An amazing horror movie, despite a few minor editing problems. The CIA, creatures "From Beyond," and H.P. Lovecraft figure into the story-line. The tension never lets up. Recommended for fright fans who want intelligence in their films, rather than CGI tricks. Ted Levine gives the performance of a lifetime as a Gonzo Hunter S. Thompson type.

I rented it with some reluctance because the found footage genre has gotten so tired. But I got hooked 5 min in, and it never let go, compounding an original premise with a constantly bending story and excellent direction and performances. Oh and an amazing soundtrack. It has nicely setup scares, but it's the mashup of different themes that make it an almost classic.

i’ve seen almost every sci-fi and horror movie out there… very few actually scare me, but this one did. i don’t know exactly what about it was so… unsettling, but it stuck with me.

I do not scare easy AT ALL, i couldn't sleep and I didn't want to wake my mate, so I put on headphones. I have never been so scared that my whole body was and still is so tense from this movie. The last movie that scared me was the first time I saw Silence of the Lambs, which was many years ago. This movie scared me so much that I had to pause it and walk away from it to settle my nerves a couple times. I'm going to crawl into bed with my mate cause I am still scared. Whew what an experience!

all i ask of a horror movie is that it scares me. this one did. there are more than a few legitimate jumps in this movie. i was very pleasantly surprised at the overall quality of the acting and the story.

I have been looking forward to this film for a while now, since I love the found footage format and conspiracy theories. This movie, however, was one of the most disappointing experiences in recent memory. While the acting was great, for the most part, it just seems like the the movie relied too heavily on jump scares and unseen imagery to create a sense of dread that does not linger. The premise is great, but the execution was just so poorly done that I wonder whom thought that hiding all of the best details in the movie was a good idea. What’s the point of a horror movie where you don’t see the horror?

I must admit, I jumped a few times from some expected scenes, and some of the effects were convincing, but overall, I would never recommend this film to anyone. Please, do yourself the favor and save your money for something else. This movie just doesn’t cut it.

Heard about this on Howard Stern show from Zachery Quentin. This is one of the coolest twists on drug usage I've ever seen in a movie. If you know how drugs interact with the brain and how hallucinogenics affect the mind, your heart will be racing from begining to end! Funny thing about DMT is that in the real world it's regarded as a spiritual substance connecting you to another dimension. And in the movie it's portrayed as the scariest drug I've ever seen!

The concept is extremely intriguing and the film is one of the very few which successfully managed to scare me once or twice, not to mention the overall creepy atmosphere. The only downside is that the movie should’ve had another 15-30 minutes. The story isn’t incomplete but I wish we had more insight into the world of the movie.

Other than that, it’s a really entertaining watch, especially if Conspiracy Theories, Project MK-Ultra and Area 51 stuff interest you.

I enjoyed the conspiracy theory angles blended into this movie. Just enough campy cerebral content to not be insulting and enough surprises to make you jump. Not a classic but very well done on a tight budget. Worth my dollars.

I could use any of those words in the title to describe this film. Definately enjoyable...(can I add that last one too?)

This movie started out like evry other camera footage movie, but the came the unexscepted. This movie requires alittle bit of knowledge in general about what drugs can do to the mind along with what can the mind or brain do with drugs(chemicals).It's definitely a scare to one's mind as well as a scary shock value.If your looking for the typical slasher\zombie,don't rent. If you what to invest some thought into it, this can take you down a wicked path of destruction.

I'm usually quite good at scary movies but this one made me jump in my seat quite a few times! The premise is creepy, the acting is great, and I couldn't stop thinking about it for quite a bit afterwards. If you want to see something frightening without all the gore of slasher movies then this is a great choice.
