. The plot was all over the place and the actors had nothing too work with. There were some good scenes that gave me a glimpse of hope that the could have made it better.

I wish they put in the deleted scenes because that was what I was looking forward to them.

So disappointing with such a talented cast (aside from Joel Kinnaman, who incidentally makes Keanu Reeves look like Oscar worthy talent). Forced humor that wasn't funny. Plot development that never starts or transitions to logical points in any story. Captain Boomerang and Katana were wastes to even put on screen. The Joker is merely a distraction from the story (albeit the story is a self deprecating dumpster fire). Will Smith did a good job, but all else fails miserably. Save your money; DC yet again finds new ways to waste highly potential projects with sub par product that may have been rated G-U for generally unwatchable.

Wanted to see a great movie & left with a sour taste as characters had no depth and plot was as boring as the lame fight scenes. Not even the wanna be style of the Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack could save this youtube like movie. Only worth while fun character was Harley Quinn & even some of her one liners failed to deliver. Read the comic book instead.

I saw it yesterday and it was so good. don't believe the critics reviews because it's not true. everyone who saw the movie with me all agreed it was super good. I'm seeing it again tomorrow. it's totally worth your time to watch this and I highly recommend it!

Just saw this movie a few hours ago. Had low expectations going into the movie because of the preview....but the movie is the best one I've seen this year! And I'm now preordering it!

If your reaing the rotten tomatoes reviews, I want you to forget everything that you have read and go watch this movie. It is such a great film and so beautifully done that I have already seen it 3 times. Every time I was enjoying every single second of this movie. David Ayer, along with his amazing cast, has outdone themselves to a ridiculous extent. I cannot express enough how great this movie is. Please go see it if you havent already for you will be extremely satisfyed. I will only say again how wrong the critics were and how amazing this movie is. I am a die-hard DC and Marvel fan and even those who do not share this quality with me will have an amazing time in this movie.

I sooo wanted to like this movie but what a mess. I loved Deadshot & I liked Harley. But the editing of this movie is awful. The end was worse than fantastic four. Cara delawhatever should win a razzie. The cgi of her and the two creatures at the end was terrible. Joker was OK but unnecessary. His and Harley's origin should have been left out or explained better. She's just in love with a psychopath....y? I was excited when I heard we were going to see Batman from the villains point of view. This could have been amazing in so many ways but it wasn't at all. The Deadshot and Harley scenes really didn't work. Batman shows up in an ally to attack Deadshot which puts a child in danger instead of following him until the girl is gone then attack. Doesn't make sense. The creepy Harley make out scene was just weird.

Awful script, lousy pedestrian direction, total trainwreck, unmitigated disaster of a movie.

The animation was well done, the soundtrack went well with the action and events of the movie. I had a couple problems with the way characters were written but only during a specific part here or there. Overall, fantastic movie. It was funny, tons of action, great plot and subplot to drive the action forward and set up for future films. I would definitely see it again.

I just got back from seeing Suicide Squad and I loved it. Is it perfect? No, but what is? I know that I was entertained the whole time and didn't look at my watch once. All of the actors brought their A-game, especially Margo Robbie and Will Smith. My only complaint was that then end was a little weak. If you like DC characters and want to see something done differently than everything we've seen before with their stories, don't base your decision to see it on the reviews.
