I love this movie...so touching. A true story of unending love and devotion. I love the music too!

Great movie, Blunt and Friend are superb. The recent PBS series on Victoria and Albert is more richly detailed and gives more depth and insight into this period of their lives. Prince Albert's vast achievements for the Crown and his unwavering devotion to Victoria are extraordinary.

Perhaps the only thing in this movie more beautiful than Emily Blunt is the music that accompanies this amazing film. I rarely ever leave reivews on movies but The Young Victoria is easily one of the best films I've ever seen - it is truly not a movie to be missed.

This movie neither draws me in or turns me off. It's just bland. Not much real connection between Victoria and Albert as played by the principals. I really don't see the whole point of making the movie.

I haven’t heard of this film only until five hours ago and I certainly do not regret the choice of seeing it right away (and delaying my math homework)! Beautiful cinematography, mise-en-scene’s pretty good for me and the actors’ portrayal also were realistic. How I wish I had my own Prince Albert! It’s now one of my favorite movies to date.❤️👍

Alert: some Victorian values may be expressed here - good character, devotion to duty, hard work, respectable behavior. Beautifully written by Julian Fellows - true, some license used like in the assassination attempt. Nice to know that there were good people in the aristocracy as well as the not so good.

She is one of Hollywood’s best and this part is perfect for her. The entire cast is quite perfect in this wonderful story of intrigue and ascension in Victoria’s time.

This movie is very engaging. I liked how Queen Victoria and Prince Albert are portrayed as people with grit. We need more of this everywhere.

I love Queen Victoria and Albert. My second romantic movie after Pride and Prejudice. I love it because there is no sex before the wedding and the fact that Victoria proposed to Albert!!!! I don't care that they are cousins. They fell in love the way Darcy and Lizzie fell in love. The one who plays Albert played Wickham in Pride and Prejudice I just want to slap him but I loved the movie!!!!!

I am a male who is usually not into these types of movies but this movie stole away my heart, the acting is sublime and the story perfect. The romance of it will leave the largest grin on your face and the music just perfects this film. It is the Titanic of period films. God Save the Queen!!

Best well movie ever!

One of the best romances I have ever seen.

Beautiful and entertaining to watch. Clever dramatic history. Enjoy the visual journey as you go through a simple, but well-enough constructed, storyline with such distinct character development and terrific acting your heartstrings forget the predictability of the plot and are pulled by the love and integrity of Albert and Victoria. Great airplane movie.

Watching this movie makes me happy! It's so nice to see a good love story, especially one that is taken from real life. As some of the other reviewers said, I wish it didn't end when it did - would have liked to have seen more of their marriage and their family life with their children. Maybe we'll get a sequel one day - "The Middle-Aged Victoria"!

Kind of an average film. Decent acting, costumes, scenery. The characters were too one dimensional for me. Especially the end- It felt a little propaganda-y about the greatness of Q. Victoria.

This movie makes me cry every time I see it. it tells girls that you can do anything becaus Victoria is only 18 when she comes to the throne and witht he help of her husband (Whom she married like three years later dont worry parents) she is able to run her country and also teaches girls to find true love based on understanding

This is one of my favorite films of all time. Emily Blunts performance is flawless, her best work by far. I can't get enough of this film or this era, I love it.

Emily Blunt and Rupert Friend have an incredible chemistry that really takes you back to the days of old-fashioned, but still romantic love. This film proves that you don't need car chases, strip clubs, and a ton of sex to make a film great.

Many movies that have a victorian era style to them are rather depressing like The Duchess, Marie Antoinette, The Other Boleyn Girl, although they are beautiful and stunning movies it is nice to finally see one that has different types of drama. The whole movie focuses on a love that was out of this world<3 It is both refreshing and a def. must see

In "The Young Victoria" they stay as close to the actual story of Victoria and Albert's romance as absolutely possible. Which seldom happens in most historical period movies.

The set and costumes are absolutely beautiful and give off the feeling of real royalty.

I watched this during my AP World History class and was able to cite this movie in my bibliography for my final exam because it is that accurate.

The Young Victoria keeps you enthralled in is's plot and the history behind it by portraying them as beautifully as possible. The actors use their expressions, rely on the emotions from the scenes and the back-ground music to help the movie move.

wow. seriously, this movie is a must see! Emily Blunt and Rupert FRiend are AMAZING. you actually beleive that are really, truly are in love. I have seen many movies and many of them have been a romance. I have Never seen such a convincing romantic movie. It is also very acurate with it's history. A very BIG recomendation of mine.

This movie has raised the way I think about life itself. I know that you can't do anything extrodenery with out God. He helps you with big staff you just have to worry about. The little things in life. Queen Victoria you heard that she liked learning the things that were tought in the pulpet at church. You must trust in God forever, in all things. For you to get were you want to go. Queen Victoria didn't quit when it got hard she continued on trusting in God.

For a woman to take over the kingdom at the mere age of 18 and create an empire is quite extraordinary. I actually admire her personality bossy and high headed, but aspired and ambitious. This movie did an excellent job showing the first few years of her reigning and of course with her beloved Prince Albert. He truly inspired her, "you better master the rules of the game before you play it better than they do".

As a proud history nerd I would like to say that this is one of the most beautifully made historical pictures out there. Friend and Blunt have amazing chemistry and the movie just comes to life. Its a movie that everyone can enjoy. Not to mentin that its quite historically acurate, which for a historical film is amazing. 5 stars, it was great. Best money you will spend.

An excellent depiction of the young Queen Victoria. It was so entertaining that it was over before I was ready for it to be. I would have liked to have seen more of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert's time together before he died. The acting was excellent.

This heart warming and thrilling piece is painted by the seconds for us throughout the film. Truly an inspired person, victoria was, and she made her life about good works. Only if the people today were as brave and sharp with thier tongues as she emulates with albert in this film. An absolute brillance captivated my senses while I watched, and shared in their anger, sorrow, pain, and laughter. Kudos to the director, actors, and all those who worked to bring the film to life., and kudos to Victoria and Albert for their lives and the example they gave us. This film is worth the time, love, and dedication.

While the movie has a few small plot enhancements for dramatic purposes, the true intent, the love between Victoria and Albert comes shining through. This is one of those films that most romantics (and almost all women) love, because of the devotion and adoration shown towards wife from husband. Few women experience this. Consequently, we live it vicariously through such films as this. Enjoy it.

This movie moved me to tears.... the picture, soundtrack, costumes, and acting is simply astounding and SUPERB!!!!!!! This is a definite must buy-- one of the greatest historic fiction movies you can find on iTunes.

Call the press, dear, for I am afraid that my telephone is broken......Anywho, I dare write this review, because though I love History, and ALL things HISTORICALLY CORRECT, I am first and foremost a die-hard (And secret ) romantic. Thus, I fell in love...With Victoria, Albert, the whole cast....everything. It was beautiful, and, well (*blushes*)...it was all historically accurate. And I love History......I should probably study for my mid-terms then..........Yay!!!!!!......................

I can't get enough of this movie! I watched it every night making my roommate mad. I love the music, and the love story.

I loved this movie, and i am pretty picky when it comes to english period pieces, they can get a bit sappy or take themselves way to seriously. But this one was very enjoyable the whole way through, and i loved Emily Blunt's portrail of Victoria, kinda quirky but in a very endearing fashion. It's also one of those stories about real love in a time and situation where love wasn't really required or very likely to find you. If your a sap about that kinda stuff i am sure u will find this movie beautiful. it may be more of a rental for some, but now that i have seen it i am glad i bought it.

If you have got as far as reading the reviews, then ignore Ella Taylor. This is a beautifully crafted film with robust acting, gorgeous costumes and sets and in my opinion finds the right balance between historic accuracy and romance. Emily Blunt is outstanding as are the rest of the supporting cast.

I have always loved Queen Victoria!! This movie is very well done!! I just rented it because i wanted to make sure it was going to be a keeper. Well, I'm here to tell you....IT IS!! I enjoyed every minute of it!

this movie was stunning esp. the acting by emily blunt and rupert friend and the story of a true romance that supported an empire. we see all the ups and downs of history and romance intertwined. this story brings out a sort of elegance that we rarely find in modern movies.

My friend and I were excited about this movie since viewing the trailer. It was a fabulous historical drama of the young Princess Victoria who becomes Queen of England. She faces many challenges as many try to suade her in many directions. She takes her stance as independent queen and sets out to improve the quality of life for the average Englishman. It's too bad it stopped where it did, I was waiting for it to go on and continue to tell the story.

enjoyable, good costumes. Emily Blunt is MUCH prettier than the real-life Victoria. As always, Hollywood changes certain episodes to make the story more dramatic (SPOILER: Prince Albert wasn't hit in the real assassination attempt).

Although the fact that I'm a sucker for British movies/movies about Great Britain proves I am biased, I think it's safe to say that bias or no, this movie is amazing. It's an excellent portrayal of one of history's greatest women, and England's greatest Queen. The story is well developed, moves at a good pace, and the portrayal of the romance between Albert and Victoria is sweet and charming. Well done. :)

Even after watching the trailer, I began falling in love with this movie. Emily Blunt played her part amazingly well. She is definitely one of my favorite actresses. What an amazing story, and it is so neat that it's true. While we were borrowing the movie for the weekend, I ended up watching it at least four times and still couldn't get enough of it. I would reccommend this movie to pretty much anyone...Well, maybe guys wouldn't appreciate it as much--although, my dad who is mostly a sporty/adventure type guy admitted that he enjoyed it!

The cinematography and costuming in the film are absolutely incredible. Beautiful with a capital B. The story telling, characters, timing, plot and acting are all extremely well done. Paul Bettany turns in a role that is different than his usual and very well done. Emily Blunt is a superb actress. I don't recognize the male lead, but he is great. It's amazing that most of the story is true and the movie handles the subject matter very well. The court intrigue portrayed is believable and involving. I usually think of Queen Victoria as a white-haired, black-clothed dour old woman. This movie enlightened me to her life story. Hers is one of the few high-profile, arranged marriages that ended up being a love story. This is a definite must, Must see.

I saw in THREE times in the theaters and just watched it for the first time after buying it. Such a lovely story about a strong woman and her incredibly romantic relationship with her supportive husband. I recommend it to all!

This movie was wonderful! I was really worried because there wasn't much advertisement of this movie and unfortunately i have watched quite a few flops lately, but I was quite surprised how good this movie truely is. It tells a love story between a young girl that becomes queen and the young boy she chose to rule with. It keeps you interested in the movie and it doesn't seem to drag on and on! It really is worth watching, it's a very lovely movie!

Oohhhhh, just watched this movie it's so good! It is now my favorite movie! I'm probably going to begin fantasizing about prince Albert! I love romance movies and this just made me sigh! After it was over I felt so warm and excited, I just wish I had a great life like that, an awesome loving romantic husband, all the luxery a girl could need, the list goes on and on. I just watched this movie about a week ago and I came out thinking, "wow she was amazing." emily blunt portays the character very well and the connection between her and her love is so deep. I think this is a movie well worth your money :)

I saw this movie on a plane ride coming back from London in June 2009. I loved it so much I watched it twice in the same plane ride (it is that good!). I saw it in theaters in the US and recently bought it the day it came out for home release. This is an excellent movie. The acting, especially by Emily Blunt and Rupert Friend (who play Victoria and Albert), is wonderful. The cinematography is excellent and really captures the gorgeous landscape of Victoria and Albert's blossoming romance. I give this movie two huge thumbs up!

It was an excellent and very captivating story of Queen Victoria's struggle to become the great ruler she was, as she inherited the throne at such a young age. Beautiful love story, and gorgeous costume made this movie a must-have!

A perfectly beautiful movie!!

I saw this movie in the theater and it was so well done and the content is historically correct. I feel it should have been given more recognition at the Academy Awards, although it fully deserved the nominations it got and won.

That said, it is refreshing to see a movie based on England's royal history that had not been tarnished with too much sexual content (even though we know they were "active") my point being that a parent can allow his or her daughters to watch this movie without being embarrassed or fear of them asking curious questions.

I love movies depicting this period, and The Young Victoria did not disappoint! The love of Victoria and Albert was inspiring to me - and I love that this not a fictional story! Unlike the couple in Bright Star, Albert and Victoria clearly complemented each other - and they were still healthy when they did not self-destruct in the early years of their relationship when they were apart (unlike Keats and Brawn).

I first saw The Young Victoria when it was in theaters. I walked out of the theater, and all I wanted to do was see it again. I waited and waited and finally it's available to buy. It's the most unbelievable movie that I've ever seen. From the costumes to the acting, the movie takes you back in time, and carries you through Queen Victoria's early life. Honestly, you can't know how wonderful the movie is until you see it.

This is a very good movie about Queen Victoria and the actors/actresses did a great job at reacting the characters. It was a fun way to learn about a tiny portion of England's history.

The Young Victoria was beautifully directed with the most stunning period costumes I have seen in recent time. I am excited to own this movie for viewing whenever I feel. The way that the relationship between Albert and Victoria was developed in the movie was moving. Though I have read quite a bit on the historical couple, I wanted to learn more after the film. Emily Blunt did a fantastic job and I think and hope that others will enjoy it as much as I did.
