This movie is not funny… yes, there was a couple of laughs, but really found it boring most of the time.
If you're not a teenager anymore, I'd suggest look elsewhere for a good comedy.

Bit too much of a gross-out comedy

Apart from starting a seeminly neverending series of sequels or spin-offs, the original American Pie stands as a Teen comedy classic, except not to me. Not to sound like a person who is not in the target audience for this movie (in fact I am in the target audience) but this movie was too much of a gross-out comedy rather than being really funny. Granted Jim's dad was pretty funny and Stifler was not that bad, but what about the rest of the movie? Well it was at the line of being either too disgusting to watch or unbearably not funny. This is disgusting, incredibly stupid, yet, there is something about the movie that somehow manages to keep me interested in the movie (and its NOT the possibility of nudity!) The characters are written well enough to be enjoyable and some of the moments are really, really funny.
Overall, American Pie may not be a comedy classic in my books, but its not bad. It has a bit too many disgusting moments to warrant a re-watch, but for what its worth, its just an okay movie.

I actually didnt want to see this movie.. but i ended up seeing it as a last result in the theaters.. and im glad i did.. this is by far one of the funniest series ever mad.. American Pie, American Pie 2 and American Wedding are all funny movies and a must have for all comedy lovers... you will not go wrong with these movies.. the pie sence, the "book", the prom dates, the after prom party... memories... im going to see these movies again right now just for laughs..
