The acting, the pacing, the soundtrack... My god the movie is nearly perfect, and Olyvia Wylde never looked so good. Sorry there was no fight for the skybeam at the end for those calling for more action, and there wasn't a lot of exposition to tell you what was going on. One of the most underrated movies ever,

The background soundtrack mix for "English (US)" is mono. All other parts of the mix are in stereo except for the background music which is one of the best parts of the movie. English (US) AD, French and Spanish all have the correct stereo mix.

Visuals of the movie seem fine but it's hard to watch when the background music sounds like it's coming from one speaker.

Please fix it.

Good story line & action. The graphics are awesome. On with the user’s.

The audio is horrible and the HD leaves much to be desired. I’m watching on a Apple TV 4K on a Samsung 4K TV and the quality looks SD and the sound matches SD content. I don’t know what Disney was thinking, but this movie deserves much better treatment as it was a wonderful addition to the Tron universe. Ten years later and I’ve heard only rumors that Disney will bring this back out in 4K and fix all the Clu/Flynn horrible CGI. I’d just settle for 4K love and audio that doesn’t sound mono (doesn’t even sound stereo and I’m listening on Apple AirPods Pro). My recommendation is simple. Wait until Disney actually gets off their backsides and gives this movie, along with Tron 1982, some 4K love and fixes the horrendous audio. They updated Star Wars to 4K (yet still haven’t given us the ORIGINAL movies without the horrible CGI additions that Lucas gave us) and the Marvel movies and pretty much all their cartoon movies, but Tron is still on the back burner for some reason. Come on, Disney, get with the program and listen to your Tron fans. This is ridiculous!

This movie is so good! From the score to the cast everything is so high edge and amazing!!!! A must see way better than the original which is hard to come by these days!

51 rotten tomatoes, what A JOKE!!! Never did and still don’t use any review critic for a movie especially not rotten tomato. Unless they’re my own eyes I don’t believe it. This movie is stunningly cool, great looking and fun. Great story, cool action, a definite should own it won’t disappoint, great soundtrack as well.

Tron Legacy isn't a good movie it's sad that people didn't like this new edition to Tron and the original still holds up no wonder why this movie is garbage.

Clearly went over a lot of heads. That’s too bad, this deserved a sequel...trilogy....saga.

Great movie

When I had this movie on dvd I was upsets with tron as I was 12 years old. Now I’m 17 and this movie is still my favorite.

Critics are paid to be critics, good and bad. They find one negative thing about the movie and their reviews turn negative. Tron: Legacy is a fresh and modern sequel to the 1982 film (which was so visually awful that it was good). Having Daft Punk score the entire movie was a grade A move, because they are legends. Visually stunning, the music is 10/10, you can see where the CGI was challanged but that's to be expected for the time period. Jeff Bridges and Daft Punk need to be immortalized.

When Disney produced great movies. Two thumbs up!

I think that the critics think this movie is predictable, which I why they did half and half, but is it really? Even though after you watch any movie a few times, it gets predictable, but not everything is.

It’s the best movie I’ve ever seen

This was a really great movie. Unsure why the critics panned it. The professionally reviewers seem to think every movie should be a groundbreaking work of art. Nothing groundbreaking here, but a great film none-the-less. A very worthy sequel with a solid story line, good acting, excellent special effects (Except the youthful CGI of Jeff Bridges, a little lame), and an overall entertaiing movie.

The story and visuals of this movie is beyond imaginable. Love it so much, there needs to be another one!!

I love this movie. All the special effects, lighting and music are amazing. Definitely a must see. I can only hope they make a third movie in this series.

This is a film that has been overlooked as just a sequel. This movie is more than that. It’s a visual masterpiece with great Story telling with a bit of nostalgia. I love every frame and the simmering beneath the film that draws you from one scene to another. You don’t have to buy it, but you will enjoy watching it.. even if it’s free!

First of the legacy of the Tron movie

The first one that thanks to that movie we have CG in movies to begin with. For people they compare Tron Legacy to Matrix , shove a sock in your mouth and stop talking cause if you see the first Tron and the year it was released I'd say Matrix used somr Tron like ideas, especially with the programs. Tron Legacy is a very good movie and does not ruin the sci-fi experience , but can be understood better from the non mainstream scifi movie lovers!!!

I don't know if it's just me but it looks like some people think TRON is the bomb and other people just fall asleep watching it. My suggestion is see the preview, it's over 9 min. long and then decide for yourself before you watch it. So you don't have to complain about your bad movie experience or whatever. (Because seriously, nobody likes to hear that junk!). I thought TRON: Legacy was great myself though! 

Why cant this movie be pre ordered.

I ask that all ctirics who are looking for some deep and insightful movie to just go somewhere else. It seems that Claudia Puig from USA Today gets a highlight in the "Top Critics' Reviews" and she entirely misses the point. She even goes so far as to compare it to "The Social Network." Correct me if I'm wrong but one is inspired by a true story of social networking and the other is a sci-fi adventure that pulls us into the realm of fantasy where we get to be kids again. Claudia Puig = EPIC FAIL on this go-round.

This movie may not be the greatest movie ever written and it has its moments where the screenplay is a bit weak, but to pick out these points is to miss the grandeur that IS Tron. The original was groundbreaking in its use of blacklights and CGI and gave us a hint of what a cyberworld COULD look like. Tron: Legacy takes that imagery and runs with it, bringing back the lightcycle battles and reintroducing us to various means of travel. Sure it has an edge that is Matrix-esque, but that is because the Matrix borrows from the original. The eye candy is nice but, when it all comes down to it, the movie is just good fun with a great soundtrack from Daft Punk (not traditional Daft Punk, but Daft Punk with a specific task that they manage to carry off spectacularly).

If you don't buy this movie, find some way to watch it, because it will allow you to disappear into fantasy for just a little while and prompt that niggling question of "what if?"

Bruce Boxleitner should have had a greater part in the movie, after all he is Tron. In Tron Flint was a gamer and had the abilty to control the virtual world. In Tron: Legacy, Flint's son, Sam, showed no remarkable abilities. The action scenes were stale compaired to those in Tron. The new "lifeform" storyline was rediculous. Tron's redemprion at the end was a travesty, and the ending with Sam and the new "lifeform" ridding off in to the sunset makes a mockery of the truely briliant Tron. All in all decent, but needed more imagination that what was offered.

The critics clearly checked out the minute they heard the words sci-fi. While this film is rife with beautiful images, it is a much deeper story if you are willing to give it a chance. This film explores the relationships between father and sons and patterns of neglect. It is also an allusion to sympathetic theology marked by human flaws and also the perspective of prejudice in ideals of perfection. It is both a philosophical landmine and a fantastical retelling of the grit of ancient Rome and Nazi germany both. While it incorporates concepts of Judeo-Christianity and Buddism, it is tempered with a humanity that is all inclusive and so welcoming that most people do not even recognize the existance of a subtext. While Jeff Bridges as Flynn can become tiresome as a reincarnation of "the Dude", Bridges as Clu is a wonderful depiction of the lost little boy inside every dictator. It is the minor characters that sell this film, Zues' small scenes alone unite this world and ours intimately. The Social Network is a story of an individual, Tron is a story about a family destroyed by power and as such I would encourage an exploration of Tron rather than the obtuse quality of a tale of self-indulgence.

In my experience the "critics" rarely have an opinion that I agree with. I decided a long time ago that I knew best what I enjoyed and not some group of people that i had never met. That being said i am now going to share my opinion with you, as an opinion. Tron: Legacy was visual mind blowing, I went into the theatre with very high expectations in regard to the visual style, effects and 3D experience. Disney delivered with out fail in all areas and they did it with a film that our children can enjoy with out us worrying that they will be exposed to something not appropriate for there age. I love that Disney is showing our children what quality and excellence is at such a young age because they will be the ones to take what we have invested and spearheaded to the next unimagined level.

Now there have been some comments about the plot being weak but i do not believe that some people have realized the depth and scope of what this story is about. Its a Creation Myth of a very unique kind. Kevin Flynn has created a universe that has sustained its self and surpassed his wildest dreams and now his son has come to, in a way, protect it and govern it. My hope is that the public and the people who loved this film will continue to voice there opinion so that Disney can see they have a product worth investing in and that we can see another sequal to Tron: Legacy before another 20 year go by.

WATCHED AT LEAST 6 times in the theatre and 3 times in the IMAX

I really like this movie, it was very exciting and thrilling. The plot was very well done, and the characters were interesting. I can't wait to see the original film when it comes out along with this one.

I Absolutely Loved That Awesome Movie It Was Great

This movie rocks! I'm so buying it when it comes out! And the people who say "if you like this movie your dumb" no, were not. Your the dumb one. So if you have something negative say, just keep your big mouth shut!

Good way to introduce your kids to the cyberpunk genre. Fantastic visuals that really communicated the beauty and darkness of The Grid. Captured much of the fun and excitement of the original. The story hit on themes consistent with the genre as well as some more classical sci-fi (e.g. Asimov's I, Robot). Legacy clearly separates the digital world from the physical in a way that even kids can understand. Sam's world is portrayed as dystopian without being depressing which is good for kids. My only complaint was there was a little too much Dude (from The Big Lewbowski) in Jeff Bridges performance. I enjoyed the inside jokes for those of us who remember the original though if you really remember the original, one of the big reveals is kind of blown almost from the beginning. The games sequence is worth the price of admission alone. I also found the main protagonist's use of a Nokia phone in a Disney film a little amusing.

This movie is phenomenal! It is great I am utterly shocked it isn't up for any awards (to my knowledge) I wish I could give more than 5 stars it is a must see filled with action adventure drama a bit of romance and comedy and awesome music! Best movie I have seen in a long while! In my opinion the best movie of the year!!!

I have a mental list of my favorite movies and Tron was already up there but then came Tron: Legacy which exceeded my movie standards. I saw it in theatres and was amazed by the graphics and the music. The storyline was also amazing. This movie is a must see.

This movie is undoubtably one of the best movies I have ever seen. This movie is an amazing extension of a timeless nerd classic. This (in my opinion) should go right up there with Star Wars: The Original Trilogy. The soundtrack, graphics, storyline, and the respect of the first movie is grade A material the only qualm to this movie was the middle part where they have a talk over dinner however this still has importance as it is one of those character development scenes that is necessary in a movie (after all it can't ALL be action now can it?).

Ps Why does everyone forget RAM from the original Tron? He was one of the fricking main characters!

Ah Man. I could go on all day long about this movie. Its definetly my all time favorite movies! Great for the whole family to check out. The violence isnt too strong, and they curse once, maybe twice.

The story is about Sam Flynn, Son of Kevin. For those who enjoyed the orignial, This is a MUST SEE!

I am possibly as picky as it comes when dealing with entertainment and "art". If I'm gonna spend 1.5-3 hours watching/listening to y piece it had better well be worth my time.

Honestly I went to see this movie due to nostalgia. A good friend of mine had me see TRON the original and though I found it imaginative, it was rather boring. But out of respect for his memory I went with friends to see it. I was blown away. When it was over I just wanted to see more. I didn't care what the storyline was at that point... I just wanted more.

Amazing visuals and great soundtrack matched with credible acting and a some really great lines and moments... I generally seem to follow critics (for better or worse)O but here I fail to see where their critiques of this movie really lie. I guess there wasn't any sex and the language was really clean. Not racy enough? That’s all I can think of...

Now I see why it took so long to make this movie it was a masterpiece this film will go down in history can't wait for the third

There are several types of movies. But to put it in 2 categories; movies as an artform and movies to entertain. Critics enjoy movies made as an artform that also entertain. Obviously the critics are mixed when it came to Tron: Legacy. This was a great movie, especially when you compare it to the original Tron. If you were lucky enough to have seen the original before Legacy came out, this movie paid homage to what Tron stood for. It was graphically stunning, amazing soundtrack, entertaining, and captured an idea that computers are more than just machines (especially true now after IBM's Jeopardy run). My favorite movie of 2010 hands down (as compared to Black Swan, Social Network, True Grit, any and all nominated movies).

Critics!!! .... you're messing with my zen thing!!!

Obviously this movie is not for critics. It was the same back in the 80's when Tron was released. It may not well be a commercial success but for a Tron fan like myself it is a blast, graphics, 3D, Jeff Bridges as Flynn and Clu (so cool), music, all blends perfectly to make great entertainment and well worth owning it to watch it again!

Tron universe has improved with Legacy, light-cycles are awesome, Rinzler is just too cool, and the games are perfect. Enjoy!!!

Man. I'm so happy we are all saying the same thing about this movie. And you ( reader ) should too. I love this movie more than movies themselves. I was 4 when this came out and saw it later on VHS when I was 9. Ever since I have always wished for another movie. Now that we have redone every movie out there, it's about time that we got it right. Daft Punk is just the icing on the cake and if you love TRON and Daft Punk like me then you will truly love Derezzed the music video. You think it's about DP and it is but it's so much more. Don't want to spoil for you. But i was like "wow it just keeps getting better. I'm so thrilled that so many people feel the way I do. Epic movie. Can't wait for the next two. Which after some of the flops that have become trilogies, I know us TRON guyz can't wait. I love this movie. Can't stop talking about it.

I'm a pretty anti-Disney person, so I thought my friends and I would go see this and laugh at how bad it was. However we were all really surprised, because this movie was AMAZING. It can be slow at time but for the most part it's epic and really great for people of pretty much any age. :)

After watching this movie 6 times while in the big screen. i recommend it to everyone. sure some might not agree with the story line but the music is just awesome and some of the visual are to die for. never have i fallen in love with such a great movie. the light-jet scene was just jaw dropping, not to mention the track playing in the background made it perfect.

some of the review from big critics dont know what they are talking about. i personaly thought the suits where awesome i am building one as i speak. this movie get 5 out of 5 from me.

Tron was amazing. Tron Legacy was fantastic. It was not only a continuation of the Tron, but it is also a reboot of the idea of world in computer where. Great cast. Hot Olivia Wilde. Mind blowing seeing Jeff Bridges play two parts. And overall just a beautiful world filled with extreme details that is compared to few other 3d movies. I disagree with some of these movie critics who get paid to watch movies. Half of them say it was ok but a disappointment. These were the same movie critics who thought some of the cheesy low budget movies that took our money. And forget about the other people saying, oh it's like the matrix. Well guess what. Tron beat them to it of a world in a computer. Those people need immediate derezzolution. Tron Lives

What a great movie experience!! The MUSIC! The EFFECTS and REALISM. Nothing like it even has come close in all my life. This movie rocks. Its like you are in a REAL WORLD even though, well, you know. Its so real!! It cost me 50 bucks just to take my wife, and if I wanted to take all the kids it would have cost $200. Now this cost me 20 bucks and we can watch it again and again. What a deal! We have a rockin HD system, so this is going to KICK. Get the pop corn ready! Can't wait.

The critics? Who needs 'em? The rotten ones, if they don't get their fill of smut they are unhappy. "Human interest" indeed! They are consistently WRONG on family friendly movies, OUR ENTERTAINMENT FARE.

Come on? 49%? This movie is the best one I've seen until now. The special effects, the music is wonderful (the soundtrack is a must get, of course), the cast (OH gosh, Garrett Hedlund is amazing) and what about the plot-line? IT'S GREAT! After the 1st time I saw it, I heard people saying the plot line was pure crap and it was very predictable and boring. It was a but predictable but not boring at all! Let me mention I saw this movie over 5 times and I just can't get tired of watching it over and over, seriously :'D

I am also quite surprised the movie wasn't nominated for a Special Effects Oscar, neither the soundtrack (which I love) for a Music Oscar.

This is an amazing movie. In order to understand it better, you'd need to see the 1982's TRON movie, but bah. I really enjoyed this movie. MUST PREORDER, people. It's worth it! 8D

Takes movies to a new level

A movie like this comes along once in a few generations. The impact on the fields of technology will be amazing as the imagination of a generation comes roaring back to live.

This movie was awesome, saw it 5 times in theatres.

Don't even listen to the moronic critics. They obviously don't know the good movies from the bad ones, and this was an amazing movie. For a PG rated Disney movie, I was blown away. I had high expectations for this movie, and my high expectations were blown away because it was even better than what I thought it was going to be. WELL WORTH SEEING IT IN THEATERS 3 SEPARATE TIMES!

Dazzling special effects, wonderful plot-line, great character development, great music... Etc.

This movie is of the same caliber as the original TRON, with beautiful, ground-breaking special effects and JEFF FREAKING BRIDGES.

This and TRON 1982 are two of the movies that define America.

i saw it imax 3D and it was so worth it but not sure about the $10 for red vines and a bottled water. the effects and music ruled the show and really got the crowd into things big time. i will be seeing this again very soon for sure. i got there an hour early and no line but that was because everyone was inside. the theater was packed and i didn't see anything then finally asked a guy in the very back if the seat was open and he moved his stuff and i sat. it was dead center far back and the best seat in the house so i scored. it was also a handicap seat so for the next hour i prayed i didn't see anyone in a wheelchair!

olivia wilde and beau garrett looked so damn hot in those outfits and with plenty of butt shots in 3D! ;)

I was lucky enough to be one of the first to see this movie, and I wasn't expecting much from it either. But, I left the theater in aw. I loved it. The effects were more futuristic than fake. I liked the story line and the history behind this movie. You won't even believe that Disney made this. I would definitely recommend buying this movie, especially if you have younger children in the home. Enjoy! :)
