I was 2 when I first saw this movie we lived in Alaska we watched it while eating dinner (Mc Donald’s) I’ve loved this movie ever since I’ve based it on my life to be like SPAWN!...

Good story but some of the special-effects needed more work...especially the scenes of Hell.

Well it was from '98 so how much can you really expect? The visuals were nice for the time and it stayed true to the story, but it lacked heart. I would expect any remake to be 100% better than this but you can really find some excellent acting in Leguizamo.

Just keep your expectations relatively low and you won't be disappointed.

Spawn is awesome! I've been re-reading my collection 2 catch up in the comics.This movie is exactly what Spawn is! Action,horror,romance. Everything a good movie needs and then some!

This is not the "R" rated version of spawn. This is only a PG13. Half of the dialog is incorrect or dubbed over or entire parts of the movie missing. Yet another shining example of iTunes offering one thing and delivering another!!!

Even though I am someone who wants to see comic book movies do the characters justice, this film I don't mind. Sure the film has some predictable parts, but it was at least fun. I mean, the actors fit their roles perfectly and I honestly think this film is fun. So, if you are a Spawn fan or someone who is a fan of Ghost Rider (who by the way, I think Todd McFarlane ripped off) then check it out.

[At least it made more sense than the HBO series at least......]

I can watch Spawn all the time. Can't wait for blu Ray version.

I love this movie and have seen it plenty of times to know the diffrence between the PG-13 version and the R rated version. Do not buy this movie if you are expecting more curse words and a little more raucher Violater(john liugezemo). All the scenes i watched with him are all dubbed over, like the PG-13 version. Itunes needs to fix this and upload the correct version of this movie.

I liked it even if its old, they are good, i'm so glad actors didnt make a newer shows because this is enough to satisfy me, thanks itunes for making this both available and rent options, i recommend this movie to anyone who loves action, horror and great graphics, may look too old but good enough.

When this movie first came out it was the first R rated movie i had ever seen, and at 8 years old it was awesome. even todays it was the top of the line for 1998. i definatly give it a thumbs up and a must buy.

I have been a Spawn fan since it started and have the 1st copy still. It's not worth all that much, I know but just letting you know that I know this comic. Any ways I was very very disapointed by this movie. I know that a movie will never 100% to the book or comic but this one was like it was directed by a WB TV show director. When I found out they made a film about Spawn I saw it the day it came out. Should have skipped this one. Just to say that John Legrazamo (not sure if I spelled it right) was awesome in this movie, he played a great Violator. Todd Mcfarland is in the works to make another Spawn film to make up for the lame one. He said he was PO'ed about this one. So don't wast your money on this one dont even rent it, but wait for the new one. Look for Todd Mcfaland he will acting as a crack head or something like it. But the sound track is awesome get that instead.

Way ahead of its time and the effects were top notch! Great movie! Thumbs up!

This movie is good. Its got a bit of both horror and action, with a dark hero. Sure his back story is kinda' lame but this movie is an enjoyable expirience. For fans of the graphic novels/comic books, you may be offended by this movie and for fans of the cartoon this helps tie the stories together a bit more.
