Description

Brennan Huff, a sporadically employed thirty-nine-year-old who lives with his mother, Nancy. Dale Doback, a terminally unemployed forty-year-old who lives with his father, Robert. When Robert and Nancy marry and move in together, Brennan and Dale are forced to live with each other as step brothers. As their narcissism and downright aggressive laziness threaten to tear the family apart, these two middle-aged, immature, overgrown boys will orchestrate an insane, elaborate plan to bring their parents back together. To pull it off, they must form an unlikely bond that maybe, just maybe, will finally get them out of the house.

DON'T TOUCH MY DRUM SET!!!!! See, I was at a 6 there. You don't want to see me go to a 10! I'm going to fill a pillow case, and fill it gull of bars of soap and beat the *** out of you! That only proves how much this film has still held up over time. I love this movie just as much as I love Blades of Glory and the Anchorman films, I don't think I'll ever stop quoting it anytime soon!

I've heard/read mixed reviews of Step Brothers because there seems to be 2 kinds of critics with this movie. Those that want to watch a funny movie and not think, and those that want a movie that inspires them and moves them, like Citizen Kane, Gone With the Wind, ETC. Watch it if you want to kill an hour and a half with some good laughs.

From the parts I saw, this is a job well done! John C. Reilly and Will Ferell were fantastic at acting like 12 year olds! Extremely funny! The witty humor with the realization of growing up in this movie is outstanding!I could watch it 100 times and still laugh at Dale's fart and an him and Brennan sleep walking! HAHA!!!

Although the movie was funny, I don't think it compared to talladega nights! They are a good pair for comedy but they took it to the extreme in this movie...you don't know whether to laugh or be totally shocked and disgusted at times. It's good to rent but not to buy.....just my opinion tho.
